Elaf signs agreement with Libyan Hajj office to accommodate Libyan pilgrims

Bin Mahfouz: “Elaf Group to provide hotel rooms for Libyan pilgrims”

Jeddah – August 22, 2013 – Elaf Group of Companies for Travel, Tourism and Hotels has announced the signing of a strategic agreement with the Libyan Hajj office - Libyan Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to accommodate Libyan pilgrims in Makkah Al Mukarama and Al Madina Al Munawara, as part of the Group’s strategy to address the growing demand for tourist and hotel services in the Kingdom.

Ziyad Bin Mahfouz, President of Elaf Group and member of the Makkah Tourism Development Council, explained that Elaf Hotels will be offering hotel rooms for Libyan pilgrims in the two holy cities, in addition to making ticket reservations. “The agreement reaffirms our strong relations with the Libyan Hajj office to achieve our objectives aimed at delivering the best Hajj and Umrah services under the highest international standards of quality,” Bin Mahfouz said.

“Elaf’s management believes that these ambitious plans reflect the high levels of excellence and innovation in the services we offer, which underline our ability to strategically expand in the local market and contribute to the growth of the local tourism industry by developing our resources and raising the bar on travel and tourism services,” Bin Mahfouz added.

For his part, Dr Khaled Al Wershefani, President of Libyan Hajj office , Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, said: “We are proud of the strong cooperation we have established with Elaf Group, a leader in Saudi Arabia’s tourism, travel and hotel industry. إيلاف توقع إتفاقية مع إدارة شؤون الحج والعمرة الليبية لإسكان حجاج ليبيا

جدة، 22 أغسطس 2013 - في إطار إستراتيجيتها الرامية إلى تلبية الطلب المتنامي على الخدمات السياحية والفندقية في المملكة العربية السعودية، أبرمت "مجموعة شركات إيلاف للسياحة والسفر والفنادق" مؤخراً إتفاقية إستراتيجية مع إدارة شؤون الحج والعمرة بوزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية الليبية لإسكان الحجاج القادمين من دولة ليبيا إلى مكة المكرّمة والمدينة المنورة.

وبموجب الإتفاقية الجديدة، أوضح زياد بن محفوظ، رئيس "مجموعة إيلاف" وعضو مجلس التنمية السياحية بمنطقة مكة المكرمة، أن المجموعة ستتولى توفير الغرف الفندقية للحجاج الليبيين في فنادقها في المدينتين المقدستين، بالإضافة إلى تأمين حجوزات تذاكر السفر لهم، لافتاً إلى أن الإتفاقية تؤكد على أواصر العلاقات القوية التي تجمع "إيلاف" مع إدارة شؤون الحج والعمرة الليبية في سبيل تحقيق الأهداف المرجوّة المتمثلة في تقديم أفضل خدمات الحج والعمرة لضيوف بيت الله الحرام وفق أعلى معايير الجودة المعتمدة عالمياً. 

وأكمل بن محفوظ: "ترى إدارة المجموعة في هذه الخطط الطموحة ثمرة نجاح تعكس مستويات التميّز والإبتكار في الخدمات التي نقدمها بما يؤكد قدرتنا على التوسع والإنتشار في السوق المحلية والمساهمة في دفع عجلة النمو السياحي في المملكة من خلال تطوير الموارد التي نحتضنها والإرتقاء بمستوى خدمات السياحة والسفر."

ومن جانبه، قال الدكتور خالد الورشفاني، رئيس إدارة شؤون الحج والعمرة بوزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية الليبية: "يسرنا توثيق علاقات التعاون مع مجموعة "إيلاف" الرائدة في قطاع السياحة والسفر والفنادق. وإنّنا نتطلّع من خلال هذه الإتفاقية إلى إستقطاب المزيد من الحجاج الليبيين للاستفادة من الخدمات رفيعة المستوى التي تنفرد المجموعة بتقديمها."
