New York, USA – 30 September, 2025: His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, joined the United Arab Emirates delegation led by His Highness Abdulla bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting held in New York. The important annual event brought together leaders of nations from around the world to discuss pressing global issues and to foster collaboration to create a more sustainable future.
During his participation, HE Al Zeyoudi met with government officials in a series of bilateral meetings, where he discussed opportunities to strengthen trade and investment ties to develop key economic sectors.
“The UAE’s presence at the UN General Assembly meeting emphasizes our national commitment to playing a pivotal role in fostering global economic growth and prosperity,” said HE Al Zeyoudi. “By forging strong partnerships and leveraging our collective strengths, we can drive growth and prosperity not just for our nation, but for the world. Our discussions here in New York centered around increasing trade and investment flows around the world, deepening our economic partnerships with like-minded nations in order to achieve our shared goals in economic development and sustainability.”
Alongside his participation in the UAE-US Business Council and a session at the US Chamber of Commerce, HE Al Zeyoudi engaged with senior executives from a diverse range of sectors, including financial services and private equity firms such as Mashreq Bank, UBS, and KKR, as well as advanced technology and real estate companies. He also met with influential figures from the Goldman Sachs Global Institute, Blackrock Infrastructure Investments, and the Eurasia Group, among others, highlighting the importance of high-level collaboration to enhance economic ties, drive growth and sustainable development.
HE Al Zeyoudi’s meetings with leading government officials and private sector executives reflect the UAE’s view that public-private partnerships are key to greater economic development and prosperity. His participation also reinforced the UAE's role as a key player on the world stage, focused on innovation, collaboration, and sustainable economic development.
The annual United Nations General Assembly meeting serves as a vital platform for countries to come together to address pressing global challenges. This year's gathering highlighted the importance of dialogue in navigating complex issues such as AI governance, climate change and global healthcare.

أبوظبي، 30 سبتمبر 2025: عقد معالي الدكتور ثاني بن أحمد الزيودي وزير التجارة الخارجية لدى زيارته إلى نيويورك -ضمن وفد الدولة المشارك في الدورة الثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة برئاسة سمو الشيخ عبدالله بن زايد آل نهيان نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية- سلسلة من الاجتماعات الثنائية مع مسؤولين من القطاعين الحكومي والخاص من العديد من دول العالم، بهدف تعزيز العلاقات التجارية والاستثمارية لدولة الإمارات مع هذه الدول.
وقال معالي الدكتور الزيودي: "إن حضور وفد إماراتي رفيع المستوى برئاسة سمو الشيخ عبدالله بن زايد آل نهيان نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية الاجتماعات السنوية للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة يؤكد التزام الدولة بمواصلة القيام بدور محوري في تعزيز النمو والازدهار الاقتصادي العالمي.
وأضاف معاليه: "من خلال بناء شراكات قوية والاستفادة من نقاط تكامل دول العالم، يمكننا دفع عجلة النمو والازدهار للعالم أجمع.
وتابع معالي الزيودي إن المناقشات والاجتماعات الجانبية التي شهدتها الدورة الـ80 للأمم المتحدة تعد خطوة جديدة نحو تحقيق الأهداف المشتركة في التنمية المستدامة.
وإلى جانب مشاركته في مجلس الأعمال الإماراتي الأمريكي وفي اجتماع موسع في غرفة التجارة الأمريكية، التقى معالي الزيودي مع كبار المسؤولين التنفيذيين من مجموعة متنوعة من القطاعات، بما في ذلك الخدمات المالية وشركات الاستثمار الخاص مثل بنك المشرق وUBS وKKR. كما التقى بشخصيات مؤثرة من معهد غولدمان ساكس العالمي، وشركة بلاك روك للاستثمارات في البنية التحتية، ومجموعة أوراسيا، وغيرها. وجرى خلال هذه اللقاءات بحث آليات التعاون البناء لتعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية ودفع عجلة النمو والتنمية المستدامة.
وتأتي لقاءات معالي الدكتور الزيودي مع كبار المسؤولين الحكوميين والرؤساء التنفيذيين للشركات ترجمةً لرؤية دولة الإمارات بأن الشراكة بين القطاعين الحكومي والخاص تعد منصة فعالة لتحفيز النمو الاقتصادي والازدهار. كما ترسخ هذه المشاركة دور دولة الإمارات عضواً فعالاً في المجتمع الدولي، ومساهماً رائداً في جهود الابتكار والتعاون والتنمية الاقتصادية المستدامة.
ويمثل الاجتماع السنوي للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة منصة حيوية للدول للالتقاء وبحث أفضل السبل لمواجهة التحديات العالمية الملحة. وقد سلّط اجتماع هذا العام الضوء على أهمية الحوار في التعامل مع قضايا معقدة مثل حوكمة الذكاء الاصطناعي، والتغير المناخي، والرعاية الصحية العالمية.
