Some Gulf Corporates And Infrastructure Issuers Will Likely Feel The Heat Of Lower Oil Prices, Says S&P Report

·        Corporate and infrastructure companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) face a weaker operating environment at present on the back of lower oil prices, which have more than halved since June 2014. Government expenditures, on which these companies largely depend, are slowing as a result.

·        Reflecting this weak economic climate, debt issuance by corporate and infrastructure companies has fallen by 58% in the past 12 months to about $7 billion. This also reflects our view that the credit cycle has reached a potential tipping point, with higher pricing anticipated going forward.

·        We nevertheless see various factors that could tempt existing and new issuers to tap the capital markets over the coming year. These include the gradually declining availability of liquidity at the local banks, the opening up of markets to foreign investment (such as the Tadawul in Saudi Arabia, along with the Iranian market if the nuclear deal with the P5+1 progresses as expected), and the refinancing by government-related entities (GREs) in 2016.

·        Ratings on some companies with exposure to commodity markets have come under pressure due to the lower oil prices. Similarly, ratings on GREs connected to some sovereigns have been constrained. We have lowered the ratings on Bahrain and Oman in 2015. The sovereign ratings on Bahrain and Saudi Arabia remain on negative outlook.

·        The Dubai real estate market is also going through a correction, with residential prices expected to decline by about 10%-20% during 2015. However, we think our ratings on UAE property developers and property investment companies are cushioned enough to withstand the current correction.

·        Despite our expectation of a tougher pricing environment ahead, we expect GCC issuers will have sufficient headroom within their financial profiles to withstand a stress scenario of a rate hike by the Fed, which is usually reflected in GCC central bank rates, of 150-200 basis points (bps) with a limited impact on their financial profiles in the short term.

·        Energy subsidy cuts by Bahrain, Oman, and the UAE governments could increase financial pressures on downstream corporates in the region. Governments are currently protecting large public sector investment budgets to support economic growth. Yet, the longer the oil price remains at current lows, the more likely these could be postponed or cut.

Offshore Reserves to Account for 50% of Oil Production in Abu Dhabi by 2018, reveals ADIPEC

Distinguished Oil & Gas Event to Host Region’s Largest Waterfront Offshore and Marine Zone for the First Time in Support of Sector Growth

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 21 September 2015 – Offshore reserves will account for approximately 50 per cent of total oil production in Abu Dhabi by 2018 as a result of continued investments in production capacity, experts revealed yesterday.

With USD 25 billion worth of investments in offshore oil projects planned by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) over the next five years, advancing the sector through developments in research and technology is becoming ever more critical to preserving it as a valuable energy resource, say industry leaders. The ADNOC investment is part of the UAE’s strategy to boost its total oil output capacity to 3.5 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2017-18 from the current 2.8 million bpd.

Currently, an estimated 40 per cent of oil produced in Abu Dhabi comes from offshore reserves, however sources say that figure will rise to 50 per cent in the next three years. Globally, about 30 per cent of oil produced worldwide comes from offshore oil wells, and offshore resources are playing a greater role in supplying the rising demand for energy, with a growing interest in the potential of deep water reserves.

According to figures from a 2014 report by Total, the deep offshore is believed to contain more than 5 per cent - an estimated 300 billion barrels - of the world’s liquid hydrocarbon resources, or 12 per cent of total conventional oil resources. In 2013, deep water liquid reserves accounted for 6 per cent of global production. That share is forecast to rise to close to 11 per cent of conventional oil output, or 9 million barrels per day, by 2035, according to the same document.

In line with regional and global efforts to continue exploring and developing offshore production, the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) will be launching a dedicated Offshore, Marine and Heavy Equipment Zone situated on the waterfront at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), only 150 metres away from the main exhibition floor. The new area will cover 8,000 gross square metres of space, with a jetty that extends 500 metres long.

“ADIPEC is pleased to be the first oil and gas exhibition in the MENA region to dedicate an entire waterfront section to offshore, subsea and marine products and services,” said Mr Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, Director of Strategy & Coordination at ADNOC, and ADIPEC 2015 Chairman. “The Offshore, Marine and Heavy Equipment Zone will allow exhibitors to showcase their subsea and marine products and services in their native environment, a unique advantage that will offer both participants and visitors a valuable experience.”

