JCDecaux appoints David Bourg to succeed Laurence Debroux as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

At its 3 November 2014 meeting, the Supervisory Board appointed David Bourg as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and member of the Executive Board, together with Jean Charles Decaux, Jean François Decaux, Jean-Sébastien Decaux, Emmanuel Bastide and Daniel Hofer, effective January 15th, 2015. He will be based in Paris.

David Bourg (44) is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and obtained a Master's degree and post-graduate diploma in economics (DEA) from the University of Paris Dauphine. He began his career in the Deloitte & Touche firm with various positions of responsibility, including Audit Supervisor in Buenos Aires and Audit Manager in Paris. He joined JCDecaux in 2001 as a Business Development Manager principally responsible for merger & acquisition projects within the Group. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Asia in 2005, and CEO for Middle East in 2011.

Martin Sabbagh has been appointed CEO for Middle East, effective January 15th, 2015, to succeed David Bourg.

Martin Sabbagh (35) holds a one-year post-graduate diploma (DESS) in Corporate Finance awarded by the University of Paris Dauphine. He began his career in 2002 with ING specialising in LBO Financing, before spending four years as an Auditor with Ernst & Young. He moved to JCDecaux in May 2007 to take up a position as Senior Acquisition Analyst. In 2008, he’s appointed Head of the Group’s Investor Relations and Financial Communications Department before becoming, in 2011, Director of Mergers & Acquisitions and Development.

General Al Sha’far congratulated the newlyweds, wishing them a happy life. “Marriage is a strong bond that serves as a platform for a new social life, based on mutual respect, good relations, and mutual understanding,” he said. He also urged them to shoulder the responsibility, in order to achieve a stable family life, and turn the family into a social institution capable of leading roles in society.

For his part, Rashid Obaid Al Kashf, Board Member of the Marriage Fund delivered a speech on the occasion and said, “The 43rd UAE National Day festivities were exceptionally special, and our celebrations continue with this remarkable event. The participation of the Marriage Fund in this national occasion reflects our keenness to leave a distinguished mark, and show our loyalty and love for this elite group of the country’s citizens. We are extremely delighted to join this joyous ceremony and celebrate the wedding of 58 grooms of MoI’s staff members in one evening; as part of the Marriage Fund’s vision to build and maintain a stable and cohesive Emirati family that, in turn, builds a solid society.”

Al Kashf praised the generous patronage of HH Sheikh Saif of the event, which reflects the efforts of the higher leadership to alleviate the difficulties impeding young Emirati couples from establishing families and securing a stable and decent family life “His Highness’ patronage of the event also reflects the keenness to provide care and attention to young Emirati citizens, via the countless services and social care programs, in addition to the various privileges granted to them. This embodies the mutual love and respect between the higher leadership and its people,” Al Kashf added.

Al Kashf also said, “The Marriage Fund is proud to take part in the wedding of young Emiratis; such happy celebrations  reflect pride and belonging to this generous country, and express the young generations’  hope as they advance into a brighter future with confidence, thanks to the full support of the country and its generous leadership.”

Al Kashf congratulated the newlyweds, whishing them joy, well-being and a life of love; praying Allah Almighty to support their efforts to build a stable and secure family. “The family is the fundamental pillar of the country and the most precious wealth,” he added.

At the end of his speech, Al Kashf expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the Ministry of Interior’s officials for sponsoring and well organizing the event. He also thanked all entities who provided support to the group weddings.

The Police Music band performed a number of musical pieces, while the military band performed traditional dances inspired by the occasion.

"الداخلية" تحتفل بالعرس الجماعي السادس لـ 58 منتسباً

تحت رعاية الفريق سموّ الشيخ سيف بن زايد آل نهيان، نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية، شهد الفريق سيف عبدالله الشعفار، وكيل وزارة الداخلية، حفل العرس الجماعي السادس، لـ"58" من منتسبي الوزارة على مستوى الدولة، وصندوق الزواج، الذي نظمته مساء أمس "الاثنين" إدارة العلاقات العامة في وزارة الداخلية؛ بالتعاون مع مؤسسة صندوق الزواج في نادي ضباط القوات المسلحة بأبوظبي.

حضر الحفل اللواء عبد العزيز مكتوم الشريفي، مدير عام الأمن الوقائي بالوزارة، والعقيد يوسف خوري نائب مدير عام الإقامة وشؤون الأجانب في أبوظبي، وراشد عبيد الكشف، عضو مجلس إدارة صندوق الزواج، والعقيد حسين محمود العوضي، مدير إدارة العلاقات العامة بالإنابة في وزارة الداخلية، وعدد من الضباط في الوزارة، وأهالي المشاركين في العرس والمدعوين.

