The eight-month series will showcase Eight Chefs Over Eight Months, launching with the talented father-and-son duo George and William Jardine of Jardine Restaurant, Cape Town, on October 15th and 16th
Dubai, UAE (02 October 2025): Two of the world’s finest culinary creators are set to touch down at INA, J1 Beach’s elemental dining destination by Fundamental Hospitality, this October. This exciting gourmet experience is part of the dining destination’s Masters of Fire Chef Series, which runs over eight months and brings some of the world’s most celebrated chefs to Dubai, each crafting exclusive fire-led menus in collaboration with INA’s Chef Glen Ballis. The inaugural edition takes place on October 15th and 16th, headlined by award-winning Scottish-born chef George Jardine and his son William Jardine from Jardine Restaurant in Cape Town.
The Masters of Fire series celebrates the primal art of flame cooking, offering guests a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of fire-inspired cuisine. Across each of the eight editions, diners can expect one-of-a-kind menus that highlight seasonal produce, bold flavours, and elemental techniques, from grilling and braising to smoking and roasting. Each chef will bring their own distinctive style to INA’s iconic open-flame grill, transforming Dubai’s dining scene into a stage for global culinary collaboration.
For the first edition, guests will be treated to an extraordinary showcase by George Jardine, twice named Eat Out Chef of the Year and widely recognised as one of South Africa’s leading culinary figures. Known for his refined approach to South African fine dining, George has gained international acclaim for his mastery of seasonal ingredients, bold flavour combinations, and fire-led cooking techniques. His restaurant in Cape Town was recognised among the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, cementing his place on the global stage.
Joining him is his son William Jardine, a rising culinary talent at just 22 years old. Having honed his craft at The Kitchin in Edinburgh, Scotland’s first Michelin-starred restaurant, William brings fresh creativity and perspective, blending his international experience with his family’s deep-rooted passion for food. Together, the Jardines will present a collaborative fire-led tasting menu that fuses generational expertise, contemporary flair, and a shared love of cooking over flame.
Playing home to the unmissable series is INA, founded by internationally acclaimed Chef Glen Ballis and offering a high-energy wood-fired dining experience that celebrates the beauty of seasonal ingredients cooked over an open flame. With Dubai’s largest flame grill at its heart, the restaurant delivers a multi-sensory journey where instinct, fire, and creativity collide. Every dish reflects a back-to-basics yet elegant approach, balancing authenticity with refinement in an atmosphere alive with rhythm, flavour, and fire.
Speaking on the launch, Chef Glen Ballis shared, “The Masters of Fire series has been designed to create moments of collaboration, learning, and inspiration. Opening the series with George and William Jardine, who represent both experience and the next generation of culinary innovation, sets the perfect tone for what lies ahead. Fire is universal, and through this series we’re celebrating its power to connect chefs, cultures, and guests around the table.”
With even more global talent set to arrive in Dubai over the coming months, INA’s Masters of Fire series is shaping up to be one of the city’s most exciting culinary events. Diners are encouraged to book early and be part of this groundbreaking celebration of flame-led dining, beginning with George and William Jardine’s exclusive takeover on October 15th and 16th.
