- The new Oracle Cloud services were recently announced at the Oracle OpenWorld 2013 that ran from September 22 – 26 in San Francisco with more than 60,000 attendees expected from over 145 countries.
- The new services that provide customers the ability to access to the world’s leading database and Java application server in the cloud, with managed service options and full administrative control.
- Oracle powers the top 10 SaaS providers, thousands of SaaS applications, and many of the world’s private clouds. All of these rely on a robust cloud platform that provides applications with rich functionality with high performance, elasticity, availability and security.
- The new Oracle Cloud services include Oracle Database as a Service, Oracle Java as a Service, and Oracle Infrastructure as a Service, and augment Oracle’s comprehensive portfolio of Application, Social, Platform, and Infrastructure Services, all available on a subscription basis.
- Complementing the existing Oracle Cloud Platform Services, the new Oracle Database as a Service provides full control of a dedicated database instance, supports any Oracle Database application, and gives users greater flexibility and choice over their services.
- Complementing the existing Oracle Cloud Platform Services, the new Oracle Java as a Service provides full control of dedicated Oracle WebLogic Server clusters, supports any Java application, and gives users greater flexibility and choice over their services.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a Service provides general purpose compute and storage services to support any application and gives users greater flexibility and administrative control.
- Oracle’s new Cloud technology also extends to Oracle Cloud Marketplace, which will provide customers with access to a wide variety of partner applications to extend Oracle Cloud.
- The company services also include Oracle Mobile Cloud Services, which simplifies enterprise application development. It enables developers and IT to create and manage mobile friendly APIs making it very easy for mobile developers to integrate their applications with enterprise data and services.
- These service are among 10 new services added to Oracle Cloud, expanding Oracle’s comprehensive portfolio of Application, Social, Platform and Infrastructure Services - all available on a subscription basis. These include Compute Cloud, Business Intelligence Cloud, Documents Cloud and Database Backup Cloud.
As well as the ‘Oracle Partner Village’, which will see over 40 exhibitors involved in demonstrating their industry, business, and technology solutions and services built on the Oracle platform, the Oracle stand will host a number seminars that will provide insights on Oracle’s various technologies as well as market trends.
