[UAE, June 29, 2013] Dubai
World Central (DWC), the world’s first purpose-built aerotropolis,
hosted a special event for its employees to celebrate the ‘Best Fixed
Network Implementation Project of the Year’ award presented to DWC
during the Network Middle East (NME) Innovation Awards 2013 held
recently in Dubai.
The
event aimed to thank DWC’s internal teams and partners, including Dubai
Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) and Smartworld, who were
instrumental in implementing the state-of- the art- technology which won
the award. Dubai World Central, one of the few gigabit-capable
precincts in the world, provides Next Generation Network (NGN)
capabilities to ICT users in DWC. The NGN is the first of its kind ‘Open
Access’ network in the region, as one access can be used by multiple
services providers. The Gigabit-capable network infrastructure is based
on FTTP (Fiber to the Premises) design and is capable of delivering up
to 1 gigabit of bandwidth capacity to an individual office.

Hussain, Program Manager, DWC, said: “The telecommunications technology
adopted by DWC is the first of its kind in the region, enabling
different telecom operators to offer consistently high quality of
services to all tenants and customers. This service gives customers the
option of choosing telecom services, platforms and packages that best
match their business requirements.”
The
world’s first natural fiber network throughout DWC’s 140-square
kilometer footprint, allows any company operating within DWC to access a
range of telecom services they require from the service provider of
their preference. DWC laid the fiber infrastructure which included
hundreds of kilometers of fiber cable linking customers and plots with
multi 10-Gigabit core network in an MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching)
service provider model.

]الإمارات، 29 يونيو، 2013، احتفل "دبي ورلد سنترال"، المشروع المصمم خصيصا ليكون أول مدينة مطار متكاملة في العالم، مؤخراً بحصوله على جائزة "نتورك ميدل إيست" للعام 2013، عن أفضل مشروع منفذ للشبكات الثابتة. ويأتي الحفل تقديراً للجهود التي بذلها كل من فريق العمل في "دبي ورلد سنترال" وشركاؤه في "مؤسسة دبي لمشاريع الطيران الهندسية" وشركة "سمارت ورلد"، والتي ساهمت بشكل فاعل في تطبيق تقنية إتصالات سلكية ولاسلكية عالية الجودة.
وقال نجمل حسين، مدير برامج، "دبي ورلد سنترال": "تعد تقنية الاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية المطبقة في "دبي ورلد سنترال" الأولى من نوعها في المنطقة، إذ تسمح لمشغلي الاتصالات توفير خدماتهم للشركات العاملة بالمشروع بشكل متكافىء، كما يمكن للعملاء التعامل مع مشغلي الاتصالات والحصول على الخدمات والمنصات والحزم التي يفضلونها".
وتتيح شبكة الألياف الطبيعية الأولى من نوعها في العالم للشركات العاملة في "دبي ورلد سنترال"، اختيار الخدمة التي يفضلونها من مشغل الإتصالات الذي يفضلونه، خصوصاً أنها ممتدة على كافة انحاء مشروع "دبي ورلد سنترال" البالغة مساحته 140 كيلومتر مربع. كما وفّرت "سمارت ورلد"، بنية تحتية للألياف الضوئية على مئات من الكيلومترات، حيث تم ربط قطع أراضي الشركات ببعضهم البعض بشبكة أساسية عرضها 10 غيغابيت عبر استخدام "مقسم البروتوكولات المتعددة" (Multiprotocol Label Switching-MPLS).
من جهته، قال ناصر كاجور، نائب الرئيس للدعم المؤسسي، في "دبي ورلد سنترال": "نفخر بالخبرات والمهارات التي تتمتع بها فرق العمل المعنية بتطوير "دبي ورلد سنترال"، المصمم ليكون مركزاً رئيسياً للاقتصاد المستقبلي. وتتطلب الرؤية والأهداف الكبيرة التي نسعى إليها وجود خبراء أكفاء وملتزمين بتجسيد هذه الرؤية عبر توفير حلول تناسب عملاء وشركاء المشروع وتلبي تطلباتهم لتطوير أعمالهم على اختلافها".
ويشكل "دبي ورلد سنترال"، أحد المشاريع الطموحة والرائدة في العالم ويمتد على مساحة 140 كيلومتر مربع في منطقة جبل علي، ويضم ثمان مناطق أعمال متخصصة بما في ذلك منطقة للطيران ومنطقة لوجسيتة ومنطقة تجارية ومنطقة معارض وغيرها.
