Nikken to showcase New Camp Nou design at Cityscape
Japanese architect to present renovation and expansion designs for FC Barcelona’s football stadium for the first time in the Middle East
- Other key projects from Mumbai to Moscow to be unveiled at Cityscape Global
Japanese architectural firm Nikken Sekkei, will be showcasing the design for the New Camp Nou, FC Barcelona’s iconic football stadium, which will be expanded and renovated at a cost of Euros 380 million, at this year’s Cityscape Global in Dubai.
The existing Camp Nou, is one of the largest stadiums in Europe. The proposal requirements include plans for complete refurbishment, a roof installation, and a capacity increase from 99,000 to 105,000 spectators. Construction work is due to start in 2017 and will be complete by 2021, during which time the stadium will remain operational.
“It is a great honor to have been trusted with the opportunity to participate in the design of the New Camp Nou stadium, building on the legacy of the existing one. I hope fans and real estate professionals alike visiting Cityscape will want to come to our stand and take a look at a football stadium that is not only aesthetic in design, but functional, smart and sustainable,” said Tadao Kamei, President & CEO, Nikken Sekkei.
This is the first time that renderings and 500/1 physical model will be on show in the Middle East and visitors will have the chance to speak to members of Nikken Sekkei’s Dubai-based design team, who played a supporting role in the bid, as well as members of the central bid team.
The bidding process began in June 2015, with a total of 26 teams initially presenting bids, and in September 2015, the Espai Barça jury and technical committee shortlisted eight teams for the definitive tender for the New Camp Nou.
Earlier this year, FC Barcelona announced that the Espai Barça jury had unanimously selected the design bid tendered by Nikken Sekkei + Pascual i Ausió Arquitectes, for the New Camp Nou. According to officials of the jury, the design stood out for being open, elegant, serene, timeless Mediterranean and democratic.
“We were told that our design was also noted for its relationship with the environment, providing depth, creating shadows and presenting a very subtle attempt to intervene in the environment to facilitate circulation and achieve diverse urban usage,” said Dr. Fadi Jabri, Regional Director & Executive Officer, Nikken Sekkei.
In short, the jury claimed that it was a unique solution, reproducing the characteristic vision of the grandstand and canopy, from the inside out, a silent and powerful tribute to the stadium designed by Francesc Mitjans, Josep Soteras and Lorenzo García Barbón in 1957.
In addition to the New Camp Nou showcase, Nikken Sekkei will also be presenting a number of diverse projects from Moscow to Mumbai.

