Merchants Payments Theatre among exciting new initiatives at Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global 2015

Bankalararasi Kart Merkezi becomes host banking partner

A wide range of new features and workshops demonstrating the latest innovations and developments determining the future of payments will be unveiled at this year’s Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global, taking place at The Wyndham Grand Istanbul Levent on 1-3 December. The event is co-located with the Payments Security & Authentication Conference.

Launching this year, Merchant Payments Theatre is designed to help banks, merchants and mobile network operators understand the challenges and opportunities in a rapidly accelerating digital payments marketplace, how to convert browsers into buyers on-line and in-store and how to decide which payment channels are worth investing in when matching channel to consumer.
With global remittance set to surpass $500 billion this year, mobile-enabled payments are a rapidly growing sector of the market. The International Remittance Workshop, hosted by Terra and taking place on 1 December, will be a valuable opportunity to learn how mobile-enabled payments offer the potential to lower costs and increase convenience for low-value, cross-border donations. Pioneered in the African, South Asia and Middle East markets, the workshop will explain how mobile service providers are accelerating the shift from cash by mobilizing international person-to-person transfers.
The migration of payments transactions to public Internet and mobile IP networks has brought significant advantages to payment services, but also a need for reassurance about services and security. In response to this, the Internet Availability & Security Advice Centre, presented in partnership with IKI, will allow delegates to put their questions to internet payments security experts.

The latest innovative start-ups in the rapidly growing Turkish Fintech sector will be featured in the Payments Accelerator zone, an area specifically designed to showcase the brilliant start-up talent which is re-shaping the payments world in this dynamic market.
In an exciting new development, leading Turkish bank Bankalararasi Kart Merkezi has become host banking partner for the event. Joining other illustrious institutions such as Deutsche Telekom, the International Finance Corporation and the Russian Electronic Money Association, BKM will undoubtedly make a valuable contribution to the Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global conference and exhibition.

In addition, the Gaining Authorisation in Europe Workshop, sponsored by NeoPay, will outline the practical aspects of obtaining an e-money licence in Europe, avoiding unnecessary pitfalls and showing delegates how to remain on the right side of the regulator.
Delegates will also find a wide range of the latest innovations and solutions in the extensive exhibition. More than 40 leading payments providers including: ProgressSoft, Deutsche Telekom, Wirecard, Telepin Software, eServGlobal, Estel Technologies, Amdocs, FAMOCO, International Finance Corporation and TAMPF will be showcasing cutting edge developments in transactional technology.
Payments Dragons’ Den Global will feature for the second year, giving FinTechstart-ups the opportunity pitch their industry-disrupting ideas live to experts and investors. Organised in collaboration with StartersHub, the winner will be awarded a coveted place on their global accelerator programme, dedicated to helping businesses to develop and launch game-changing technology.
The industry renowned Global Payments Awards will now combine with Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global and Payments Security & Authentication Global to celebrate achievement across both areas.
