Globe Express Services (GES), one of the world’s top 100 global logistics providers, has announced plans to expand its market presence in Turkey, starting with expansions to its air freight business. Globe Express has grown steadily in Turkey since establishing its offices in 2006 in Istanbul, a hub for European commerce.
The Turkey Office was originally intended to be just a handling entity for the offices of the GES Group. After its merger with the Overseas Group, the Turkey office adopted a new strategy of building up a self-sustained presence in the region. It began cooperating more closely with Gulf offices in key markets such as Dubai, the KSA, Kuwait and Beirut, with an eye towards later expansion to other parts of the world.
The ‘People + Network + Technology’ philosophy of Globe Express Services has taken off quite well in Turkey, a prime candidate for eventually evolving into a global logistics center given the rapid growth of logistics services here over the past few years. GES aims to match the scope and performance of its local operations with the huge market potential of the country. Turkey is a key market for GES since it serves as a commercial bridge between Europe and Asia. أعلنت "جلوب إكسبريس سيرفيسز" (GES)، واحدة من أهم 100 شركة عالمية في مجال توفير الخدمات اللوجستية، عن خططها لتوسيع حضورها في تركيا، بدءاً من عمليات توسيع أعمالها في مجال الشحن الجوي. وتنامى حضور الشركة باطراد في تركيا منذ أن قامت في العام 2006 بتأسيس مكتبها في اسطنبول، التي تعد مركزاً للتجارة الأوروبية.
وكان الهدف الرئيسي من وراء افتتاح الشركة لمكتبها في تركيا أن يكون بمثابة كيان لتعاملات مكاتب مجموعة "جلوب إكسبريس سيرفيسز". وبعد أن تم دمجه مع "أوفيرسيز جروب" (Overseas Group)، تبنى مكتب تركيا استراتيجية جديدة من أجل تأسيس وجود قائم على الإكتفاء الذاتي في المنطقة، حيث بدأ المكتب بالتعاون الوثيق مع مكاتب الشركة في الخليج وفي الأسواق الرئيسية مثل دبي والسعودية والكويت وكذلك بيروت مع التطلع نحو التوسع في وقت لاحق إلى أجزاء أخرى من العالم.
