Event advocates culture
of excellence to realize UAE Vision 2021
UAE – February 9, 2014 – Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU) has finalized
preparations for hosting the 7th Quality Conference in the Middle
East to be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh
Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and President of
HBMeU, and under the umbrella of the HBMeU Congress.
The conference will take
place from March 3 to 5, 2014 at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai. It complements
the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership and forms part of efforts to broaden
the adoption of excellence and quality practices and the exchange and transfer
of expertise to ensure continuous development and optimize total performance.
The 7th
Quality Conference in the Middle East’s theme is ‘Towards Sustainable
Excellence: Leading a Successful Transformation.’ Its agenda will include a
series of Policy and Strategy Roundtable meetings and discussions that will
focus on the transformation towards sustainable excellence. Workshops
discussing the positive energy inspired by the leadership of H.H. Sheikh
Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and
Ruler of Dubai, will be held as well.
The conference will
discuss a collection of research and analytic papers, presentations and current
studies with the participation of key academics, government decision-makers, experts
and representatives of international organizations and government agencies. The
best papers will be published in ‘The International Journal of Excellence in
Public Sector Management’ (ISSN: 1993-8640( and ‘The
International Journal of Excellence in e-Solution for Management’ (ISSN:
1993-8667) while other works presented in the conference will be considered for
publication.
The papers to be
presented by excellence and sustainability researchers will touch on various key
topics and issues such as ‘Sustainable Quality Improvement,’ ‘Achieving and
Sustaining Operative and Strategic Excellence,’ ‘Succeeding through Human
Resources: A Proven Strategy for Achieving Business Excellence,’ ‘Inspiration
for Creativity, Innovation and Quality,’ ‘Management with Agility for Achieving Business Excellence,’ ‘Managing Service
Quality in the era of a Service and Experience Economy: Managerial Challenges
and Opportunities,’ and ‘Managing Transformational Change: Challenges and
Opportunities.’
Commenting on the
conference, Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, HBMeU Chancellor, said: “Sustainable excellence is an
important pioneering concept that is gaining more attention nowadays as an
effective approach to address current and future challenges hindering the
progress of overall sustainability. The upcoming conference will provide a
platform to promote this idea and complement the government’s vision of
fostering a culture of Quality and Excellence within the community.”

Quality Conference in the Middle East aims to get valuable contributions from key
researchers, academics and local, regional and international experts who can
extensively discuss best practices for fostering a culture of Creativity,
Innovation and Quality, and promoting Human Investment in order to sustain Educational
and Institutional Excellency, which supports ambitious aspirations to build a
better future for the coming generations,” Al Awar added.
The HBMeU Congress 2014
is a strategic platform for stimulating academic and institutional innovation
and excellence as well as scientific research. The international gathering will
further enrich the knowledge base of the Middle East. Its agenda will include the
hosting of three distinguished concurrent scientific conferences, namely the
6th Conference on e-Learning Excellence in the Middle East to be held under the
theme ‘Leadership, Design, and Technology for 21st Century Learning;’ the 5th
Health and Environment Conference in the Middle East to be held under the theme
‘Transformation for Better Healthcare and Environment;’ and the 7th
Quality Conference in the Middle East under the theme ‘Towards Sustainable
Excellence: Leading a Successful Transformation.’

"جامعة حمدان بن محمّد الإلكترونية" تبحث
قضايا الاستدامة والابتكار والاستثمار البشري في "المؤتمر السابع للجودة في
الشرق الأوسط"
[الإمارات،9 فبراير 2014] – أنهت "جامعة حمدان بن محمّد الإلكترونية" كافة
الاستعدادات لاستضافة "المؤتمر السابع للجودة في الشرق الأوسط" المقرر
انعقاده برعاية كريمة من سموّ الشيخ حمدان بن محمّد بن راشد آل مكتوم، وليّ عهد
دبي والرئيس الأعلى للجامعة، في إطار "المؤتمر العام 2014" الذي سيقام في الفترة بين 3 و5 آذار/مارس المقبل في دبي بعنوان "قيادة مسيرة التميّز
المستدام". ويأتي تنظيم هذا المؤتمر تماشياً
مع رؤية القيادة الرشيدة من أجل تعزيز ممارسات التميز والجودة ونقل وتبادل الخبرات
لضمان التطور المستمر والارتقاء بالأداء العام.
