The University of Manchester strengthens its global standing in QS Subject Rankings
Dubai, UAE – 21 April, 2026: The University of Manchester has recorded significant improvement across multiple disciplines in the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject, achieving four subjects ranked in the world’s top 10, 15 in the global top 25, and 45 in the top 100. This milestone strengthens the University’s global standing and reinforces its role in delivering internationally recognised education that supports the Middle East’s ambition to build a highly skilled workforce.
The rankings assess institutions across 55 disciplines and five broad subject areas, using indicators such as academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact, and international collaboration. With a growing base of working professionals and students seeking flexible pathways to advance their careers, global rankings provide an important benchmark for identifying institutions that deliver both academic credibility and practical learning.
In the individual subject rankings, the University was assessed across 46 disciplines. Of these, 20 subjects improved their position. Additionally, several disciplines delivered particularly strong performances. For instance, Geography advanced into the global top 10, while Anatomy & Physiology moved into the top 25 worldwide. Significant increases were also recorded in Medicine (up seven places to 26), Modern Languages (up seven places to 28), Physics (up 15 places to 34), Education (up 10 places to 35), and Dentistry (up to 48).
The detailed subject results demonstrate the University’s academic strength across a diverse range of fields, with four subjects ranking among the global top 10, and 34 placed within the top 50 worldwide. A further 19 subjects are ranked between 50 and 100, and a total of 45 subjects are ranked in the global top 100. Among the highest-performing disciplines are Development Studies and Architecture, both ranked 5th globally, alongside Geography (9th) and Nursing (10th).

The University of Manchester was ranked 35th in the QS World University Rankings, 2025 (6th in the UK) and 46th in the Academic Ranking of World Universities, 2025. جامعة مانشستر تعزّز حضورها في تصنيف "كيو إس" العالمي للتخصصاتدبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – 21 أبريل 2026: أعلنت جامعة مانشستر تحقيق تقدّم لافت عبر مجموعة واسعة من التخصصات ضمن تصنيف "كيو إس" العالمي للجامعات حسب التخصصات لعام 2026، حيث أدرج التصنيف أربعة تخصصات ضمن أفضل 10 عالمياً، و15 تخصصاً ضمن أفضل 25 عالمياً، و45 تخصصاً ضمن أفضل 100. ويؤكد هذا الإنجاز تنامي مكانة الجامعة على الساحة الأكاديمية الدولية، ويعزّز دورها في تقديم تعليم عالمي المستوى يدعم طموحات الشرق الأوسط في بناء قوى عاملة كفؤة. واستند التصنيف في تقييمه للمؤسسات الأكاديمية عبر 55 تخصصاً وخمسة مجالات رئيسية إلى مؤشرات تشمل السمعة الأكاديمية، وسمعة الجامعة لدى أصحاب العمل، وأثر الأبحاث والتعاون الدولي. ومع تزايد أعداد المهنيين العاملين والطلبة الباحثين عن مسارات تعليمية مرنة تسهم في الارتقاء بمساراتهم المهنية، تعتبر التصنيفات العالمية مرجعاً معيارياً يساعد على تحديد المؤسسات التي تجمع بين الصرامة الأكاديمية والتعلم التطبيقي. وشمل تقييم التخصصات الفردية إدراج الجامعة ضمن 46 تخصصاً، مع تحسّن ترتيب 20 تخصصاً منها. وحققت عدة تخصصات أداء بارزاً، إذ تقدّم تخصص الجغرافيا إلى قائمة العشرة الأوائل عالمياً، وارتقى تخصص التشريح وعلم وظائف الأعضاء إلى قائمة أفضل 25 عالمياً. كما سجّل التصنيف مكاسب ملحوظة في تخصصات الطب (بسبعة مراكز إلى المرتبة 26)، واللغات الحديثة (بسبعة مراكز إلى المرتبة 28)، والفيزياء (بـ 15 مركزاً إلى المرتبة 34)، والتربية (بـ 10 مراكز إلى المرتبة 35)، وطب الأسنان (إلى المرتبة 48). وأظهرت النتائج التفصيلية تنامي الحضور الأكاديمي للجامعة عبر تخصصات متعددة، إذ حلّت أربعة تخصصات ضمن أفضل 10 عالمياً، وجاء 34 تخصصاً ضمن أفضل 50 عالمياً. وتمركزت 19 تخصصاً إضافياً بين المرتبتين 50 و100، ليبلغ إجمالي التخصصات المصنفة ضمن أفضل 100 عالمياً 45 تخصصاً. وتصدّرت أعلى التخصصات أداءً دراسات التنمية والعمارة بحلولها خامساً عالمياً لكل منهما، إلى جانب الجغرافيا (المرتبة 9) والتمريض (المرتبة 10). ومع دخول جامعة مانشستر – دبي عامها العشرين في المنطقة، تواصل الجامعة تمكين آلاف المهنيين العاملين من تطوير مساراتهم المهنية عبر برامج ماجستير عالمية المستوى، وبرامج التعليم التنفيذي، ونهج تعليمي قائم على البحث العلمي. وتحافظ الجامعة على تركيز راسخ على تطوير القيادات، وتواصل مساهمتها في دعم مسارات التقدم الاقتصادي والمجتمعي الأوسع في المنطقة. وتعليقاً على هذا الموضوع، قالت رندة بسيسو، الرئيس التنفيذي والرئيس المؤسس للشرق الأوسط في جامعة مانشستر – دبي: "تؤدي التصنيفات العالمية، مثل ‘كيو إس’، دوراً محورياً في توجيه الطلبة نحو المؤسسات التي تثبت تميزاً أكاديمياً مستداماً وتدعم التقدّم المهني، في ظل استمرار نمو الطلب على تعليم عالي الجودة ومعترف به عالمياً. وتعكس النتائج التي حققناها التزام زملائنا الراسخ بالتعليم والبحث والابتكار عبر نطاق واسع من التخصصات". وأضافت: "نواصل في جامعة مانشستر – دبي رصد اهتمام قوي من المهنيين الباحثين عن برامج تتوافق مع أولويات المنطقة، وتحافظ في الوقت ذاته على أعلى المعايير الأكاديمية العالمية. وبناءً على ذلك، نجدد التزامنا بتعزيز منظومتنا الأكاديمية دعماً لتطوير مواهب جاهزة للمستقبل، وإسهاماً في تنمية المهارات على المدى الطويل في مختلف أنحاء الشرق الأوسط". وحلّت جامعة مانشستر في المرتبة 35 ضمن تصنيف "كيو إس" العالمي للجامعات لعام 2025 (السادسة على مستوى المملكة المتحدة)، وفي المرتبة 46 ضمن "التصنيف الأكاديمي لجامعات العالم" لعام 2025. وحققت الجامعة كذلك إدراج 10 تخصصات ضمن أفضل 100 في تصنيف التايمز للتعليم العالي للجامعات حسب التخصصات لعام 2026.
