Samsung Electronics Egypt launches two new Samsung SONO Schools in Al Mansoura University Hospital and Al Kasr El Einy Hospital

Cairo, Egypt: 09 Nov 2016 – As a part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, Samsung Electronics, a world leader in advanced and innovative electronics, inaugurated its latest SONO School in Al Mansoura University and is currently on the verge of launching another SONO School in Al Kasr El Einy Hospital, Cairo University. The opening of the new SONO school follow’s the successful launch of Samsung’s first and second SONO Schools for ultrasound diagnostics in Ain Shams University Hospital in 2014 and in Alexandria, in collaboration with the Alexandria Regional Center for Women Health and Development (ARC), back in 2015. By the end of the current year, Samsung Electronics Egypt will have launched four SONO schools across different hospitals in Egypt.

Samsung SONO Schools contribute to the development of the local healthcare sector, namely, women’s health and prenatal health. This year, Samsung equipped the SONO school in Al Mansoura University with 3 of the latest ultrasound machines (5D), in addition to equipping, the soon to be launched SONO school in Al Kasr El Einy Hospital with 3 more ultrasound machines. Ultrasounds provide pregnant women with important biological data about herself and her baby such as the size of the baby, the anticipated date of birth and overall pregnancy health. Moreover, The Samsung SONO Schools also benefit other medical fields and contribute to research development.

“We are proud to announce the opening of our third SONO School in Egypt and in the very near future; we will announce the opening of our fourth SONO school. Samsung Electronics Egypt is providing the latest ultra-sound machine units,  which enables accurate examinations and early diagnosis of potential problems, said Seung-Ho Yun, President of Samsung Electronics Egypt. This technology will also be used to improve medical practitioners’ learning and training experiences in ultrasound system procedures in order to further enhance their diagnostic skills.”

Samsung continues to support the Egyptian communities through collaborating with renowned entities such as Ain Shams University, the Alexandria Regional Center for Women Health and Development (ARC), Al Mansoura University and Al Kasr El Einy hospital. القاهرة في 9 نوفمبر 2016-  في إطار برامج ومبادرات المسؤولية الاجتماعية التي تنفذها سامسونج الكترونيكس مصر، الشركة العالمية الرائدة في مجال الإلكترونيات المتطورة، افتتحت الشركة ثالث مدرسة ضمن سلسلة مدراس SONO للموجات فوق الصوتية التشخيصية في مستشفى جامعة المنصورة، وهي الآن في سبيلها للانتهاء من المدرسة الرابعة التي من المقرر افتتاحها قريباً في القصر العيني بجامعة القاهرة. يأتي افتتاح مدرسة SONO الجديدة بعد النجاح الكبير الذي شهدته أول مدرستين، واللتين أطلقتهما الشركة في مستشفى جامعة عين شمس عام 2014، وفي الإسكندرية بالتعاون مع مركز الإسكندرية الإقليمي لصحة وتنمية المرأة عام 2015. ومع نهاية العام الحالي، سيكون عدد مدارس SONO للموجات فوق الصوتية التشخيصية التي أطلقتها سامسونج الكترونيكس 4 مدارس موزعة على عدد من المستشفيات العامة في مصر.    

تسهم مدارس SONO بشكل عام لتطوير الخدمات التي يقدمها القطاع الصحي في مصر، وخاصة في مجال صحة المرأة والسيدات الحوامل. وهذا العام، جهزت سامسونج مدرسة SONO في جامعة المنصورة بثلاثة وحدات للموجات فوق الصوتية التشخيصية من طراز 5D، بالإضافة لتزويد مدرسة SONO الرابعة، والتي سيعلن عن افتتاحها قريباً بالقصر العيني، بثلاثة وحدات أخرى من نفس الطراز. وتوفر أجهزة الموجات فوق الصوتية للأم الحامل بيانات بيولوجية هامة عنها وعن جنينها، مثل حجم الجنين والتاريخ المتوقع للولادة والحالة العامة للحمل. بالإضافة لذلك، تعود مدارس SONO من سامسونج الكترونيكس بالفائدة على بعض المجالات الطبية والتدريبية الأخرى، كما تعمل على تشجيع حركة البحوث الطبية والتطوير في المستشفيات المصرية.