وسيتخلل جدول أعمال "المؤتمر السابع للجودة في الشرق
الأوسط"، الذي يحمل شعار "نحو التميز المستدام: قيادة مسيرة
النجاح"، سلسلة من اجتماعات الطاولة المستديرة والنقاشات الحية حول السياسات
والاستراتيجيات للتحول نحو التميز المستدام. كما سيقام عدد من ورش العمل التفاعلية
التي تتناول الطاقة الإيجابية المستوحاة من الاسلوب القيادي لصاحب السمو الشيخ
محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي وغيرها من
المواضيع.
وسيشهد الحدث مناقشة مجموعة من الأوراق البحثية
والتحليلية والدراسات الحالية والعروض التقديمية، وذلك بمشاركة أبرز الأكاديميين
وصناع القرار الحكوميين والخبراء وممثلي المنظمات الدولية والهيئات الحكومية. وسيتم
النظر في أمكانية نشر الأوراق المقدّمة في كتاب وقائع المؤتمر فيما ستنشر أبرز
الأوراق البحثية في "المجلة الدوليّة للتميّز في إدارة القطاع العام" (ISSN:
1993-8640) و"المجلّة
الدوليّة للتميّز في الحلول الإلكترونيّة للإدارة" (ISSN:
1993-8667).
وسيقدم عدد من الباحثين المعنيين بقضايا التميز والاستدامة
أوراقهم البحثية التي تتناول إحدى
القضايا المؤثرة المرتبطة بـ "تحسين الجودة المستدامة" و"تحقيق
التميّز التشغيلي والإستراتيجي واستدامتهما" و"النجاح من خلال الموارد
البشرية: إستراتيجية مثبتة لتحقيق التميز في الأعمال" و"تحفيز الإبداع
والابتكار والجودة" و"الإدارة المرنة لتحقيق التميّز في الأعمال" و"إدارة
جودة الخدمات في عصر الخدمات والاقتصاد القائم على الخبرة: التحديات والفرص
الإدارية" و"إدارة التغيّر التحولي: التحديات والفرص".
وتعليقاً على المؤتمر، إعتبر الدكتور منصور العور، رئيس
الجامعة، أنّ التميز المستدام بات أحد أبرز المفاهيم الرائدة التي
تبرز بقوة في الوقت الراهن باعتباره ركيزة أساسية لمواجهة التحديات الحالية
والمستقبلية التي تعيق عجلة التنمية الشاملة. ويأتي المؤتمر إستكمالاً للجهود
الرامية الى تعزيز مماراسات التميّز والجودة بما يتماشى مع الرؤية الحكومية لترسيخ
هذه الثقافة أوساط المجتمع".
وأضاف: "يستهدف "المؤتمر السابع للجودة في
الشرق الأوسط" استقطاب مساهمات قيّمة من أبرز الباحثين والأكاديميين والخبراء
المحليين والإقليميين والدوليين لمناقشة أفضل الممارسات التي من شأنها ترسيخ ثقافة
الإبداع والابتكار والجودة وتعزيز الاستثمار البشري في سبيل تحقيق استدامة التميز
المؤسسي والتعليمي بما يخدم التطلعات الطموحة في بناء مستقبل أفضل للأجيال المقبلة.
ويعد "المؤتمر العام2014 " منصة استراتيجية لتشجيع الابتكار والتميز المؤسسي
والأكاديمي والبحث العلمي وملتقىً عالمي لإثراء مخزون المعرفة في منطقة الشرق
الأوسط. ويتمحور جدول أعمال الحدث حول ثلاثة مؤتمرات علمية
متزامنة تشتمل على "المؤتمر السادس للتميز في التعليم الإلكتروني في الشرق
الأوسط" تحت شعار "القيادة والتصميم والتكنولوجيا ملامح التعليم في
القرن الحادي والعشرين" و"المؤتمر الخامس للصحة الإلكترونية والبيئة في
الشرق الأوسط" تحت شعار "التحول نحو صحة أفضل وبيئة أكثر آمناً"،
إلى جانب "المؤتمر السابع للجودة في الشرق الأوسط" تحت شعار "نحو التميز المستدام: قيادة مسيرة النجاح".
