Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce leads Brazilian exporters at Project Lebanon 2013 to explore new avenues for business growth

Looking to create new opportunities to expand the trade of construction materials between Brazil and Lebanon, the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) has announced that it is collaborating with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Trade’s Brazilian Foreign Office to participate in Project Lebanon 2013, the 18th edition of the international construction trade exhibition for Lebanon and the Middle East that begins today (Tuesday, June 4, 2013) and runs until June 7 in Beirut, Lebanon. ABCC is attending the exhibition for the third consecutive year and will be joined by six Brazilian companies that will showcase their products and services at ABCC’s 105-square meter exhibition stand.
Brazilian construction exports to Lebanon consist of nails, tacks, drawing pins and similar articles, as well as glazed ceramic flags and paving, hearth tiles. Other Brazilian construction materials exported to Lebanon include unglazed ceramic flags and paving, hearth tiles, other works of plastics, and appliances for pipes, boiler shells, tanks and vats.
To generate optimum business prospects, ABCC is utilizing its local partnership with the Beirut and Mount-Lebanon Chamber to organize matchmaking activities between the participating Brazilian companies and the local chamber members at Project Lebanon. Moreover, in partnership with the Brazilian Embassy in Beirut, ABCC will visit a construction site, a finished building and a home center for construction products as part of initiatives undertaken to enable Brazilian businessmen to better understand the Lebanese construction sector.

During the past two editions of Project Lebanon, which the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce has participated in, we have observed a growing interest in Brazilian products and services among local developers and contractors in Lebanon. This strongly demonstrates the huge potential to further grow Brazil’s construction exports, particularly in light of the ongoing construction boom sweeping Lebanon. In this regard, the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will leverage its influence and strategic alliances to help open more opportunities for Brazilian suppliers to expand their activities in the local construction market.”
The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce has been established to consolidate and expand partnerships, generate opportunities and bring Arabs and Brazilians together. It has been in operation for more than 50 years, playing an active role in boosting economic, cultural and tourism activities, and facilitating the flow of information between Arabs and Brazilians.

"الغرفة التجارية العربية البرازيلية" تشارك في "بروجكت لبنان 2013" إلى جانب 6 شركات برازيلية

إنطلاقاً من حرصها القوي على الإستفادة من الفرص المتاحة لدعم تجارة مواد البناء بين دولتي البرازيل ولبنان، وبالتعاون مع المكتب الخارجي التابع لوزارة التجارة الخارجية البرازيلية، تشارك "الغرفة التجارية العربية البرازيلية"، وللمرة الثالثة على التوالي، في الدورة الثامنة عشرة من "بروجكت لبنان 2013"، المعرض التجاري الدولي لمواد البناء والتشييد في لبنان ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط والذي انطلقت فعالياته اليوم )الثلاثاء 4 حزيران/يونيو 2013) في العاصمة بيروت. ويشارك في المعرض، المستمر لغاية 7 حزيران/يونيو الجاري، 6 من أبرز الشركات البرازيلية لإستعراض مجموعة من منتجات وخدمات البناء عبر منصة عرض الغرفة الممتدة على مساحة 105 متر مربع.
وتشتمل قائمة أبرز الصادرات البرازيلية من مواد البناء إلى لبنان على المسامير والمسامير الصغيرة ودبابيس الرسم وغيرها من الأدوات ذات الصلة، بالإضافة إلى حجارة السيراميك المصقولة وحجارة الرصف وحجارة المواقد. كما وتضم القائمة حجارة السيراميك غير المصقولة واللدائن ومصنوعاتها والأنابيب والغلايات البخارية والخزانات والأحواض.
وفي إطار الشراكة القائمة بين "الغرفة التجارية" و"غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان"، سيتخلّل المعرض نشاطات تواصلية وتعريفية ستتيح للشركات البرازيلية وأعضاء الغرفة المحلية فرصة للإستفادة المثلى من الآفاق الواعدة ضمن سوق العمل. كما تعتزم "الغرفة التجارية"، بالشراكة مع السفارة البرازيلية في بيروت، زيارة إحدى مواقع البناء والمباني المكتملة بالإضافة إلى مركز عرض لمواد البناء، وذلك بهدف إطلاع التجار البرازيليين على السوق اللبنانية وتعزيز فهمهم لقطاع البناء المحلي.
وقال الدكتور ميشيل حلبي، الأمين العام والرئيس التنفيذي لـ "الغرفة التجارية العربية البرازيلية": "لطالما شكّل لبنان سوق نمو هامة للغاية للصادرات البرازيلية من مواد البناء والإنشاء. وخلال مشاركتنا في الدورتين الماضيتين من "بروجكت لبنان"، لاحظنا اهتماماً متنامياً وملحوظاً بالخدمات والمنتجات البرازيلية بين أوساط المطوّرين العقاريين والمقاولين المحليين. ومما لا شك فيه بأنّ المعطيات الراهنة تؤكد الإمكانات الهائلة المتاحة لدفع معدلات نمو الصادرات البرازيلية من مواد البناء والإنشاء، لا سيّما في ظل الإزدهار المطّرد الذي يشهده قطاع الإنشاءات في لبنان. ومن هنا، نتطلع في "الغرفة التجارية العربية البرازيلية" إلى الإستفادة من شبكتنا الواسعة من الشراكات الإستراتيجية المتينة للمساعدة في خلق فرص جديدة وآفاق واعدة أمام المورّدين البرازيليين لتوسيع نطاق أعمالهم ضمن سوق الإنشاء في لبنان.
وتأسست "الغرفة التجارية العربية البرازيلية" بهدف توسيع نطاق الشراكات الإستراتيجية وخلق فرص واعدة لتطوير العلاقات الثنائية وتعزيز التبادل التجاري والإقتصادي والسياحي بين البرازيل والعالم العربي، فضلاً عن تحقيق التقارب الحضاري بين الشعبين. وتلعب الغرفة، التي تأسست قبل ما يزيد على 50 عاماً، دوراً رئيسياً وحيوياً في تشجيع التواصل الثقافي والنشاط الاقتصادي والسياحي بين العرب والبرازيليين وذلك عن طريق تسهيل تدفّق المعلومات والمعارف بين الطرفين.