The Botanicheski Sad project - meaning Botanic Garden situated in Moscow is located 10km from the Kremlin and is the first real residential Transit Orientated Development (TOD) as the Moscow City Government has stated planning and constructing transit hubs around railway stations and metro lines to encourage residents to use public transport.
Another TOD project, which aims to redevelop an area nearby to Savelovsky Terminal, one of the main large scale rail terminals in Moscow will also be unveiled at Cityscape Global. The mixed-use project will include residential apartments, retail, entertainment, offices, a hotel and schools.
In terms of Dubai-based projects, Nikken Sekkei’s growing portfolio includes the iconic, mixed-use development – One Za’abeel with its twin towers reaching more than 300 metres high situated adjacent to the Dubai World Trade Centre. This unique complex will include a residential tower with 450 apartments, a five-star hotel tower with 370 rooms and a commercial tower offering 500,000 square feet of office space.
Another key project is the Forte Towers, which comprises of twin towers, one of 70 storeys, the other 50 storeys, which is destined to become the second highest residential tower in Dubai after the Burj Khalifa. Each tower will have one, two and three-bedroom units, ranging from 650 to 1800 square feet in size and will be situated in the Downtown Opera District.
Other ongoing regional projects include a landmark tower for the Tadawul HQ (Saudi Stock Exchange) in Riyadh; HQ building for Masraf Al Rayan in Doha; a large residential development in Jeddah, and a waterfront project in Bahrain.
شركة "نيكين سيكاي" تستعرض التصميم الجديد لملعب نادي برشلونة خلال فعاليات معرض سيتي سكيب بدبي
- الشركة اليابانية المتخصصة في الهندسة المعمارية تسلط الضوء على عملية تجديد وتوسيع ملعب "كامب نو" لكرة القدم للمرة الأولى في منطقة الشرق الأوسط
أعلنت شركة "نيكين سيكاي" اليابانية المتخصصة في مجال الهندسة المعمارية أنها ستعرض التصميم الجديد لملعب نادي برشلونة "كامب نو" والذي ستتم توسعته وتجديده بتكلفة قدرها 380 مليون يورو، وذلك خلال مشاركتها في معرض سيتي سكيب الذي تستضيفه دبي خلال الفترة 6-8 سبتمبر 2016.
ويُعد ملعب "كامب نو" الحالي من أكبر الملاعب في قارة أوروبا. وتشمل متطلبات مشروع التجديد تنفيذ خطة توسيع شاملة وتثبيت سقف الملعب وزيادة القدرة الاستيعابية من 90 ألف إلى 105 آلاف متفرج. ومن المقرر أن تبدأ أعمال البناء في عام 2017 على أن يكون موعد استكمالها بحلول عام 2021، وسيبقى الملعب مفتوحاً للمباريات الرياضية خلال هذه الفترة.
وبهذا السياق قال تاداو كامي، الرئيس والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "نيكين سيكاي": "إننا سعداء للغاية بفوزنا بمشروع تصميم ملعب ’كامب نو‘ الجديد والذي يتمتع بشعبية هائلة وإرث عريق. ويمكن لجميع محبي كرة القدم والمتخصصين في مجال التصميم والعقارات زيارة جناحنا في معرض سيتي سكيب والاطلاع على التصميم الجديد ومميزاته الوظيفية ومواصفاته الذكية والمستدامة".
وتعد هذه المرة الأولى التي يتم فيها عرض نموذج مصغر للتصميم الجديد في منطقة الشرق الأوسط. ويمكن لزوار جناح "نيكين سيكاي" التحدث إلى أعضاء فريق التصميم في مكتب دبي الذين ساهموا بشكل رئيسي في الفوز بهذا المشروع الضخم.
وكانت عملية تقديم المشاريع المقترحة قد بدأت في يونيو 2015 بمشاركة 26 فريقاً من مختلف أنحاء العالم. وفي سبتمبر 2015 أعلنت اللجنة المسؤولة عن اختيار ثمانية مشاريع لتصميم الملعب الجديد للمرحلة النهائية. وأعلن نادي برشلونة في وقت سابق من هذا العام، أن لجنة التحكيم قد اختارت بالإجماع المشروع الذي قدمته "نيكين سيكاي" و"باسكوال أي اوسيو اركيتيكز".
ومن جانبه قال الدكتور فادي جبري، المدير الإقليمي لشركة "نيكين سيكاي": "حصلنا على ردود فعل إيجابية للغاية من لجنة التحكيم باعتبار أن التصميم الذي قدمناه يلبي المعايير البيئية المطلوبة ويتميز بأسلوبه التصميم الفريد والمبتكر والذي يوفر إضافة قيمة للمحيط الحضري".
كما أكدت لجنة التحكيم أن التصميم الجديد لملعب "كامب نو" يوفر حلاً فريداً ومناسباً عبر استنساخ التصميم المميز للمدرجات والمظلة العلوية من الداخل الى الخارج استناداً إلى الرؤية التصميمية التي عمل عليها فرانسيسك ميتجانس وجوسيب سوتيراس ولورنزو غارسيا بارسيا في عام 1957.
وبالإضافة إلى استعراض التصميم الجديد لملعب نادي برشلونة الجديد، ستسلط شركة "نيكين سيكاي" الضوء على العديد من المشاريع الأخرى في مختلف أنحاء العالم، ومنها مشروع "بوتانيشيسكي ساد" الذي يقع على بعد 10 كيلومتر من مقر الكرملين في العاصمة الروسية موسكو، والذي يجسد سعي الجهات الحكومية الرسمية لإنشاء مراكز عبور حول محطات السكك الحديدية وخطوط المترو لتشجيع المواطنين على استخدام وسائل النقل العام بشكل أكبر. وهذا بالإضافة إلى إعادة تطوير منطقة قريبة من محطة سافيلوفسكي التي تُعد واحدة من أهم محطات السكك الحديدية في موسكو، وسيتم كشف النقاب عنه ضمن فعاليات معرض سيتي سكيب. وسيشمل المشروع متعدد الاستخدامات مجموعة من الشقق السكنية ومنافذ التجزئة والترفيه والمكاتب والمدارس وفندق.
وتتضمن محفظة المشاريع المتنامية لشركة "نيكين سيكاي" في دبي أيضاً مشروع "ون زعبيل" الراقي متعدد الاستخدامات قرب مركز دبي التجاري العالمي والذي يتميز ببرجيه الذين يصل ارتفاعهما إلى 300 متر. حيث يضم المشروع برجاً سكنياً يشمل 450 شقة سكنية وفندقاً من فئة الخمس نجوم يحوي 370 غرفة، فيما يتيح البرج الثاني مساحة تبلغ أكثر من 500 ألف قدم مربع للمكاتب.
وهذا بالإضافة إلى مشروع "فورت تاورز" في منطقة الأوبرا وسط دبي والذي يتألف من برجين الأول بارتفاع 70 طابقاً والثاني بارتفاع 50 طابقاً، والمقرر أن يصبح ثاني أعلى برج سكني في دبي بعد برج خليفة. وسيضم كل برج خيارات متنوعة للشقق السكنية بغرفة أو غرفتين أو ثلاث غرف نوم تتراوح مساحتها بين 650-1800 قدم مربع.
وتشمل قائمة المشاريع الحالية في المنطقة برج "تداول" التابع لشركة السوق المالية السعودية، ومبنى المقر الرئيسي لمصرف الريان في الدوحة، بالإضافة إلى مشروع سكني كبير في مدينة جدة، ومشروع الواجهة البحرية في البحرين.

