“Cybersecurity leaders are navigating uncharted territory this year as these forces converge, testing the limits of their teams in an environment defined by constant change,” said Alex Michaels, Director Analyst at Gartner. “This demands new approaches to cyber risk management, resilience and resource allocation.”

Trend 1: Agentic AI Demands Cybersecurity Oversight

Agentic AI is rapidly being used by employees and developers, creating new attack surfaces. No-code/low-code platforms and vibe coding expand this further, driving unmanaged AI agent proliferation, unsecured code and potential regulatory compliance violations.

 

“While AI agents and automation tools are becoming increasingly accessible and practical for organizations to adopt, strong governance remains essential,” said Michaels. “Cybersecurity leaders must identify both sanctioned and unsanctioned AI agents, enforce robust controls for each and develop incident response playbooks to address potential risks.”

 

Trend 2: Global Regulatory Volatility Drives Cyber Resilience Efforts

Shifting geopolitical landscapes and evolving global mandates have made cybersecurity a critical business risk with direct implications for organizational resilience. With regulators increasingly holding boards and executives liable for compliance failures, inaction can result in substantial penalties, lost business and irreversible reputational damage.

 

Gartner advises cybersecurity leaders to formalize collaboration across legal, business and procurement teams to establish clear accountability for cyber risk. Aligning control frameworks to recognized standards and addressing data sovereignty concerns will help reduce compliance gaps.

 

Trend 3: Postquantum Computing Moves into Action Plans

Gartner predicts advances in quantum computing will render the asymmetric cryptography organizations rely on to secure data and systems unsafe by 2030. Postquantum cryptography alternatives must be adopted now to avoid potential data breaches, legal liability and financial loss from “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks targeting long-term sensitive data.

Trend 4: Identity and Access Management Adapts to AI Agents

The rise of AI agents is introducing new challenges to traditional identity and access management (IAM) strategies, especially in identity registration and governance, credential automation and policy-driven authorization for machine actors. Failure to address these issues will lead to greater risk of access-related cybersecurity incidents as autonomous agents become more prevalent.

 

Gartner recommends taking a targeted, risk-based approach, by investing where gaps and risks are greatest while leveraging automation where possible. This is essential for enabling innovation, ensuring compliance and securing critical assets in AI-centric environments.

 

Trend 5: AI-Driven SOC Solutions Destabilize Operational Norms

Driven by cost optimization practices and increasing interest in AI, the emergence of AI-enabled security operations centers (SOCs) is introducing new complexity. This is contributing to staffing pressures, increased upskilling demands and evolving cost considerations for AI tools, even as these technologies enhance alert triage and investigation workflows.

A Gartner survey of 175 employees conducted between May and November 2025 indicates over 57% use personal GenAI accounts for work purposes and 33% admit inputting sensitive information into unapproved tools.

 

Gartner recommends shifting from general awareness training to adaptive behavioral and training programs that include AI-specific tasks. الاتجاه الخامس: حلول مراكز عمليات الأمن المعتمدة على الذكاء الاصطناعي تغير من أساليب العمل التقليدية

مع تسارع استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي التوليد، لم تعد برامج التوعية الأمنية الحالية كافية للحد من مخاطر الأمن السيبراني. وتظهر دراسة أجرتها جارتنر على 175 موظف بين مايو ونوفمبر 2025 أن أكثر من 57% يستخدمون حساباتهم الشخصية للذكاء الاصطناعي في العمل، بينما أقر 33% منهم بإدخال بيانات حساسة في أدوات غير معتمدة.

