In
collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry for Administrative Development
and E-Space, Google recently held a training workshop for dozens of
representatives from most Egyptian ministries. The aim of the training
was to introduce them to the various Google tools, applications and
solutions available at their disposal and ways to utilize them to
increase efficiency and productivity and improve the way they
communicate with citizens.
The
training - which featured representatives from the ministries of
Health, Communications, Petroleum, Justice, Interior, Social Insurance,
Higher Education, Agriculture, Industry & Trade, Local Development
and Administrative Development among others - introduced the audience to
a wide variety of Google solutions for utilizing technology and making
use of cloud computing, App engines and many other services that Google
offers.
The
first session of the training tackled Google Search and practical tips
for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of government websites, while the
second session featured a more technical demonstration on Google Fusion
tables, and their use to enable users to gather and analyze immense
amounts of data sets efficiently, which is particularly relevant to
governments when trying to make sense of the large amounts of data at
their disposal.
The
third session, given by Hatem Nawar, Technical Programs Manager in
MENA, elaborated on the services offered by Google in terms of App
engine and Cloud computing, both of which being of tremendous use for
the government to develop their own applications and make them readily
available on mobile devices in addition to utilizing the power of cloud
computing to foster collaboration and crowdsourcing. The final session
of the day tackled Google+ and the use of the Hangouts feature by
government entities to enhance communication with the public in addition
to utilizing this unique and easy-to-use technology in facilitating
intra-governmental communication, among different ministries.
The
purpose of the training is to introduce new technologies to governments
so that they may better serve the citizens of the country in new and
interactive ways in addition to improving the skills of government
officials by ensuring they remain up to date with the latest and
greatest in technology which Google has to offer.

ورشة عمل تدريبية للعشرات من ممثلي أغلب الوزارات المصرية.
يهدف هذا التدريب الأساسي إلى تعريف ممثلي الوزارات على مختلف
تطبيقات Google، والأدوات والحلول المتاحة لهم وسبل االإستفادة منها وذلك بغرض
زيادة الكفاءة والإنتاجية وتحسين طرق التواصل مع المواطنين.
شارك في هذا
التدريب ممثلون عن وزارات الصحة والاتصالات والبترول والعدل والداخلية والتأمينات
الاجتماعية، والتعليم العالي والزراعة والصناعة والتجارة، والتنمية المحلية
والتنمية الإدارية وغيرها - وحيث قدمت Google للجمهور طرق
عديدة يسهل من خلالها استخدام التكنولوجيا والاستفادة من الحوسبة السحابية و محرك
التطبيقات App
Engine، والعديد من الخدمات الأخرى التي توفرها Google.
تناولت الدورة
الأولى من التدريب البحث وتقديم النصائح العملية لتحسين محركات البحث للمواقع
الحكومية، في حين ركزت الدورة الثانية على الأمور الأكثر تقنية الخاصة بالجداول
الشاملة من Google، وكيفية استعمالها لتمكين المستخدمين من جمع
وتحليل بكفاءة وفعالية أكثر مختلف البيانات التي تمتلكها الحكومات بأعداد هائلة.
أما الدورة
الثالثة والتي قدمها مدير البرامج الفنية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط حاتم نوار، فقد
سلطت الأضواء على الخدمات التي توفرها Google بما يخص محرك التطبيقات App Engine والحوسبة السحابية، والتي تستخدمهما الحكومة بشكل كبير لتطوير
التطبيقات الخاصة بها وجعلها متوفرة على أجهزة الجوال. كما أن الحكومة تستفيد من
قوة الحوسبة السحابية لتعزيز التعاون والتفاعل بينها وبين المواطنين. وخصصت الجلسة الختامية
للورشة لمناقشة مشروع +Google وكيفية استخدام ميزة دردشة الفيديو الجماعية
Hangouts من قبل الجهات الحكومية لتعزيز التواصل مع
الجمهور، بالإضافة إلى الاستفادة من هذه التكنولوجيا الفريدة من نوعها وسهلة
الاستخدام في تسهيل الاتصالات داخل الحكومة، بين مختلف الوزارات.
والهدف
الأساسي من هذا التدريب هو تقديم تقنيات جديدة تساعد الحكومات على تطوير وسائل
جديدة تسمح لها بالتفاعل مع المواطنين، بالإضافة إلى تطوير مهارات مسؤولي الحكومة
من خلال ضمان اطلاعهم الدائم على أحدث ما قد تقدمه Google في مجال التكنولوجيا .
