دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 25 يناير 2023: سيجتمع العالم في مؤتمر آراب هيلث 2023 في وقت لاحق من هذا الشهر، حيث يعتبر المعرض فرصة مثالية للمستثمرين لدفع الابتكار في صناعة الصحة، وخاصةً بعد الاستقرار السياسي المتزايد في المملكة المتحدة وأهداف البحث والتطوير الطموحة بعد فترة عصيبة من الاضطرابات السياسية في السنوات القليلة الماضية.

من الواضح الآن أن المملكة المتحدة لن تصبح منافسًا غير منظم للاتحاد الأوروبي، لذلك يجب أن يكون تركيز الحكومة على تحسين جاذبية المملكة المتحدة لكل من الاستثمار الداخلي والمصدرين، حيث يعد عقد الشراكات في منطقة الخليج أمرًا حيويًا للمساعدة في جلب الابتكار إلى السوق أو النطاق من جهة، وزيادة الصادرات من جهة أخرى.

تعد الصفقة التجارية المحتملة بين المملكة المتحدة ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي أولوية واضحة لحكومة المملكة المتحدة وخارج المجال السياسي، حيث يجد المستثمرون الذين يتطلعون إلى المملكة المتحدة أنفسهم في وضع قوي أيضًا، إذ تباطأت عجلة الاستثمار في المملكة المتحدة بشكل كبير منذ عام 2016، وأصول المملكة المتحدة رخيصة نسبيًا.

في مجال التكنولوجيا الطبية على وجه التحديد، أظهر بحث صادر من شركة ABHI في نوفمبر 2022 أن ثلاثة أرباع شركات صناعة التكنولوجيا الصحية تعتقد أنه لن يتم النظر إلى المملكة المتحدة كأولوية على المستوى الدولي، بينما يعتقد 17٪ فقط من شركات التكنولوجيا الصحية أن المملكة المتحدة تأخذ نهج طموح في تطوير نظام سيادي.

ولكن مع خروج المملكة المتحدة من فترة عدم الاستقرار السياسي، تبقى نقاط القوة الأساسية للبلاد في الابتكار والبحث والتطوير قائمة، حيث أعلنت حكومة المملكة المتحدة العام الماضي عن أكبر ميزانية للبحث والتطوير على الإطلاق، حيث استثمرت ما يقرب من 40 مليار جنيه إسترليني بحلول عام 2025 لدفع طموحات البلاد إلى أن تصبح قوة علمية عظمى. هذا بالإضافة إلى 260 مليون جنيه إسترليني من تمويل حكومة المملكة المتحدة الذي تم الإعلان عنه العام الماضي لأبحاث الرعاية الصحية وتطويرها وتصنيعها.

كجزء من هذا المشهد المتوسع باستمرار، هناك فرص الآن في مجالات سريعة النمو مثل: التكنولوجيا الصحية وعلوم الحياة وصافي صفر التكنولوجيا، إلى جانب نقاط القوة التقليدية مثل: الخدمات المالية والخدمات المهنية والصناعات الإبداعية والدفاع.

يمكن أن تكون هذه مجالات مثمرة للشراكة المحتملة لاقتصادات الخليج، مما يساعد على تلبية بعض أهدافها الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لقاعدة مهارات أعلى وأكثر استدامة في اقتصاداتها، مع دفع تحسينات أوسع انتشارًا في الرعاية الصحية.

وقد بدأت بعض الشركات بالفعل في الاستفادة من هذه الفرصة، حيث افتتحت وزارة التجارة الدولية مؤخرًا سوق تصدير المملكة المتحدة أمام دولة قطر لتزويد الفيتامينات والمكملات الغذائية، مما يتيح الشركات المعروفة دوليًا مثل هولاند آند باريت إلى منتجات التصدير، وفي عام 2007 ، أصبحت مستشفى مورفيلدز دبي للعيون أول فرع خارجي من المستشفى الذي يتخذ من لندن مقراً له، ومنذ ذلك الحين أصبح أحد مؤسسات الرعاية الرائدة في المنطقة، وفي عام 2020  قدمت وزارة التجارة الدولية ومكتب الاستثمار شراكة الاستثمار السيادية بين الإمارات العربية المتحدة والمملكة المتحدة البالغة 800 مليون جنيه إسترليني في علوم الحياة.

برنامج "أكرونيس سايبر فاونديشن" يحتفل بالسنة الخامسة لرحلته في خدمة الأطفال والمجتمعات

 

يواصل برنامج "أكرونيس سايبر فاونديشن" بالتعاون مع شركائنا توفير الفرص التعليمية وجهود الإغاثة الإنسانية لمساعدة المناطق التي تعاني من نقص الموارد، وذلك بدعم مجموعة من المبادرات الخيرية المتنوعة.

