Invited to share expertise about dental implant procedures without bone grafting at the Association of Dental Implantology,Scotland .

Dr. Costa Nicolopoulos, a leading oral & maxillofacial surgeon and an international speaker on dental implants, was recently invited to speak about the revolutionary techniques used at SameDay Dental Implants, a Dubai-based dental care clinic, to treat patients with dental implants in one day by the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), a registered dental implant organization based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Dr. Costa was the Podium Speaker on the topic - ‘Minimizing Grafts, Maximizing Treatment’ for the Roaming Scotland Study Club of the ADI, held on September 27, 2013 at the University of Stirling, Scotland. During the lecture, he discussed atraumatic surgical techniques used to treat implant patients with suboptimal bone volume, avoiding bone grafting procedures.
Dr. Costa said, “With the use of 3-D digital scans and the latest dental technology at our clinic - SameDay Dental Implants, the patients can have one or all the teeth extracted and replaced immediately with dental implants and fixed teeth all on the same day without bone grafts. It is a simple, fast and efficient procedure that is not only painless but also cost-effective.”
After lecturing to the prestige group of dental implantologists at Stirling University , the chairman of the meeting , Dr David Offord commented: “A great big thanks from all the guys there last night for a wonderful evening! It will go down as one of the most memorable lectures ever given at our study club, and everyone who heard it will have had their eyes opened and preconceptions challenged.”
Speaking about the efforts of the ADI, Dr. Costa added, “The Study Clubs and Masterclasses by ADI offer an ideal platform for dental professionals to get an insight into the latest techniques in implant dentistry and it was indeed an honour to be invited as a speaker there.”

لبّى الدكتور كوستا نيكولوبولوس، الإختصاصي في جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين والخبير في مجال زراعة الأسنان على المستوى العالمي، مؤخراً دعوة "الجمعية الإسكتلندية لزراعة الأسنان" (ADI) التي تتّخذ من مدينة أدنبرة في اسكتلندا مقراً لها، لإستعراض أحدث التقنيات والتجهيزات المتطورة التي تستخدمها عيادة "SameDay Dental Implants" القائمة في دبي لتوفير خدمات زراعة الأسنان في يوم واحد.
وتخلل الزيارة محاضرة تفصيلية برئاسة الدكتور نيكولوبولوس، تحت عنوان "تحسين العلاج دون التطعيم العظمي"، بمشاركة نخبة من الإختصاصين في زراعة الأسنان في نادي "رومينغ سكوتلاند ستادي كلوب" التابع للجمعية، ذلك يوم 27 سبتمبر/ايلول المنصرم في حرم جامعة ستيرلينغ في اسكتلندا. وتمحورت المحاضرة حول أهم التقنيات الجراحية المعتمدة لزراعة الأسنان وتقوية عظم الفك دون اللجوء إلى عمليات التطعيم العظمي.
وفي كلمته خلال المحاضرة، أوضح الدكتور نيكولوبولوس أن إستخدام الماسحات الضوئية الرقمية بتقنية الأبعاد الثلاثية وإعتماد أحدث التجهيزات المتخصّصة في طب الأسنان لدى عيادة "SameDay Dental Implants" يتيح للمرضى خلع الأسنان التالفة وإستبدالها الفوري بالزراعات السنية والأسنان المركبة في يوم واحد فقط، وذلك دون الحاجة إلى إجراء التطعيم العظمي، مؤكداً على أن هذه العملية تضمن أقل قدر من الألم وتعتبر من العمليات البسيطة والفعالة وغير المكلفة.
وأضاف: "عكفت النوادي الدراسية والدورات التخصصية في "الجمعية الإسكتلندية لزراعة الأسنان" على تقديم منصة مثالية للاختصاصيين في طب الأسنان للإطلاع على أحدث التقنيات المستخدمة في زراعة الأسنان. ولقد كان لشرف كبير لي أن أشارك في المحاضرة."
ومن جهته، أعرب رئيس الجلسة الدكتور ديفيد أوفورد، عن شكره الكبير لجميع الحاضرين في الجلسة، مضيفاً: "لا شك أن هذه المحاضرة تعد من أهم الفعاليات التي تم تنظيمها في النادي، واننا على يقين أنها أسهمت في القاء الضوء على التحديات التي يواجهها طب الأسنان."
ويُذكر أخيراً أن الدكتور كوستا نيكولوبولوس هو المؤسس المشارك لعيادة "SameDay Dental Implants" التي تتخّذ من مدينة دبي الطبية مقراً لها. وتتمتع العيادة بشهادة الزمالة من "مركز برينمارك للإندماج العظمي" لتكون بذلك العاشرة في العالم والأولى من نوعها في منطقة الشرق الأوسط التي تحصل على مثل هذا الإعتماد من قبل الأستاذ برينمارك، مؤسس علم زراعة الأسنان.