وقال الفريق سيف عبدالله الشعفار، وكيل الوزارة، في تصريح له إن الأعراس الجماعية تمثل إحدى القضايا المجتمعية المهمة، لافتاً إلى أهمية تكاتف الجهود لتشجيع زواج المواطنين من المواطنات؛ تجسيداً لمفاهيم المسؤولية الاجتماعية بمؤسسات الدولة الحكومية والخاصة.

وأضاف أن الأعراس الجماعية تعتبر فكرة نبيلة وخطوة مباركة في طريق تعزيز مجتمع الخير والمحبة والتعاون والتكافل، لافتاً إلى أن استمرار هذه التجربة الناجحة والمتميزة للعام الخامس على التوالي؛ ترسخ مبادئ أسرية أصيلة في أجيال المجتمع الإماراتي الشابة.

وأكد أن العرس الجماعي السادس يأتي لتخفيف المعاناة عن الشباب المقبلين على الزواج، وتيسير أمور زواجهم لبناء وإنشاء أسر متماسكة، ويجسّد روح العطاء ومفاهيم المشاركة المجتمعية لوزارة الداخلية.

وهنأ الشعفار العرسان الجدد، متمنياً لهم حياة سعيدة، مشيراً إلى أن الزواج رابطة متماسكة لحياة اجتماعية أساسها الاحترام المتبادل وحسن العشرة، والتفاهم المشترك، وتحمل المسؤولية بما يجعل الحياة الأسرية أكثر استقراراً، والأسرة مؤسسة اجتماعية قادرة على القيام بادوار رائدة في المجتمع.

وقال راشد عبيد الكشف، عضو مجلس إدارة مؤسسة صندوق الزواج، في كلمة له، لقد كان احتفالنا بمناسبة اليوم الوطني الثالث والأربعين للدولة احتفالاً استثنائياً، وها هي أفراحنا واحتفالاتنا تتوالى، لافتاً إلى أن مشاركة صندوق الزواج في هذا العرس الوطني، تأتي انطلاقاً من الحرص على ترك بصمة متميزة نجسّد من خلالها الولاء والحب لهذه النخبة من أبناء الوطن، وفرحتنا حينما نزف "58" عريساً من منتسبي وزارة الداخلية في ليلة واحدة، وفقاً  لرؤية صندوق الزواج في تبني أسرة إماراتية متماسكة ومستقرة تسهم في بناء المجتمع .  

وأشاد بالرعاية الكريمة للفريق سمو نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية، للعرس الجماعي انطلاقاً من اهتمام القيادة العليا في تخفيف معاناة الشباب المقبلين على الزواج، وتيسير أمور زواجهم؛ ومساندة الشبان المواطنين للإسهام في بناء مجتمع آمن ومستقر، وتجسيد معاني الحنو والاهتمام والعناية بالشباب، حيث تجلى ذلك بالعديد من الخدمات المقدمة من خلال برامج الرعاية الاجتماعية، والمميزات التي يحظى بها أبناء الوطن، تعبيراً عن مدى الحب والاحترام المتبادل الذي توليه القيادة العليا بأبنائها.

وأعرب عن اعتزاز صندوق الزواج برؤية مواكبة الأفراح لشباب الإمارات، وهي تتوالى وتتعاقب أمامنا في ربوع هذا الوطن، متزينة بوشاح الفخر والاعتزاز بانتمائها وولائها لهذا البلد المعطاء، تلفها مشاعر الأمل في غد مشرق، مطمئنين أنهم ليسوا وحدهم في الطريق، وأن هناك أيادي كريمة معطاءة تمتد إليهم.

وهنأ الأزواج الجدد وبارك لهم زواجهم، متمنياً لهم السعادة والرفاهية، ودوام المحبة والمودة، داعياً المولى عز وجل أن يوفقهم في تكوين أسرهم ورعايتها، والمحافظة على كيانها واستقرارها، بإعتبار أن الأسرة هي الرصيد الحقيقي لهذا الوطن، وهي الثروة الأغلى لهذا المجتمع.

وفي ختام كلمته قدم الشكر والتقدير إلى المسؤولين في وزارة الداخلية على رعايتهم وحسن تنظيمهم للعرس الجماعي السادس، كما شكر جميع الجهات المخلصة التي شاركت في دعم مسيرة الأعراس الجماعية.

وقدمت فرقة موسيقى الشرطة عدداً من المعزوفات الموسيقية، كما قدمت الفرقة الحربية رقصات شعبية تتناسب مع هذه المناسبة.