 

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 24 يناير 2023 - تحتفل شركة "أكرونيس" اليوم بكل بالذكرى السنوية الخامسة لبرنامج "أكرونيس سايبر فاونديشن"، البرنامج الذي يضم مجموعة من المبادرات الخيرية المخصصة للمساهمة مع الشركاء في إنشاء مشاريع تنموية للمجتمعات وتوفير فرص التطوع لأعضاء الفريق في جميع أنحاء العالم. ومع مرور خمس سنوات على النجاح الضخم للبرنامج والنمو المستمر في تحسين إتاحة الفرص التعليمية، يستمر البرنامج في استهداف إتاحة التعليم للجميع، مع تطوير نطاق العمل ليتضمن كذلك جهود الإغاثة الإنسانية في حالات الكوارث والمشاريع البيئية أيضًا.

 

تأسس البرنامج في عام 2018 مكرسًا جهوده لمجال التعليم، وذلك عبر تمويل بناء المدارس وإتاحة التدريب على مهارات تقنية المعلومات لمختلف المجتمعات حول العالم. وحتى يومنا الحالي تمكّن برنامج "أكرونيس سايبر فاونديشن" بالتعاون مع الشركاء من النجاح في بناء 18 مدرسة بالإضافة إلى وجود 5 مدارس قيد التنفيذ في 22 دولة مختلفة. استفاد من هذه المبادرة أكثر من 5,500 طالب حيث أصبح يمكنهم الآن الوصول إلى فرص التعليم الجيد. وبنية تقديم المزيد من الدعم للتعليم، جرى تجهيز 12 مدرسة بفصول دراسية للحاسوب لتزويد الطلاب بفرص الوصول إلى التقنيات الحديثة وبالتالي الاستفادة من التعلّم في بيئة رقمية.

 

فضلًا عن بناء المدارس؛ شارك البرنامج في عدة مشاريع تعليمية مع أكثر من 14,000 مشارك في برامج "أكرونيس" للتدريب على مهارات تقنية المعلومات، كما قدّم البرنامج المساعدات الإنسانية لأكثر من 5,000 فرد في المجتمعات الأقل نمواً. ومن جدير بالذكر أن البرنامج يؤثر تأثيرًا مباشرًا على المتطوعين المشاركين، مما يمنحهم  فرصة للاحتكاك والتعرّف على أجزاء بعيدة من العالم، واكتساب المزيد من التجارب الفريدة بالتعامل مع مختلف الثقافات، مع استمرار حوالي 92 ٪ من متطوعي برنامج "أكرونيس سايبر فاونديشن" في أداء جهود الإغاثة الإنسانية كل عام. انطلاقًا من العام 2023؛ يخطط البرنامج لتوسيع نطاق أعماله ووضع المشاريع البيئية على قائمة أولوياته بالتزامن مع مواصلة جهوده التعليمية والإنسانية في السنوات السابقة.

لا شك أن التعليم له تأثير قوي وإيجابي للغاية على حياة الناس، فالتعليم يفتح الأبواب أمام مهن المستقبل في مجال التقنية ضمن قطاع عالمي مزدهر. تستهدف برامج التدريب على تقنية المعلومات المقدمة من برنامج "أكرونيس سايبر فاونديشن" الأفراد الذين قد لا يكون لديهم قدرة على الوصول إلى الموارد التعليمية المتقدمة. على سبيل المثال، تمكنت المبادرة في سنغافورة من مساعدة أكثر من 120 طالبًا على إكمال التدريب والحصول على شهادات معتمدة واكتساب مهارات قيمة لتأمين الحصول على العمل، بالشراكة مع صندوق "يلو ريبون فاند" . وفقًا لسجلات البرنامج؛ فقد تمكن أكثر من 70٪ من خريجي تدريب مهارات تقنية المعلومات من الحصول على عمل في غضون شهر واحد فقط بعد الانتهاء من الدورة التدريبية. أما برنامج مهارات تقنية المعلومات للمهاجرين في سويسرا المنشأ بالشراكة مع منظمة "إنتجريس" الهادفة إلى دمج المهاجرين في سويسرا، فقد تمكن من مساعدة مجتمع المهاجرين في "شافهاوزن" على تحسين مهاراتهم واكتساب الجديد والضروري منها لمجال العمل، مما ساعد أكثر من 70 طالبًا في على مدى ثلاث سنوات.

