CEO and Managing Director Hussein Al Meeza featured as keynote speaker at event’s opening plenary

Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (AMAN Insurance), the largest Islamic Insurance provider in the UAE, has been named as a Silver Partner for this year’s edition of the World Takaful Conference, the world’s largest annual gathering of Takaful industry leaders, which opens today (April 15, 2013) and will run until April 16, 2013 at the Dusit Thani Dubai. Now on its eighth year, the conference is expected to attract the participation of over 400 industry leaders from all over the globe. AMAN CEO and Managing Director Hussein Al Meeza was one of the keynote speakers during the event's opening plenary. The theme for this year's conference is 'New strategic imperatives for the Takaful industry: Sustaining growth and boosting profitability.'
Recent industry reports have indicated the untapped growth potential of the Islamic insurance segment, which is now being reflected in the growing interest of leading conventional insurance companies and major banks as well. Looking to play an important role in the projected growth, the World Takaful Conference serves as a strategic platform to showcase cutting edge innovations and discuss the roadmap to development for the rapidly growing Takaful market.

This year’s edition will also include a World Takaful Exhibition, which will open during the second day of the event. The exciting two-day conference also featured eight sessions that covered timely and important topics like the move to manage the industry’s shift to profitability; enabling operators to improve operational efficiency and mainstreaming Takaful in today’s key markets, to name a few. Aside from Meeza, the event also featured other industry experts.

شاركت شركة دبي الإسلامية للتأمين وإعادة التأمين "أمان"، أكبر مزوّد لخدمات التأمين الإسلامي في دولة الإمارات، بصفتها شريك فضي في فعاليات المؤتمر العالمي السنوي الثامن للتكافل، وهو الحدث الأكبر من نوعه في العالم في مجال التأمين الإسلامي والذي بدأ اعماله يوم أمس 15 أبريل ويستمر لغاية اليوم 16 الجاري في فندق "دوسيت ثاني" بدبي. واستقطب الحدث في دورته الثامنة ما يزيد عن 400 من كبار اللاعبين في القطاع من مختلف أنحاء العالم. وكان السيد حسين محمد الميزه، الرئيس التنفيذي والعضو المنتدب لـ "أمان"، ضمن أبرز المتحدثين في الجلسة الإفتتاحية للحدث.
وجاء تنظيم دورة هذا العام من المؤتمر تحت شعار "القواعد الإستراتيجية الجديدة لصناعة التأمين التكافلي: الحفاظ على النمو وزيادة الربحية"، تعقيباً على التقارير الأخيرة بشأن امكانات النمو غير المستغلة في قطاع التأمين الإسلامي، والتي تنعكس بصورة جلية في توجّه شركات التأمين التقليدية والمصارف الكبرى نحو هذا المجال. ومن أجل المساهمة في تحقيق هذا النمو المرجو، قدّم المؤتمر منصةً إستراتيجيةً لإستعراض أحدث الإبتكارات المتقدّمة ورسم خارطة الطريق لتطوير سوق التكافل المتنامي بسرعة في الدولة.
وفي معرض تعليقه على الأمر، نوّه الميزه بالإهتمام العالمي المتزايد بالإمكانات الهائلة والفوائد العديدة لإستخدام منتجات التأمين التكافلي المتوافقة مع الشريعة الإسلامية. وإستطرد قائلاً: "إن مشاركتنا كشريك فضي في فعاليات المؤتمر العالمي السنوي للتكافل يؤكد حرصنا على المساهمة في دفع عجلة نمو قطاع التأمين التكافلي. إنه لشرف لي ومدعاة للفخر أن أكون من بين المتحدثين الرئيسيين في الجلسة الإفتتاحية لتسليط الضوء على المنتجات والخدمات المتنوعة التي أطلقتها "أمان" خلال الأشهر القليلة الماضية، وكذلك للوقوف على المبادرات والبرامج الرامية إلى الإرتقاء بنمو هذه الصناعة على الصعيدين الإقليمي والعالمي على حد سواء."
ويتخلّل الحدث تنظيم معرض التكافل العالمي على هامش اليوم الثاني من المؤتمر، بالإضافة إلى ثمانية جلسات متخصّصة حول جملة من المواضيع الرئيسية، أهمها التوجهات لإدارة التحوّل نحو الربحية في القطاع وتمكين الشركات من تحسين كفاءتها التشغيلية ونشر ثقافة التكافل في الأسواق الرئيسية. وإلى جانب حسين الميزه، يستضيف المؤتمر نخبة من كبار الخبراء في القطاع.