Dagher Al Marar, Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi offshore services company, ESNAAD, and ADIPEC 2015 Offshore and Marine Conference Advisory Board Member, said: “Offshore production will represent around 50 per cent of oil production in Abu Dhabi by 2018, and therefore ESNAAD’s offshore services primary role is to accommodate the logistical and technical requirements of this vital sector within the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Tapping into offshore oil reserves has always had its specialty and challenges, and advances in technology have been helping the industry overcome such challenges.”  

A purpose-built zone that provides water access, mooring, and quayside exhibition space will allow more than 200 exhibitors to showcase a host of offshore products and services, including ships, rigs, and vessels, subsea drilling equipment, oceanography and mapping equipment, pipelines and piping components, and tools for reservoir production and monitoring.

The inaugural ADIPEC Offshore and Marine Conference, produced and managed by dmg events, will take centre-stage in a purpose built dedicated waterside theatre, where more than 40 industry experts will present valuable offshore oil and gas knowledge and information.

Three keynote presentations will look at critical sector topics, including an economic analysis of offshore exploration and production, the role of the shipping industry in the 21^st century, and operator cost reduction initiatives.

In addition, 15 industry sessions will offer exclusive panel discussions, case studies, and project updates focusing on vital developments related to shipping, maritime security and safety, pipeline infrastructure and transportation, shallow and deep water exploration and production, oil field developments, drilling and completions, and technological advances.

In addition to the three-day Offshore and Marine Conference, National Drilling Company (NDC) and Det Norske Veritas have joined hands with ADIPEC to host the 11^th Annual Regional Rigowners Seminar on Thursday, 12 November under the theme “Asset Integrity: The New Industry Imperative”.

أديبك: الاحتياطات النفطية البحرية مصدرٌ لنصف إنتاج أبوظبي في 2018

صرَح عدد من الخبراء في قطاع الطاقة أمس أن الاحتياطات النفطية البحرية ستشكل بحلول عام 2018 نحو 50 بالمئة من مجموعه الانتاج النفطي في إمارة أبوظبي. وأرجع الخبراء هذه الزيادة المتوقعة في حصة الإنتاج النفطي من الآبار البحرية في الإمارة إلى تواصل ضخ الاستثمارات الرامية إلى تعزيز الطاقة الإنتاجية من حقول النفط البحرية.

ويقول مسؤولون في قطاع النفط والغاز إن النهوض بالقطاع من خلال التطورات البحثية والتقنية، أمسى أكثر أهمية من أي وقت مضى بُغية الحفاظ عليه كمصدر ثمين من مصادر الطاقة، وذلك في وقت تخطط  فيه شركة بترول أبوظبي الوطنية (أدنوك) الى ضخ استثمارات  تبلغ  25 مليار دولار خلال السنوات الخمس القادمة  في مشاريع متعددة، ببهدف رفع قدراتها  الإنتاجية من حقول  النفط البحرية في الدولة. وياتي ذلك ضمن استراتيجية دولة الامارات التي تهدف الى رفع انتاجها من النفط   إلى 3.5 ملايين برميل يومياً خلال السنوات الثلاثة القادمة، في حين تبلغ الطاقة الإنتاجية حالياً 2.8 مليون برميل يومياً.

                                                               

ويشكل  النفط المستخرج حالياً من الآبار البحرية في أبوظبي بنسبة 40 بالمئة من انتاج أبوظبي من النفط، وتشير المصادر إلى أن هذا الرقم سيرتفع إلى 50% في السنوات الثلاث القادمة، بينما تبلغ نسبة النفط المستخرج على الصعيد العالمي من الحقول البحرية نحو 30 بالمئة. وتشير هذه النسبة إلى تزايد الاهتمام العالمي بالاحتياطات النفطية لاسيَّما من الحقول النفط البحرية لتتمكن من تلبية الطلب المتزايد على الطاقة.

