The Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Centre (ADSIC), the government entity in charge of Abu Dhabi’s IT development agenda, expressed plans to intensify efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology to modernize government services and accelerate local growth during Microsoft Open Door UAE held recently at the capital.
Speaking before an audience of over 400 attendees comprising IT professionals, business entities, decision makers and Microsoft partners, Abdulkarim Al Raeesi, ADSIC’s Director of Strategy and Planning, discussed the emergence of technology as an integral part of numerous human activities and pursuits. He emphasized the importance of forging partnerships with major IT organizations to further develop and strengthen inter-governmental systems and infrastructure in Abu Dhabi and the entire UAE for the benefit of various segments of society.
ADSIC and Microsoft worked closely to maximize knowledge-sharing opportunities and align activities with the UAE’s Vision 2021 development efforts. The Centre highlighted the critical role of best-of-breed products and services such as those offered by Microsoft in achieving Abu Dhabi’s goal of becoming one of the world’s top governments.. It also gained valuable insights on how to accelerate Abu Dhabi’s transition towards a digital society, particularly by enhancing ADSIC’s operational and support capabilities.“We thank Microsoft for hosting this event in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and gathering prominent experts and technicians in the field of IT to keep them up to speed with global best practices while sharing their experiences. ADSIC has exerted maximum effort to achieve a quantum leap in the field of IT, one of the basic pillars for ensuring operational and service excellence in government. Through strategic partnerships with major organizations such as Microsoft, ADSIC will be best positioned to enable government agencies to provide advanced services to various segments of society, leading to an IT-mature emirate and taking us several steps forward towards technology-based growth in the context of Abu Dhabi’s overall development plans,”said Al Raeesi.
“ADSIC is very eager to apply the tools and techniques discussed during Microsoft’s Open Door UAE to enhance the responsiveness and capabilities of the Government of Abu Dhabi and the entire Emirates. We are especially excited to explore Microsoft’s cutting-edge solutions. The Centre will continue to build on its partnership with the private sector, namely Microsoft to achieve the UAE’s dream of evolving into a genuine knowledge-based society,” he added.
ADSIC partners with Microsoft and other international leaders in information and communications technology to fulfill its mandate of modernizing Abu Dhabi’s government services. Among the Centre’s key initiatives are the Abu Dhabi e-Government Portal abudhabi.ae, the jobs.abudhabi.ae online employment website, the Abu Dhabi Spatial Data Infrastructure program, and the Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre (800 555).

كشف مركز أبوظبي للأنظمة الإلكترونية والمعلومات، الجهة الحكومية المعنية بالإشراف على أجندة تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإتصالات في إمارة أبوظبي، عن خططه الرامية إلى تكثيف جهوده في مجال دمج التكنولوجيا المتطورة لتحديث الخدمات الحكومية وتسريع وتيرة النمو المحلي، وذلك خلال مشاركته في معرض "الباب المفتوح" لشركة "مايكروسوفت" والذي أقيم مؤخراً في العاصمة الإماراتية.
وناقش عبد الكريم الرئيسي، مدير إدارة الاستراتيجية والتخطيط في المركز، خلال حديثه أمام حضور تجاوز الـ 400 من متخصصي تكنولوجيا المعلومات وممثلين من قطاع الأعمال، بالإضافة إلى صناع القرار وشركاء "مايكروسوفت"، ظهور التكنولوجيا باعتبارها جزءاً لا يتجزأ من الأنشطة والمهام الإنسانية العديدة. كما أكد الرئيسي على أهمية إقامة شراكات مع أهم المؤسسات العاملة في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات لمواصلة تطوير وتعزيز الأنظمة الحكومية والبنية التحتية في أبوظبي ودولة الإمارات ككل وبما يصب في صالح مختلف فئات المجتمع.
وتعاون مركز أبوظبي للأنظمة الإلكترونية والمعلومات وشركة "مايكروسوفت" بشكل وثيق من أجل توسيع فرص تبادل المعرفة ومواءمة الأنشطة بما يتماشى مع جهود خطة التطوير "رؤية 2021". كما سلط المركز الضوء على الدور الهام للمنتجات والخدمات الجديدة، كتلك التي تقدمها "مايكروسوفت"، في تحقيق هدف أبوظبي في أن تصبح واحدة من أفضل الحكومات في العالم. كما اطلع المركز على أفكار قيمة حول كيفية تسريع عملية تحول أبوظبي إلى مجتمع قائم على المعرفة، لا سيما من خلال تعزيز القدرات التشغيلية لمركز أبوظبي للأنظمة الإلكترونية والمعلومات وتوفير الدعم المناسب له.
وقال الرئيسي: "نشكر "مايكروسوفت" على استضافتها لهذا الحدث في إمارة أبوظبي وجمعها لأبرز الخبراء والمختصين في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات لإطلاعهم على أفضل الممارسات العالمية في هذا المجال وتبادل التجارب والخبرات معهم. وقمنا ببذل أقصى الجهود الممكنة من أجل تحقيق نقلة نوعية في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات، التي تعد أحد الركائز الأساسية لضمان التميز التشغيلي والخدماتي في حكومة أبوظبي. ومن خلال شراكاتنا الاستراتيجية مع أهم المؤسسات العاملة في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات مثل "مايكروسوفت"، فإننا في وضع جيد يؤهلنا تمكين الجهات الحكومية من تقديم الخدمات المتطورة لمختلف فئات المجتمع، مما يؤدي إلى نضج الإمارة في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والإنتقال بنا عدة خطوات إلى الأمام على طريق النمو القائم على التكنولوجيا في إطار خطط التنمية والتطوير الشاملة لإمارة أبوظبي".

ويتعاون مركز أبوظبي للأنظمة الإلكترونية والمعلومات مع "مايكروسوفت" وغيرها من الشركات العالمية الرائدة في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات من أجل إنجاز مهمته الرامية إلى تحديث الخدمات الحكومية في أبوظبي. ومن بين المبادرات الرئيسية للمركز، بوابة حكومة أبوظبي الإلكترونية (www.abudhabi.ae) وبوابة التوظيف الإلكتروني jobs.abudhabi.ae وبرنامج البيانات المكانية لإمارة أبوظبي، بالإضافة إلى مركز اتصال حكومة أبوظبي (555 800).
