Dubai World Central (DWC), the world’s first purpose-built aerotropolis, has today announced new developments at DWC’s Logistics District, including the start of construction on the fourth complex of agent warehouses. Covering a total area of almost 8,700 square meters, with 5,443 sqm for warehouses and 1,373 sqm for office area, the new agent warehouses will be open for leasing in the first quarter of 2014. The development will include amenities catering to new and existing customers from different industries that want to expand their business activities in DWC.
DWC further announced that it is now developing a new logistics park within the Logistics District, comprising of warehouses, offices and amenities. The logistics park will be completed in the first quarter of 2015, offering a total built-up area of 34,000 square meters while facilities will have a minimum area of 1,000 sqm.
To improve the efficiency of the free zone operations, DWC also announced that it will be developing a fully dedicated customer inspection yard at gate 4, in conjunction with Dubai Customs. The new facility, which will include truck scanning machines, will enhance operations in the current customs inspection facility and is designed for both normal and temperature-controlled cargo.

"دبي ورلد سنترال" يكشف عن مشروعات جديدة في المنطقة اللوجستية

أعلن "دبي ورلد سنترال" (DWC)، المشروع المصمم خصيصاً ليكون أول مدينة مطار متكاملة في العالم، اليوم عن أنّه بصدد تطوير عدد من المشاريع الجديدة في المنطقة اللوجستية تضم مبنى رابعاً لمستودعات العملاء ومجمع مستودعات ومكاتب مشتركة ومركزاً متطورا للتفتيش الجمركي.
ويأتي تطوير المبنى الرابع لمستودعات العملاء تلبية للطلب الكبير على المستودعات سواء من العملاء الحاليين الراغبين بتوسيع أنشطتهم التجارية أو من عملاء جدد، وبعد الاشغال الكامل للمباني الثلاثة في المنطقة اللوجسيتة. ويمتد المبنى الرابع على مساحة إجمالية مقدرة بنحو 8,700 متر مربع، من بينها 5,443 متر مربع مخصصة للمستودعات و1,373 متر مربع مخصصة للمساحات المكتبية. ومن المقرر أن يكتمل العمل في المبنى الجديد منتصف العام 2014.
من جهة أخرى، سيتم تطوير مجمع لوجستي في المنطقة اللوجستية يضم مستودعات ومكاتب ومرافق حديثة تمتد على مساحة 34,000 متر مربع، ويوفر مرافق بمساحات كبيرة يمكن توسيعها حسب احتياجات الشركات على ان يكون لكل مرافق مساحة لا تقل عن 1000 متر مربع. وسينتهي العمل في هذا المشروع خلال الربع الأول من العام 2015.
ولتحسين كفاءة عمليات المنطقة الحرة، كشف "دبي ورلد سنترال" عن شروعه في تطوير ساحة تفتيش مخصصة للعملاء عند البوابة الرابعة، وذلك بالتعاون مع "جمارك دبي". وصمم المرفق الجديد للتعامل مع مختلف أنواع الشحنات التي تحتاج الى درجات حرارة متفاوتة، كما تم تزويدها بأجهزة مسح ضوئي للشاحنات والعربات، حيث ستشكل رادفاً مهماً لمركز التفتيش الجمركي الحالي.
وقال راشد بوقراعه، الرئيس التشغيلي لـ "مؤسسة مدينة دبي للطيران": "يبحث "دبي ورلد سنترال" على الدوام عن مبادرات جديدة ومبتكرة تدعم خطط نمو وتوسع الشركات التي تتخذ من المشروع مقراً لها. وتشكل هذه المشاريع الجديدة في المنطقة اللوجستية عنصراً فاعلاً في استراتيجيتنا التوسعية على المدى الطويل في الوقت الذي يستعد فيه الكثير من المستثمرين والشركات المتعددة الجنسيات الى نقل عملياتها التشغيلية الى المنطقة اللوجستية. ومن خلال توفير منصة متكاملة لتلبية متطلبات الشركات من مختلف الصناعات، لا يزال "دبي ورلد سنترال" وجهة مثالية للمستثمرين ورجال الأعمال والشركات التي تتطلع للاستفادة من الفرص الناشئة في السوق العالمية ".
يذكر أنّ مشروع "دبي ورلد سنترال" يتألف من 8 مناطق متكاملة تساهم في دفع عجلة نمو الشركات المنتمية إلى شريحة واسعة من القطاعات، بما في ذلك الطيران والخدمات اللوجستية والعقارات والمعارض والقطاع التجاري.