وطبقا  للأرقام الواردة في تقرير صادر عن شركة "توتال" في العام 2014  تحتوي المياه العميقة  على أكثر من 5 بالمئة من الموارد الهيدروكربونية السائلة في العالم، أي ما يقدر بنحو 300 مليار برميل، أو ما يعادل 12 بالمئة من إجمالي النفط المنتج من الموارد النفط التقليدية. وكانت الاحتياطيات السائلة في المياة العميقة شكلت نسبة 6 بالمئة من الإنتاج العالمي في العام 2013، ومن المتوقع أن ترتفع هذه الحصة إلى ما يقرب من 11 بالمئة من إجمالي إنتاج النفط من الموارد  التقليدية، أي ما يعادل 9 ملايين برميل يومياً، بحلول العام 2035، وفقاً للتقرير نفسه.

وفي سياق دعم الجهود الاقليمية والدولية التي تهدف إلى استمرار وتواصل عمليات الاستكشاف والانتاج من الحقول النفطية البحرية يعتزم معرض ومؤتمر أبوظبي الدولي للبترول (أديبك)، وللمرة الأولى في تاريخه، تخصيص منطقة المرسى على الواجهة المائية المحاذية لمركز أبوظبي الوطني للمعارض (أدنيك) والتي تبعد  بمسافة 150 متراً من أرض المعرض، وترتبط مع مرافق العرض بشكل مباشر عبر جسر مشاة، كمساحة عرض خارجية تمتد على طول 500 متر وتغطي مساحة 8000 متر مربع، لعرض المعدات والآليات الثقيلة البحرية والملاحية، وذلك لإتاحة الفرصة للشركات المشاركة لعرض منتجاتها وخدماتها ذات الصلة بعمليات الاستكشاف والانتاج من الحقول البحرية.

ويُقام (أديبك) برعاية كريمة من صاحب السمو الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان، رئيس الدولة، (حفظه الله) حيث تنطلق  الدورة الثامنة عشرة  من معرض ومؤتمر أبوظبي الدولي للبترول "أديبك 2015"، ثالث أكبر حدث في مجال صناعة النفط والغاز في العالم  خلال الفترة بين 9 و 12 نوفمبر في مركز أبوظبي الوطني للمعارض (أدنيك).

وأعرب علي خليفة الشامسي، مدير إدارة الاستراتيجية والتنسيق في "أدنوك"، رئيس معرض ومؤتمر "أديبك 2015"، عن فخره بتخصيص هذا الحدث الدولي الكبير في قطاع النفط والغاز لمنطقة عرض على واجهة بحرية كاملة للمنتجات والخدمات النفطية البحرية والملاحية، تكون الأولى من نوعها في الشرق الأوسط، وقال: "سوف يتيح معرض المعدات والآليات الثقيلة البحرية والملاحية المجال أمام الجهات العارضة لتسليط الضوء على منتجاتها وخدماتها البحرية والملاحية في بيئة عرض حقيقية مناسبة، وهي ميزة فريدة من شأنها أن تثري تجربة المشاركين والزوار".

من جانبه قال داغر درويش المرر، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة إسناد، وعضو المجلس الاستشاري لمؤتمر القطاع الملاحي والبحري في "أديبك 2015"، إن إنتاج النفط من الآبار البحرية سوف يمثل نحو 50 بالمئة من مجمل إنتاج أبوظبي للنفط بحلول العام 2018، مؤكداً أن خدمات "إسناد" البحرية ستلعب دوراً محورياً مهماً في تلبية الاحتياجات اللوجستية والفنية لهذا القطاع الحيوي في الإمارة، وقال: "لطالما كان لاحتياطيات النفط البحرية خصائص وتحديات مرتبطة بالتنقيب والاستخراج، ولذلك ظلّ التقدم التقني يساعد هذا القطاع في التصدي لهذه التحديات والتغلب عليها".

