Former Microsoft employee and Cofounder & MD of Business Productivity LLC talks about making high-impact presentations and effective email management

Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) has recently concluded its Network Majlis session under the theme “Work Smarter Using Technology” with Ulrika Hedlund, Cofounder and Managing Director of Business Productivity LLC, who spoke in-depth about the optimum use of technology to boost workplace productivity. A former Microsoft employee, Ulrika enlightened the audience about effectively using Microsoft PowerPoint to create visually attractive and attention-grabbing presentations, and about making the most of Microsoft Outlook to process and manage emails more effectively.
Ulrika set up Business Productivity LLC to reach out to business professionals around the world to help them increase their productivity using Microsoft technology. Prior to setting up the company, Ulrika was Customer and Partner Experience Lead and Enterprise Marketing Manager at Microsoft Gulf, whom she joined in 2007 as Solution Specialist. Her association with Microsoft started in 1997 when she joined Microsoft Sweden while pursuing her Master’s in Electrical Engineering. After graduating, she held various positions at Microsoft Sweden - all focused on helping Microsoft’s customers improve their business productivity. Ulrika has also completed the Executive MBA program from the London Business School.

إختتم "مجلس سيدات أعمال دبي" (DBWC) مؤخراً فعاليات لقائه الشهري تحت عنوان "العمل بشكل أكثر ذكاءً بإستخدام التكنولوجيا" بمشاركة أولريكا هدلوند، الشريك المؤسس ومدير شركة "بزنس برودكتيفيتي" (Business Productivity LLC)، التي ناقشت أهمية الإستخدام الأمثل للتكنولوجيا من أجل الإرتقاء بمستوى الإنتاجية في العمل. وبوصفها موظفة سابقة في شركة "مايكروسوفت"، شرحت هدلوند عن كيفية إستخدام برنامج "مايكروسوفت باوربوينت" (Microsoft PowerPoint) لإعداد العروض التقديمية اللافتة للنظر والإنتباه، وبرنامج "مايكروسوفت آوتلوك" (Microsoft Outlook) لمعالجة وإدارة الرسائل الإلكترونية بصورة أكثر فعالية.
ويشار إلى أن هدلوند عمدت من خلال إنشاء "بزنس برودكتيفيتي" إلى الوصول إلى رجال وسيدات الأعمال من مختلف أنحاء العالم لتشجيعهم على إستخدام تقنيات "مايكروسوفت" من أجل زيادة انتاجيتهم. وعملت هدلوند قبل التفرغ لأعمال الشركة في منصب مدير قسم إدارة تجربة العملاء والشركاء ومدير قسم التسويق في شركة "مايكروسوفت الخليج" التي انضمت إليها في العام 2007 كمتخصّصة في مجال الحلول. وبدأت هدلوند مسيرتها المهنية مع شركة "مايكروسوفت" في العام 1997 في السويد أثناء متابعتها لشهادة الماجستير في الهندسة الكهربائية، لتتولى لاحقاً عدداً من المناصب المرموقة في "مايكروسوفت السويد" والمعنية بتحسين إنتاجية العملاء. ويذكر أن هدلوند حاصلة على شهادة الماجستير في إدارة الأعمال التنفيذية من كلية لندن للأعمال.
وصرّحت أولريكا هدلوند: "غالباً ما نقلل من تقدير التكنولوجيا وتأثيرها القوي على حياتنا اليومية. وأود في هذه المناسبة أن أشكر "مجلس سيدات أعمال دبي" على اتاحة هذه الفرصة لتبادل الخبرات والمعرفة مع عضواته من السيدات الموهوبات اللواتي يرتقن بالمرأة إلى أعلى المستويات في الأسواق عالية التنافسية. وإنني اتطلع إلى دعم المبادرات المستقبلية للمجلس في خطوةٍ إلى تمكين العضوات بمزيد من المهارات والمعرفة للإستفادة المثلى من امكاناتهن."
ومن جهتها، قالت رجاء القرق، رئيسة "مجلس سيدات أعمال دبي": "كان اللقاء الأخير مع أولريكا هدلوند زاخر بالمعلومات المفيدة بالنسبة للعضوات اللواتي استفدن حق إستفادة من خبرتها الواسعة مع "مايكروسوفت" وتجربتها في "بزنس برودكتيفيتي". كما شرحت أولريكا خلال المحاضرة عن الأساليب البسيطة والعملية لتحسين الإنتاجية في العمل من خلال إستخدام الحلول التكنولوجية، موضحةً كيفية زيادة الكفاءة في أداء مهام العمل اليومية بمجرد إعتماد برمجيات "مايكروسوفت" التي تعتبر الأداة الأنسب لسيدات الأعمال الراغبات بتحسين إدارة الوقت وتحقيق أقصى مستوى من الإنتاجية."