Top CEOs to Highlight Local Economic Strengths at Sharjah FDI Forum 2016
Global event will host an array of business leaders to discuss opportunities across sectors

Taking place on September 28-29, 2016 at the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa, Sharjah FDI 2016 will see leaders from a cross-section of local and international business organisations discuss an array of economic issues that are of importance to the UAE in general and the emirate of Sharjah in particular.
As announced by Shurooq, the list of speakers representing regionally-based concerns at the forum will include their Excellencies Abdullah Bin Ahmad Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy for Foreign Trade and Industry Affairs, Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of Shurooq; Khalid Al Huraimel, Bee’ah Group Chief Executive Officer; Khalid Al Huraimel, Bee’ah Group Chief Executive Officer; Hussain Mohammed Al Mahmoudi, Chief Executive Officer, American University of Sharjah Enterprise, Salim Rashid Al Nuaimi, CEO and Managing Director of Waha Capital and Flemming Dalgaard, CEO of Gulftainer.

The organisers of Sharjah FDI Forum 2016 say that the plethora of leading regional and international business leaders taking part has put the event on the map as one of the most important global investment forums.

Sharjah FDI Forum 2016 is being held under the patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The event has been established to offer an unparalleled opportunity to examine investment prospects in the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular. The forum will bring together a selection of business leaders, policy makers, officials, economic experts and academics who will highlight the economic growth prospects and business opportunities available in a variety of economic sectors.