وتتميز منطقة عرض المعدات والآليات الثقيلة البحرية والملاحية في "أديبك 2015" بتصميم خاص يحتوي على قناة مائية تتيح  ابحار  ورسو المراكب، وتشكل هذه المنطقة معرضاً مقام على واجهة مائية تتيح الفرصة أمام أكثر من 200 جهة عارضة لعرض منتجاتها وخدماتها البحرية، التي تشمل المراكب بأنواعها، والمنصات البحرية، ومعدات الحفر في أعماق البحر، ومعدات دراسة المحيطات ووضع الخرائط، والمكونات الخاصة بخطوط الأنابيب البحرية وتمديدها، والأدوات الخاصة بالانتاج  والرصد والمراقبة.

من جهة أخرى، سوف ينعقد مؤتمر "أديبك" الأول لقطاع النفط البحري والملاحي، الذي تنظمه وتديره "دي إم جي للفعاليات"، في قاعة تم بناؤها خصيصا في منطقة الواجهة المائية. حيث سيشارك 40 من الخبراء في هذا المؤتمر ليقدموا خلاصة معرفتهم وخبراتهم القيَمة في قطاع النفط والغاز البحري أمام المندوبين المشاركين في المؤتمر.

ويحتوي جدول أعمال المؤتمر على ثلاث محاضرات رئيسية تتناول مواضيع هامة تتعلق بقطاع النفط والغاز البحري، تشمل تحليلاً اقتصادياً لعمليات التنقيب والإنتاج في حقول النفط البحرية، ودور النقل البحري في القرن الواحد والعشرين، ومبادرات للحد من تكاليف التشغيل.

ويستضيف الحدث 15 جلسة متخصصة ودراسات حالة تقدّم للمشاركين جلسات مناقشة، تتناول بالدراسة بعض  الحالات الخاصة، وتقدم نبذة عن آخر تطورات المشاريع، تركز فيها على التطورات الحيوية المتعلقة بالنقل البحري، والأمن والسلامة في المشاريع البحرية، والبنية التحتية لأنابيب النفط والنقل البري، والاستكشاف والإنتاج في المياه الضحلة والعميقة، بالإضافة إلى أحدث التطورات والتقنيات في حقول النفط وعمليات الحفر.

وبالإضافة إلى هذا المؤتمر، تتعاون كلاً من شركة الحفر الوطنية و"ديت نورسك فيريتاس" مع معرض ومؤتمر أديبك 2015 لاستضافة الدورة الحادية عشر من "المنتدى السنوي للشركات المالكة للحفارات" يوم الخميس 12 نوفمبر المقبل تحت شعار "الحفاظ على قيمة الأصول، الضرورة الحتمية الجديدة للقطاع".

وفي الإطار نفسه، شدّد كريستوفر هدسون، رئيس قطاع الطاقة العالمي في "دي إم جي للفعاليات"، على أهمية تطوير أساليب مستدامة ومعقولة التكلفة للاستفادة من الموارد النفطية البحرية الثمينة، لافتاً إلى وجود اهتمام دولي كبير بالتنقيب والإنتاج البحري، وقال: " سيوفر معرض المعدات والآليات الثقيلة البحرية والملاحية، الذي يقام ضمن فعاليات "أديبك 2015"، الفرصة أمام المهنيين للمشاركة في مناقشات محفزة للتفكير، من شأنها أن تساعد المعنيين على الاستفادة من الموارد النفطية البحرية".

بدوره، دعا داغر درويش المرر قطاع النفط والغاز إلى التركيز إلى تحقيق الكفاءة من خلال الابتكار والأتمتة عند أخذ مسألة تقليل التكاليف بالاعتبار، لا سيما في ظل الوضع الاقتصادي الراهن. وخلص إلى تأكيد أن "النفط والغاز سوف يبقيان المصدر الرئيسي للطاقة طالما هما متاحان، وذلك بفضل اتباع أحدث التقنيات واكتشاف حقول جديدة. وعلى الرغم من أهمية البحث في مصادر بديلة للطاقة، ولا سيما الطاقة المتجددة، ينبغي ألا يتم صرف النظر عن الاستمرار في تطوير المصادر المتاحة لدينا".

Armenian symbols, including the pomegranate, the eternity wheel sign, Zvartnots and Echmiadzin cathedrals, and the national alphabet are featured on the pen. Mkhitaryan used the pen to sign two t-shirts and 20 balls, which will be sold in an auction to raise funds to support Armenian orphanages. In addition, he signed 30 souvenir balls and presented them to children. From his side, Mkhitaryan also gave them t-shirts, caps and balls.

