Navigate through Egypt’s traffic using community based traffic information App
Cairo, Egypt, April 22, 2013 – BlackBerry® smartphone users in Egypt can now stay one step ahead of the traffic with the launch of Bey2ollak in BlackBerry World™. Bey2ollak, which means ‘the word on the street’, allows users to share traffic information and images to keep fellow users up to speed with traffic situations in real-time.
With a growing community of over 475,000, Bey2ollak allows users to set up profiles, share images, update status’s, warn and tip each other, and chat to fellow members in real-time. The app also features an automatic update on personal route preferences prior and during user journeys.
“Egypt loses on average $8m (3% GDP) per year due to congestion, and with the average commuter in Cairo spending on average 3-4 hours in traffic each day, every minute counts. Bey2ollak is a community based traffic information service that is designed to help people in Egypt beat the traffic together,” said Gamal Sadek, Co-founder of Bey2ollak.
He continued, “Traffic in Egypt is bad at the best of times and we know that BlackBerry users are constantly on the go; through the active cooperation of our members, we are helping them to save precious time.”
Users can select main roads, each of which the traffic density is reflected through a gradient colour system. Green represents no traffic, yellow represents a flowing road, and red represents heavy traffic. Three additional features allow users to ask fellow users a question, log accidents, and indicate road blocks. The app also encourages users to contribute traffic information with a badge reward system.
Bey2ollak is now available for BlackBerry® 7, BlackBerry®10, and BlackBerry® PlayBook devices to download for free from BlackBerry World™.
BlackBerry 10 customers have access to over 100,000 free and paid apps in English and Arabic. Customers using BlackBerry® OS 7 and older smartphones have access to over 100,000 apps including more than 2,000 new Arabic apps.

القاهرة، مصر-22 أبريل 2013: يمكن الآن لمستخدمي هواتف BlackBerry® الذكية تجنب الوقوع في زحمة السير الخانقة مع التطبيق الجديد Bey2ollak " بيقولك!" المتوفر على BlackBerry World™ مجاناً!. يسمح هذا التطبيق للمستخدمين من مشاركة المعلومات والصور المتعلقة بحركة المرور في مصر ليبقى المستخدمين على اطلاع بأحدث التغيرات المرورية في المنطقة.
يتيح تطبيق " بيقولك !" لأكثر من 475 ألف شخص إمكانية إعداد الحسابات الشخصية عليه ومشاركة الصور و تلقى تحديث لحظي للحالة المرورية، كما يمكن للمستخدمين أن يخطروا بعضهم عن الاتجاهات المغلقة وتوجيه النصائح أثناء إجراء المحادثات من داخل الحدث حيث يتميز التطبيق بتحديث تلقائي لانتقاء أفضل الطرق المناسبة للمستخدم قبل وبعد رحلته.
وقال جمال صادق، الشريك المؤسس لتطبيق " بيقولك ": "تبلغ خسائر مصر بمعدل 8 مليون دولار (3% من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي) في السنة نظراً للإزدحام الشديد في بعض مناطق الجمهورية، خصوصاً أن الوقت الذي يقضيه السائقين والركاب لتخطي الإزدحام يقدر من 3 إلى 4 ساعات يومياً. وقد تم تصميم تطبيق معلومات حركة السير المحلية " بيقولك !" لمساعدة سكان مصر على تجنب ازدحام السير المروري من خلال التعاون".
وأضاف: "تشهد مصر حركة مرورية سيئة حتى في أفضل الأوقات، ونعلم جيداً أن مستخدمي أجهزة BlackBerry على حركة دائمة، لذا من خلال تعاون الأعضاء نكون قد وفرنا أوقاتاً ثمينة".
وبحسب التطبيق يمكن للمستخدمين تحديد الطرق الرئيسية على حسب الكثافة المرورية لكل منطقة وتظهر على شكل ألوان، بحيث يمثل اللون الأخضر حركة سير طبيعية واللون الأصفر كثافة في الشارع والأحمر اختناق مروري. بالإضافة إلى ثلاث ميزات تتيح للمستخدم طرح الأسئلة وتسجيل الحوادث وتحديد الطرق المغلقة. كما أن التطبيق يشجع المستخدمين على المساهمة في توفير معلومات عن الحركة المرورية من خلال تقديم المكافئات.