يشارك في منتدى الشارقة للاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر 2016، الذي تنظمه هيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير (شروق)، بالتعاون مع "فاينانشال تايمز" البريطانية، ومجلة الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر، يومي 28 و29 سبتمبر المقبل، في فندق شيراتون بالشارقة، مجموعة من كبار الرؤساء التنفيذيين في عدد من الشركات والمؤسسات المحلية والعالمية، بهدف مناقشة واستعراض الرؤى المتعلقة بعدد من القضايا الاقتصادية ذات الأهمية في دولة الإمارات، وإمارة الشارقة على وجه الخصوص، وفرص الأعمال في مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية، ومكامن القوة الاقتصادية المحلية.

ويتناول المتحدثون مواضيع ذات أبعاد اقتصادية رئيسة، يطرحون فيها رؤاهم وأفكارهم حول كيفية إطلاق الأعمال في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وفي الشارقة على وجه الخصوص، فضلاً عن القضايا القانونية والتشريعية المرتبطة بها، والتعرف إلى كيفية ضمان الاستثمار الناجح والكشف عن إمكانية إقامة الشراكات بين القطاعين العام والخاص، بالإضافة إلى الاطلاع على التكاليف والمواقع، وسيتاح لهم التعرف إلى جو الأعمال الحالي ومعرفة ماهية تأثير المناخ السياسي والاقتصادي في الأعمال التجارية.
وقال سعادة مروان بن جاسم السركال، المدير التنفيذي لهيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير (شروق): "يسرنا بالفعل أن نشهد مشاركة هذه النخبة من الرؤوساء والمديرين التنفيذيين في فعاليات منتدى الشارقة للاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر في دورته لعام 2016، والذين يمثلون شركات ومؤسسات محلية وعالمية لها مكانتها وتأثيرها في البلدان التي تعمل فيها وأيضاً بالاقتصاد العالمي؛ وتكتسب مشاركة هذه المجموعة في المنتدى أهمية خاصة كونها تفتح الباب واسعاً أمام استعراض خبراتهم وتجاربهم الغنية، وإتاحة أفكارهم وتصوراتهم لواقع الاقتصاد المحلي والعالمي، على المديين المنظور والبعيد، ما يمنح المشاركين الفرصة للاستفادة من هذه الرؤى في تطوير أعمالهم الحالية، والارتقاء بها إلى مستويات أفضل".
وأضاف السركال: "يسلط المنتدى الضوء على واقع بيئة الأعمال الفريدة في الشارقة، وسبل ضمان نجاح الاستثمارات الموجهة إلى مختلف القطاعات الرئيسة في الإمارة، لاسيما السياحة والترفيه، والتنمية البيئية، والرعاية الصحية، والنقل والخدمات اللوجستية؛ وسيبحث المشاركون كذلك مستجدات التعاون بين القطاعين العام والخاص، للخروج بتوصيات حول إمكانية تعزيزه وكيفية الاستفادة من الفرص التي يوفرها بالشكل الأمثل للطرفين".
وأشار إلى أن "المنتدى سيتطرق أيضاً إلى التأثيرات التي تخلفها السياسة ومناخ الاستثمار في الأعمال التجارية، وكيفية تفادي الأضرار الناشئة عن التقلبات الاقتصادية العالمية في الاستثمارات، لاسيما الأجنبية المباشرة، أو العمل على تقليلها إلى الحد الأدنى، وكل هذه المواضيع المهمة وغيرها سيتم مناقشتها باستفاضة خلال يومي انعقاد المنتدى، لاستلهام الحلول والأفكار الناجحة لقيادة أعمال أكثر استقراراً من خلالها".
يشار إلى أن منتدى الشارقة للاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر 2016، سيقام تحت رعاية كريمة من صاحب السمو الشيخ الدكتور سلطان بن محمد القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى حاكم الشارقة، وسيوفر الحدث فرصة لا مثيل لها لدراسة آفاق الاستثمار في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة عموماً، والشارقة على وجه التحديد، وكذلك استعراض الفرص المتاحة في مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية في الإمارة، وذلك بمشاركة واسعة لنخبة من صناع القرار والمسؤولين والخبراء الاقتصاديين.