Mkhitaryan said: “Underprivileged children have a lot of potential and talent which need to be harnessed by providing them with quality education and other opportunities to make them respectable members of our society. We, as responsible citizens of Armenia, should take up this noble cause and do the best so that orphans can also have a bright future. I appreciate the efforts of Armenian Caritas as well as Dikran Tchablakian and KriKor Jabourian in organizing this charity event.”

Dikran Tchablakian and KriKor Jabourian expressed their gratitude to the FFA and its President, Ruben Hayrapetyan, for providing them the opportunity to organize the event. They also thanked Mkhitaryan for participating in it to raise funds for supporting orphanages in Armenia.

استضافت جمعية "كاريتاس الأرمنية"، إحدى المؤسسات الخيرية الأرمنية الرائدة، مؤخراً حفلاً خيرياً جمع ثلاثين طفلاً من الأطفال المحرومين، وذلك في مقر أكاديمية كرة القدم/المركز الفني لاتحاد كرة القدم في أرمينيا. وحظيت الفعالية بحضور اللاعب هنريك مخيتاريان، لاعب خط الوسط في منتخب أرمينيا الوطني لكرة القدم والذي يلعب حالياً لصالح نادي "بوروسيا دورتموند" الألماني، وبمشاركة فريق عمل القلم الأرميني "إيريبوني" الذي يمثّله ديكران تشابلاكيان، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "تك باي"، إلى جانب كريكور جابوريان، الشريك الإداري لشركة "إيربو – تك". وقام الجميع بتشجيع الأطفال وحثهم على السعي بجد وبذل أقصى ما في وسعيهم للوصول إلى أهدافهم وتلبية طموحاتهم المستقبلية.

وشهدت الإحتفالية تقديم تشابلاكيان وجابوريان القلم "إيريبوني هافيرج"، الذي تنتجه شركة "مونتيغرابا" الإيطالية الرائدة في صناعة المنتجات الفاخرة، إلى مخيتاريان. ويحمل القلم في تصميمه مجموعة من الرموز الأرمينية، بما في ذلك ثمرة الرمان وعلامة عجلة الخلود ورمز لكل من كاتدرائيتي "زفارتنوتس" و"اشميادزين"، إلى جانب الحروف الأبجدية الأرمينية. واستخدم اللاعب مخيتاريان القلم لتوقيع قميصين وعشرين كرة سيتم بيعها في مزاد لجمع الأموال لدعم دور الأيتام الأرمن. كما وقع أيضاً ثلاثين كرة تذكارية وقدمها كهدية للأطفال إلى جانب بعض القمصان والقبعات.

وقال مخيتاريان: "لدى الأطفال المحرومين الكثير من الإمكانيات والمواهب التي يتوجب تسخيرها من خلال توفير فرص تعليمية عالية الجودة وإتاحة المجال أمامهم ليصبحوا فاعلين في المجتمع. ويجب علينا كمواطنين أرمن وأصحاب مسؤولية وطنية أن نتبنى هذه القضية النبيلة ونبذل قصارى جهدنا لضمان مستقبل مشرق للأيتام. وأثمّن جهود جمعية "كاريتاس الأرمنية"وديكران تشابلاكيان وكريكور جبوريان في تنظيم هذه الفعالية الخيرية".

وتوجه كل من ديكران تشابلاكيان وكريكور جبوريان بالشكر الى إتحاد الكرة الأرميني ورئيسه روبين إيرابتيان لإتاحة الفرصة لتنظيم هذه الفعالية. كما تقدما بالشكر الى اللاعب مخيتاريان على مشاركته في جمع الأموال لدعم دور الأيتام في أرمينيا.

Karcher aims to ‘floor’ exhibitors and visitors at the Hotel Show 2015

Dubai, 21stSeptember 2015 – Karcher, the world leader in innovative cleaning technology solutions is set to participate in the 16thannual Hotel Show. This year’s edition of the show for the hotel, restaurant, café and foodservice industry will span across halls 2 – 8 of the Dubai World Trade Centre from 28 – 30 September 2015.

