Assiut, Egypt - 9th of April 2013: Assiut Cement Company and the University of Assiut celebrated the annual science day on the 8th of April. The celebration also witnessed the graduation of the class of 2013 which is the 52nd in the history of the University of Assiut. The company has been sponsoring this ceremony and celebrating the science day for 5 consecutive years since 2009. This years’ event is special as retiring professors will be honored for all their efforts in educating the successful generations.
This year’s prestigious ceremony witnessed about 364 graduates and was attended by representatives from the (Ministry of higher Education), representatives from Assiut Cement Company well as leading social and public figures, academics, parents and members of the media.
The ceremony started with the Egyptian National Anthem followed by graduation addresses from Prof.Dr. Mostafa Kamal, President of University of Assiut, Prof. Dr. Adel Rayan, Vice President Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hassan El Hawary, Dean of Faculty of Science and Prof. Magdy Mahmoud, Vice-Dean for Education and Students Affairs. Speaking on behalf of the Students, was graduating student Esraa Ramadan who on her part thanked the University of Assiut’s staff and faculty for playing an instrumental role in preparing the students for their future endeavours.
“We need to improve our education system and foster an environment conducive to fostering lateral thinking and intellectual respect” said Prof. Dr. Mostafa Kamal, President of University of Assiut while delivering the Science Day and faculty of science graduation address.

للعام الخامس على التوالى أسمنت أسيوط وجامعة أسيوط يحتفلان بيوم العلوم
أسيوط, مصر - 9 أبريل 2013: تحت رعاية الاستاذ الدكتور/ مصطفى كمال رئيس جامعة أسيوط, أقيم اليوم فى قاعة النيل بجامعة أسيوط احتفال يوم العلوم و تخريج الدفعة الثانية و الخامسون من كلية العلوم بمشاركة شركة أسمنت أسيوط. و تأتى مشاركة أسمنت أسيوط تجسيدا للتعاون المثمر بين الشركة وجامعة اسيوط و قد قامت الشركة برعاية حفل تخرج الدفعة رقم 52 من كلية العلوم بجامعة اسيوط وذلك للعام الخامس على التوالي .وقامت الشركة أيضًا بتكريم أساتذة الكلية الذين سيتقاعدون خلال هذا العام وتقديم هدايا رمزية لشكرهم على مجهوداتهم في تعليم أجيال ناجحة.
و شهد حفل التخرج هذا العام تخرج 364 طالب و حضر الحفل مسئولين من وزارة التعليم العالى, جامعة أسيوط و ممثلى شركة أسمنت أسيوط و شخصيات عامة و ممثلى الاعلام.
و قد بدأ الحفل بكلمة افتتاحية من السيد الأستاذ الدكتور مصطفى كمال ثم الدكتور/عادل ريان نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الطلبة و الأستاذ الدكتور/ حسن الهوارى عميد كلية العلوم ثم الأستاذ الدكتور/ مجدى صلاح وكيل الكلية لشئون التعليم والطلاب. و ايضا القت كلمة الطالبة/ اسراء رمضان الحاصلة على اعلى تقدير.
من الناحية الأخرى أعرب الدكتور مصطفى كمال رئيس جامعة اسيوط عن تقديره وشكره للدعم المستمر من شركة أسمنت أسيوط لجامعة اسيوط قائلا" إن رعاية الشركة لحفل تخرج كلية العلوم ، يجسد مدى اهتمام القطاع الخاص المتمثل فى أسمنت أسيوط وحرصها على بناء جيل جديد من الباحثين العلميين. الشركة ساهمت بشكل كبير في دعم هؤلاء الطلاب خلال أعوام الدراسة في الجامعة ونحن سعداء بالاحتفال بتخرج جيل جديد من علماء المستقبل."