Keeping hope alive There is a famous quote by American author Robert Jordan that goes something like this: “The oak fought the wind and was broken, the willow bent when it must and survived.” Indeed, the reality of being human implies several difficult truths that we should all reconcile sooner or later. There are not many sure things in this world, but what is irrefutable is that storms do not bypass anyone, and what matters is how we withstand them and what kind of wisdom they leave behind. In this game of life (and business), there is no doubt that a little resilience, patience and hope go a long way. This is a truth we know well at Baseload Capital, which is precisely why resilience and innovation are at the very throne of our values. This is also a truth that Larry Bandt has successfully embraced in the last few years while putting Baseload Power U.S. on its feet. As a Baseload Power U.S. Project Manager, Larry spent four years at the front line, taking the heat and working relentlessly through the impediments. Being a pioneer is not easy, and it isn’t for everyone, but Larry demonstrated that giving up is not a choice for him. Focus on the things you can control Larry describes his recent challenges: “It would be easier to say what obstacles we didn't encounter at Wendel!  The most impactful obstacle, in my opinion, was the extremely lengthy permitting process. This impacted the timing and cost of the project dramatically, and without the appropriate permits, you don't have a project. It moves at the pace determined by the regulatory agencies (usually glacially), and you have very little control over the process. It ends up devouring a lot of time that could be spent on other aspects of the project. And you have to keep your frustrations with the regulators in check so that you don’t say or do anything that causes more problems. Supply chain issues were (and continue to be) another serious problem both from a cost and delivery standpoint. Items that were essentially in stock prior to the disruptions caused by COVID-19 suddenly became long lead items with 18–24-week delivery times if you could even order them. And the price for these materials skyrocketed, with cost increases of 25-50% virtually overnight. Finding available contractors capable and interested in doing the specialized work needed by the project added yet another hurdle to the project. I ended up becoming a contractor to do the tasks that we couldn't find others to do”. Despite all the problems, his determination to prove the naysayers wrong motivated Larry not to give up. “These types of projects are a marathon, not a sprint, so you can't fixate on things that go wrong or that you can't change; you have to focus on the things you can control. It's like eating an elephant; if you think too much about how much you have right in front of you, you won't even take the first bite. But if you pick a place to start, start chewing, and tell yourself that each bite you take gets you closer to the end, even if you don't feel like you are getting anywhere, you'll eventually end up with a pile of bones in front of you. Relish the small victories when you have them and don't dwell on the defeats too long”, Larry tells us. Lessons from the front line No matter how astonishing it sounds, being on the front line, and trying to get everything up and running is not for everyone. In Larry’s opinion, being in that position, you need to try not to be discouraged or angry when things aren't going as planned. Find workarounds to whatever problems block your way, no matter how insurmountable those problems seem at the time. Have a short memory in terms of letting go of the bad stuff once you're past it. Get an intimate understanding of how the project you are working on is supposed to work. Ultimately, you wear a lot of hats and get your hands dirty to get things done. What will get you through unfavorable circumstances is undoubtedly innovation, as well as creativity. As Larry elucidates, find solutions that aren't available out of the box and come up with something that does what you need it to do. Keep swimming As far as lessons learned, Larry deems that patience was (and is) crucial. “Knowing when to say I've done all I can, I can't do it all by myself, I need help. And setting aside problems that you can't get your hands around and coming back to them later with a fresh mind. I'm not a huge fan of the phrase 'it is what it is', but it kind of sums up the mindset you need. There are times when I've had to accept that I can't force things to go the way I want them to, I have to let them take me down another path. It might end up not being the right path and I'll backtrack or go down another, but you need to think like a shark, keep swimming or die”, he adds. What Larry demonstrated these past few years were values that are indubitably the ones we built Baseload Capital on - resilience, innovation and visionary pioneering. AD Ports Group Signs MoU with Tosyalı, one of Turkey’s Largest Private Steel Producers

Agreement Opens Opportunities for Collaboration on Shipping, Logistics, Freight Forwarding and Port Management

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 25 January 2023: AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS) the leading facilitator of global trade, logistics, and industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tosyalı, one of Turkey’s largest private steel producers, which has operations in three continents.

The MoU looks to establish the framework for AD Ports Group to collaborate with Tosyalı on a broad range of shipping, logistics, ports, and freight forwarding services, including potentially jointly investing in new port facilities to support its export operations. 

With 30 manufacturing plants, including associates and joint ventures in Turkey, Algeria and Angola, Tosyalı has an annual manufacturing capacity of more than 10 million tonnes of steel, with significant volumes shipped to markets around the world. The company operates an organised industrial site at Iskenderun Port, Turkey, and is involved in the development of the new Erzin Port.

AD Ports Group expanded its shipping fleet and logistics operations in 2022 through a series of strategic acquisitions and joint ventures, positioning the company as an ideal partner for the fast-growing steel producer.

Executives are confident that the collaboration will contribute to the developing trade relationship between the UAE and Turkey, which saw non-oil trade between the two countries grow by 54 percent year-on-year in 2021 to AED 50.4 billion.

