Ministry aims to
develop and bring out best talents in students
[UAE,
March 9, 2014] – The UAE Ministry of Education and
“Girls Centers” have yesterday (Thursday, March 6, 2014) signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at discovering, guiding,
benefitting and nurturing talented students and investing in their
future.
The Memorandum was
signed by H.E. Humaid Mohammad Al Qatami, Minister of Education, and
by Fatima Al-Hosni, Assistant Manager of the Girls Centers who signed
on behalf of Sheikha Aisha Al Qasimi.
The agreement
highlights the need to harness the full potential of students and
raise national awareness on their efforts to help with the overall
development of human and financial resources. It also seeks to
nurture and enhance available human capital and support talented
students. This will result in the creation of a strong intellectual
base from which students can showcase their talents and creativity,
reflecting the commitment towards the nation and its people, and
raise the level of social and cultural awareness for the country’s
students.
Among the goals and
mechanisms to be implemented through the agreement are the
dissemination of the activities and programs offered by the Girls
Centers to other educational institutions and support for the
programs and events offered by the school. By building new
partnerships, the parties will be able to exchange professional
experiences and curricula with leading specialists from Girls
Centers, as well as with professionals in culture and arts-related
curricula management, including Theatre, Drawing and Music, to draw
out the best from students.
The MOU will be
circulated to all public and private schools supervised by the UAE
Ministry of Education and will include a letter from the Ministry
emphasizing cooperation and facilitation for the tasks given to the
Girls Centers. A link to the Girls Centers website will also be
placed on the official website of the Ministry to facilitate mutual
marketing and promotional activities.