جمهورية مصر العربية، القاهرة، 27 يناير 2026: أعلنت كلية الطب بجامعة سانت جورج في غرينادا، عن شراكة جديدة مع الجامعة الأميركية بالقاهرة في جمهورية مصر العربية. وبموجب هذا التعاون، سيتمكّن الطلاب المسجلون في برنامج بكالوريوس العلوم في الأحياء عبر المسار التمهيدي للطب في الجامعة الأميركية بالقاهرة من الاستفادة من إجراءات تقديم مخصصة لبرنامج دراسة الطب لمدة أربع سنوات في جامعة سانت جورج، الذي تقدمه الجامعة في غرينادا أو في المؤسسة الشريكة لها، جامعة نورثمبريا في نيوكاسل بالمملكة المتحدة. وسيُدعى المتقدمون الذين يستوفون شروط القبول في جامعة سانت جورج للمشاركة في مقابلة القبول. ومن خلال هذه الشراكة، يستفيد طلبة الجامعة الأميركية بالقاهرة من إجراءات تقديم مبسطة لمسارات دراسة الطب بجامعة سانت جورج، إضافة إلى منح دراسية جزئية، ومقابلات قبول مضمونة، وإمكانية الوصول إلى نادي جامعة سانت جورج الطبي العالمي، الذي يعد منصة تعليمية رقمية توفر محتوى حصري وموارد إرشادية وإشرافية. ويحظى طلاب جامعة سانت جورج الملتحقون ببرنامج الطب بفرص تدريب سريري في أكثر من 75 مستشفى ومركزاً طبياً تابعاً في الولايات المتحدة والمملكة المتحدة. وتُسهم هذه البرامج التدريبية في دمج الطلبة بشكل مباشر في بيئات رعاية المرضى، وتعزيز المعايير المهنية، وترسيخ قيم النزاهة والمسؤولية والتعلّم المستمر مدى الحياة. وقالت أوريلي ليلي فوماراك، المدير المساعد للشراكات الدولية في جامعة سانت جورج: "تُعدّ الجامعة الأميركية بالقاهرة مؤسسة أكاديمية مرموقة في المنطقة، وتعكس هذه الشراكة اهتمامنا المشترك بدعم الطلبة الراغبين بدراسة الطب. ونتطلع إلى توفير مسار أكاديمي يتيح للطلاب المؤهلين من الجامعة الأميركية بالقاهرة التقدّم إلى جامعة سانت جورج لاستكشاف خياراتهم المهنية المستقبلية في القطاع الطبي. لقد استقبلت جامعة سانت جورج العديد من الطلاب من مصر على مدار سنوات طويلة، ويسعدنا مواصلة تعزيز الفرص المتاحة لطلبة المنطقة". وأضافت: "من خلال تعاوننا مع الجامعة الأميركية بالقاهرة، نعمل على توسيع شبكة شركائنا العالمية وفتح آفاق جديدة أمام الطلبة الدوليين الموهوبين للحصول على تعليم وتدريب عاليي الجودة، بما يمكّنهم من توظيف مهاراتهم ومعرفتهم في الممارسة العملية اليومية والمساهمة في رسم ملامح مستقبل القطاع الطبي". وقال لطفي جعفر، عميد كلية العلوم والهندسة بالجامعة الأميركية بالقاهرة: "يسرّنا إبرام هذه الشراكة مع كلية الطب بجامعة سانت جورج في غرينادا، إذ يفتح هذا التعاون مسارات جديدة ومهمة أمام طلبة المسار التمهيدي للطب في الجامعة الأميركية بالقاهرة والراغبين بمواصلة دراستهم الطبية وتحقيق طموحاتهم الأكاديمية". وأضاف: "من خلال الجمع بين منهج التعليم الليبرالي القوي الذي تقدمه الجامعة والسمعة المرموقة لجامعة سانت جورج في مجال التعليم الطبي، نوفّر لطلبتنا مساراً أكاديمياً متكاملاً يدعم النمو الفكري والإعداد المهني على حد سواء". لمزيد من المعلومات حول البرامج والمسارات المتاحة في كلية الطب بجامعة سانت جورج، يُرجى زيارة الموقع الإلكتروني للجامعة. -انتهى-
