Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 13, 2013 -- Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, today announced that Joseph (Joe) L. Cowan has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Cowan, who brings extensive executive management experience in software and technology to Epicor, succeeds Pervez Qureshi, who is stepping down to pursue new opportunities. Qureshi will also be stepping down from his position as a director on the Epicor board of directors.

Most recently, Cowan served as President and CEO of Online Resources, a leading provider of online banking and full-service payment solutions, until its acquisition by ACI Worldwide in March 2013. Previously, he served as CEO of Interwoven, Inc., a global leader in content management software, until its acquisition by Autonomy Corporation plc in 2009. Cowan has significant technology and enterprise software experience having served in a variety of leadership roles at Manugistics, EXE Technologies and Invensys/Baan. Cowan received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University and an M.S. in Engineering from Arizona State University.

]دبي، الإمارات، 13 أكتوبر، 2013[، أعلنت "إبيكور سوفت وير كوربوريشن" (Epicor Software Corporation)، إحدى الشركات العالمية الرائدة في مجال توفير حلول برمجيات الأعمال لشركات التصنيع والتوزيع والبيع بالتجزئة والخدمات، عن تعيينها جوزيف أل. كوان رئيساً ومديراً تنفيذياً جديداً لها. ويخلف كوان، الذي سيضيف إلى شركة "إبيكور" خبرته الكبيرة في الإدارة التنفيذية في مجال البرمجيات والتكنولوجيا، برفيز قريشي، الذي تنحى عن منصبه سعياً وراء فرص جديدة. كما تنحى قريشي عن منصبه كمدير في مجلس إدارة شركة "إبيكور".

وشغل كوان في الفترة الأخيرة منصب الرئيس والمدير التنفيذي لشركة "أونلاين ريسورسيز" (Online Resources)، إحدى الشركات الرائدة في مجال توفير حلول الخدمات المصرفية والمدفوعات عبر الإنترنت، حتى الإستحواذ على الشركة من قبل "أيه. سي. آي. ورلد وايد" (ACI Worldwide) في شهر مارس/آذار الماضي. كما تقلد سابقاً منصب المدير التنفيذي في شركة "إنتروفين" (Interwoven)، وهي إحدى الشركات العالمية الرائدة في توفير برمجيات إدارة المحتوى، حتى الاستحواذ عليها من قبل شركة "أوتونومي كوربوريشن" (Autonomy Corporation) في العام 2009. ويتملك كوان خبرة كبيرة في مجال التكنولوجيا والبرمجيات المؤسسية، حيث عمل في مختلف المواقع القيادية في شركات "مانوغيستيكس" (Manugistics) و"إي. إكس. إي. تكنولوجيز" (EXE Technologies) و"إنفينسيس/بان" (Invensys/Baan). وحصل كوان على شهادة البكالوريوس في هندسة الإلكترونيات من جامعة أوبورن وشهادة الماجستير في الهندسة من جامعة ولاية أريزونا.