The Hotel Show now in its 16thyear, has been growing steadily since its inaugural event in 1999. This year’s show is expected to outgrow the 12% growth recorded in last year’s edition and attract more than 700 exhibitors, and 19,000 attendees from the hospitality industry. In addition to the regular hospitality related knowledge sharing sessions, two new programmes entitled the ‘Design Theatre’ and the TecSec Programme’ focusing on architecture and interior design, and technology and security respectively are to be added to this year’s edition.

Speaking on Karcher’s participation at the event, Mr Sreekumar Panicker, head of UAE sales of Karcher ME, said, “There’s no doubting the size and scale of this event, our presence here is imperative to our growth in this sector in the MENA and other regions.” Further elaborating on Karcher’s relevance to the hospitality industry, Mr Sreekumar commented on the “Absolute necessity for hygiene in cafés, restaurants, and other areas in hotels. Karcher’s machines that do not use harmful chemicals can sanitize areas without contaminating any food or leaving harmful residues, and unpleasant odours, especially in common waiting areas.”

Karcher will display its steam-generating vacuum cleaner, the SGV 8/5, which can be utilized for deep cleaning critical areas such as kitchens, and the spray-extraction cleaner Puzzi 30/4 for use on carpets and upholstery at the show.

كارشر" تهدف الى خطف انظار الزائرين والعارضين في معرض الفنادق 2015

(دبي، 21 سبتمبر 2015) - كارشر، الشركة الرائدة عالمياً في مجال حلول تكنولوجيا التنظيف المبتكرة، تشارك في معرض الفنادق السنوي بدبي في نسخته السادسة عشر، ويستضيف المعرض هذا العام العديد من الفنادق والمطاعم والمقاهي والعاملين في مجال الطعام والأغذية على مدار ثلاثة أيام من 28-30 سبتمبر الجاري في مركز دبي التجاري العالمي.

شهد معرض الفنادق نموا مضطردا منذ افتتاحه عام 1999 ، ومن المتوقع ان يحقق هذا العام نموا يزيد عن 12% بالنسبة لدورة العام الماضي، حيث يتوقع جذب اكثر من 700 شركة عارضة  و19  الف زائر وعامل في مجال الضيافة والفندقة. واضافة الى جلسات تبادل المعرفة والمعلومات في المجال، تم تنظيم برنامجين جديدين بعنوان "مسرح التصميمات" الذي يركز على احدث تصميمات الهندسة والديكور الداخلي و " تيك سيك" الذي يلقي الضوء على احدث ما وصلت اليه التكنولوجيا والأمن في هذا المجال.

وبالحديث عن مشاركة "كارشر" في المعرض، قال سريكومار بانيكر رئيس قسم المبيعات في الإمارات " ليس هناك شك في حجم ونطاق هذا المعرض، ووجودنا هنا هو ضرورة لنمونا في هذا القطاع في منطقة الشرق الأوسط ومناطق أخرى" وعلاوة على ذلك وضح أهمية عمل "كارشر"  في قطاع الضيافة، مضيفاً  "ان الضرورة المطلقة للنظافة في المقاهي والمطاعم وغيرها من المناطق في الفنادق هي ما يدفعنا للمشاركة، فآلات "كارشر" التي لا تستخدم المواد الكيميائية الضارة يمكنها ان تقوم بتطهير المناطق المتسخة دون تلويث اي طعام أو ترك مخلفات ضارة او روائح الكريهة وخاصة في مناطق الانتظار العامة".

وستسلط "كارشر" الضوء على آلتين خلال هذا المعرض هما المكنسة الكهربائية لتوليد البخار (اس جي في 8/5) والتي يمكن استخدامها لتنظيف المناطق الحيوية مثل المطابخ بصورة عميقة، وآلة (بوزي 30/4) للتنظيف برش رذاذ الماء المستخرج بعمق النسيج مع ميزة إضافية تتمثل في أداة شفط مرنة والتي تستخدم للتنظيف العميق للسجاد والمفروشات.
