Proven Executive and Former CFO of Ariba Joins Network Security Leader
Dubai, UAE – April 23, 2013 – Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT) - a leader in high-performance network security – recently announced the appointment of Mr. Ahmed Rubaie as the Company's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Rubaie is a highly accomplished executive with extensive financial, operational and global business management experience. He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ariba Inc., a leading cloud-based business to business commerce company that was acquired by SAP in October 2012. Mr. Rubaie joined Ariba in August 2008, and played a key role on the management team in building a high-growth and highly-profitable recurring global business. He was engaged in all areas of the business and helped contribute to significant growth and an increase in shareholder value, with Ariba’s equity market capitalization increasing from approximately $400 million to over $4 billion at the time of the company’s sale.

Prior to Ariba, Mr. Rubaie spent nearly eight years at Avery Dennison (NYSE: AVY), a manufacturer of pressure sensitive materials, where he held various senior finance positions, the last one being a global division CFO where he was involved in all aspects of the multi-billion dollar business. Mr. Rubaie also spent nearly six years in various global finance leadership roles at BHP Billiton (NYSE: BHP), a large natural resource company. Prior to his corporate experience, he spent six years in public accounting with both Coopers & Lybrand and Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Rubaie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management from Albion College and a J.D. degree from University of Detroit School of Law.

دبي، الإمارات – 23 أبريل، 2013 – أعلنت "فورتينت" (Fortinet)، الشركة العالمية الرائدة في مجال توفير الحلول عالية الأداء لأمن الشبكات والمدرجة في سوق أسهم ناسداك تحت الرمز (NASDAQ: FTNT)، مؤخراً عن تعيينها أحمد رُبيع في منصب مدير مالي ومدير تنفيذي للعمليات.
ويعد رُبيع مسؤولاً تنفيذياً بارعاً يمتلك خبرة واسعة في مجال إدارة الأعمال العالمية والمسائل المالية والتشغيلية. وكان قد شغل مؤخراً منصب نائب الرئيس التنفيذي والمدير المالي لشركة "أريبا" (Ariba)، وهي إحدى شركات التجارة على مستوى الأعمال القائمة على الخدمات السحابية والتي تم الاستحواذ عليها من قبل شركة "ساب" (SAP) في شهر أكتوبر/تشرين الأول من العام الماضي. وكان ربيع قد إنضم إلى شركة "أريبا" في شهر أغسطس/آب من العام 2008، حيث لعب دوراً رئيسياً مع فريق الإدارة لإقامة أعمال عالمية عالية النمو والربحية. كما شارك في مختلف مجالات أعمال الشركة وساهم في تحقيق نمو كبير وزيادة في قيمة حقوق المساهمين، مع زيادة القيمة السوقية لأسهم شركة "أريبا" من حوالي 400 مليون دولار أمريكي إلى أكثر من 4 مليارات دولار وقت بيع الشركة.

وقبل عمله في شركة "أريبا"، قضى رُبيع ما يقارب الثماني سنوات في شركة "أفري دينيسون" (Avery Dennison)، إحدى شركات تصنيع المواد الحساسة للضغط والمدرجة في بورصة نيويورك تحت الرمز (NYSE:AVY)، عمل خلالها في عدة مناصب رفيعة في القسم المالي كان آخرها المدير المالي لأحد الأقسام العالمية، حيث شارك في كافة جوانب الأعمال التي تصل قيمتها إلى عدة مليارات من الدولارات. كما قضى ربيع حوالي ست سنوات في مختلف المناصب القيادية المالية لدى شركة "بي. إتش. بي. بيليتون" (BHP Billiton)، وهي إحدى شركات الموارد الطبيعية والمدرجة في بورصة نيويورك تحت الرمز (NYSE: BHP). وقبل تجربته في مجال العمل المؤسسي، قضى رُبيع ست سنوات في مجال المحاسبة العامة مع كل من "كوبرز آند ليبراند" (Coopers & Lybrand) و"ديلويت آند توتش" (Deloitte & Touche). ويحمل ربيع درجة البكالوريوس في الاقتصاد والإدارة من كلية آلبيون، بالإضافة إلى درجة البكالوريوس في الحقوق من كلية القانون بجامعة ديترويت.