الاتفاقية تفتح آفاقاً واسعة للتعاون في مجالات الشحن والخدمات اللوجستية وخدمات وكلاء الشحن وإدارة الموانئ

 

أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة - 25 يناير 2023: وقعت مجموعة موانئ أبوظبي (ADX: ADPORTS)، المحرك الرائد للتجارة والصناعة والخدمات اللوجستية، اتفاقية مبدئية مع شركة توسيالي، إحدى أكبر منتجي الصلب من القطاع الخاص في تركيا والتي تدير عمليات واسعة في ثلاث قارات.

 

وتنص الاتفاقية على وضع إطار عمل لتعاون المجموعة مع توسيالي في نطاق واسع من الخدمات التي تشمل الشحن البحري والخدمات اللوجستية والموانئ وخدمات وكلاء الشحن، إلى جانب إمكانية قيام الجانبين بالاستثمار بشكل مشترك في مرافق مينائية جديدة لدعم عمليات التصدير الخاصة بشركة توسيالي.

 

وتقوم توسيالي من خلال مصانع الإنتاج الـ30 التابعة لها وشراكاتها ومشاريعها المشتركة في كل من تركيا والجزائر وأنغولا، بإنتاج أكثر من 10 ملايين طن سنوياً من الصلب، يتم شحن كميات كبيرة منها إلى أسواق مختلفة حول العالم، كما تشغل الشركة منشأة صناعية في ميناء اسكندرون التركي، وتشارك في أعمال تطوير ميناء إرزن الجديد.

 

وكانت مجموعة موانئ أبوظبي قد قامت بتوسيع أسطول الشحن التابع لها وعملياتها اللوجستية خلال عام 2022 عبر سلسلة من صفقات الاستحواذ والمشاريع المشتركة ما يجعلها شريكاً مثالياً لشركة توسيالي التي تشهد نمواً متسارعاً في عملياتها.

 

ويرى المسؤولون التنفيذيون بأن التعاون سيسهم في تعزيز العلاقات التجارية بين الإمارات وتركيا، إذ سجل حجم التبادل التجاري غير النفطي بين البلدين نمواً بلغ 54% على أساس سنوي في عام 2021 ليصل إلى 50.4 مليار درهم إماراتي.

 

وأعرب الكابتن محمد جمعة الشامسي، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة موانئ أبوظبي عن سعادته بتوقيع الاتفاقية مع توسيالي، المنتج الرائد للصلب في تركيا والأكبر في أفريقيا، وقال: "تتيح القدرات الكبيرة التي نتمتع بها تقديم مجموعة متكاملة من خدمات الشحن والخدمات اللوجستية وخدمات الموانئ والمدعومة بأحدث التقنيات المتطورة إلى متعاملين مثل شركة توسيالي".

 

وأضاف: "نحن ممتنون للدعم المستمر والتوجيهات الحكيمة لقيادتنا الرشيدة والتي تتيح لنا إمكانية إبرام اتفاقيات عالمية بهذا المستوى".

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, 25 January 2023: Formula E racing drivers Sam Bird, René Rast and Jake Hughes met some of Saudi Arabia’s biggest football heroes ahead of the 2023 CORE Diriyah E-Prix this weekend.

 

René Rast and Jake Hughes from NEOM McLaren Formula E team and Sam Bird from Jaguar TCS Racing joined a training session with reigning Saudi Pro League champions and 18-time winners Al Hilal for a kickabout in Riyadh.

 

The drivers got a chance to test their skills alongside the club’s first-team players including Saudi Arabia international Salem Al Dawsari, who scored the winner in the country’s 2-1 win against Argentina at the FIFA 2022 World Cup. They also met Saudi Arabia’s national captain Salman Al Faraj.

 

The 2023 CORE Diriyah E-Prix is a double-header of races in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship this Friday and Saturday. Rounds 2 and 3 take place on a street circuit surrounding the UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most picturesque locations on the 16-race calendar the only night races in the Formula E season.  

 

Fans attending the 2023 CORE Diriyah E-Prix will get their first look at the all-new GEN3 for the first time - the fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient electric race car ever built. Capable of 200mph / 322kph, the 22 drivers will push the world’s most advanced electric racing car to the limit as they navigate the 21-turn, 2.495km circuit.

 

As well as enjoying incredible on-track action, fans will get to enjoy electric performances from world-renowned artists, John Legend, French Montana, Miguel and DJ Martin Garrix who will be performing post-race concerts over the weekend.

 

Ticketholders can enjoy a full day of entertainment for the whole family in the Allianz Fan Village with racing simulators in the gaming arena, plus live music performances, street food and much more.
