Schneider Electric exceeds its 2024 Sustainability target and approaches the end of its current program

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 24, 2025 – Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today published details of its sustainability performance for the final quarter of 2024, alongside its full-year financial results. The company’s Sustainability Impact (SSI) score reached 7.55 out of ten, surpassing the 2024 end-year target of 7.40. Monitoring and reporting on the 11 global commitments of its SSI’s quarterly progress is fundamental to achieving the company’s goals tied to all dimensions of environmental, social, and governance (ESG).
“In 2024, Schneider Electric was recognized by TIME and Statista as the World’s Most Sustainable Company. Earlier this year, we were honored to receive the same recognition from Corporate Knights as part of its Global
100 ranking – marking our second time topping this list and a first for any corporation. These remarkable achievements, alongside other key ESG recognitions inspire us to reach even greater heights in 2025,” said Chris Leong, Chief Sustainability Officer at Schneider Electric. “As we enter the final year of our Sustainability Impact program, we are determined to continue transforming ambition into action. Schneider Electric continues to make consistent strides each quarter towards its goals of reducing the carbon footprint of its customers. Since 2018, its energy-saving products, software, and services have enabled customers to save and avoid 679 million tonnes of CO2. The 1,000 top suppliers engaged in Schneider’s Zero Carbon Project have made notable progress in adopting energy efficiency initiatives and shifting to renewable energy, leading to an overall reduction in supplier emissions of 40% by the end of 2024.
Schneider Electric’s suppliers are also committed to upholding decent work standards, ensuring fair wages, safe work environments, and improved labor conditions. Within just one year, the percentage of suppliers meeting Schneider Electric’s rigorous standards has surged from 21% at the end of 2023 to 63% by the end of 2024.
This commitment to ethical practices goes hand in hand with Schneider Electric's broader mission to make a positive impact globally. A year ahead of schedule, over 53.4 million people have now access to clean and reliable electricity exceeding the SSI ambition of 50 million. Schneider's rural electrification projects, including solar microgrids in Africa, transform lives by enhancing the quality of life of local communities and supporting local economies. At the end of 2024, Schneider Electric had also trained over 824,000 people in energy management, moving closer to its goal of one million by the end of 2025. Through its Youth Education & Entrepreneurship program, Schneider equips young people with essential skills in energy efficiency, preparing them for careers in sustainable industries.
In addition to these accomplishments, for the 14th consecutive year, Schneider Electric has been included in the DJSI World Index, achieved a place on CDP’s A list, and earned a AAA rating from MSCI ESG. Schneider's latest score from EcoVadis also secured a Platinum medal.

شنايدر إلكتريك تتجاوز هدفها للاستدامة لعام 2024 وتقترب من إنجاز كامل برنامجها للتأثير المستدام

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، 24 فبراير 2025 – أعلنت شنايدر إلكتريك، الشركة الرائدة عالمياً في مجال التحول الرقمي لإدارة الطاقة والأتمتة، اليوم تجاوز أهدافها التي وضعتها في مجال الاستدامة لعام 2024، بعد إصدارها تقرير أداء الاستدامة للربع الأخير من العام الماضي، مع نتائجها المالية السنوية.
وحققت الشركة على "مؤشر تأثير الاستدامة من شنايدر" نتيجة 7.55 من 10، متجاوزةً بذلك هدفها الذي حددته لنهاية العام 2024 والبالغ 7.40. وترصد التقارير التي تصدرها شنايدر تقدمها في تحقيق التزاماتها العالمية الـ 11 في مجال الاستدامة، كما تعمل على تقييم التقدم المُحرز بشكل ربع سنوي في مؤشر "تأثير الاستدامة"، لما فيه تحقيق الأهداف المرتبطة بالحوكمة البيئية والاجتماعية.
وقالت كريس ليونج، الرئيسة التنفيذية للاستدامة في شنايدر إلكتريك: "تم في عام 2024 تكريم شنايدر إلكتريك لكونها الشركة الأكثر استدامة في العالم بحسب تقييم مجلة "تايم" ومؤسسة "ستاتيستا". وفي وقت سابق من العام الحالي، حصلنا على التكريم نفسه من قبل مؤسسة "كوربريت نايتس" ضمن قائمة الشركات الـ100 الأكثر استدامة عالمياً، وتصدّرنا للمرة الثانية هذه القائمة، في إنجاز غير مسبوق. هذه الإنجازات النوعية والتكريمات الأخرى في مجال الحوكمة البيئية والاجتماعية والمؤسسية تلهمنا للوصول إلى مستويات أعلى في العام 2025". وأضافت: "مع دخولنا العام الأخير لبرنامجنا "تأثير الاستدامة"، نحن مصممون على مواصلة تحويل الطموح إلى واقع. ورغم أن أمامنا الكثير من العمل، سنحقّق النجاح، بدعم من منظومتنا المتكاملة وكوادرنا وصنّاع التأثير لدينا."
وتواصل "شنايدر إلكتريك" تحقيق خطوات ثابتة ومتسقة في اتجاه أهدافها المتمثلة بتخفيض البصمة الكربونية لعملائها. فمنذ العام 2018، مكّنت منتجاتها وبرامجها وخدماتها الموفرة للطاقة، عملاءها من تجنب 679 مليون طن من ثاني أكسيد الكربون. وحقق كبار الموردين المشاركين في مشروع شنايدر للحياد الكربوني، والبالغ عددهم 1000 مورد، تقدماً ملموساً في تبني مبادرات كفاءة الطاقة والتحول إلى الطاقة المتجددة، مما قاد إلى انخفاض إجمالي في انبعاثات الموردين بنسبة 40% بحلول نهاية العام 2024.
ويلتزم مورّدو شنايدر أيضًا بمعايير العمل اللائق، وضمان الأجور العادلة، وبيئات العمل الآمنة، وتحسين ظروف العمل. وفي عام واحد فقط، ارتفعت نسبة الموردين الذين يستوفون معايير شنايدر من 21% في نهاية العام 2023 إلى 63% بحلول نهاية العام 2024.
يتماشى هذا الالتزام بأخلاقيات الأعمال مع رسالة شنايدر إلكتريك لإحداث تأثير إيجابي على مستوى العالم. وقبل عام من الموعد المحدد لإكمال برنامج "تأثير الاستدامة من شنايدر"، أصبح بإمكان أكثر من 53.4 مليون شخص حاليًا الحصول على كهرباء نظيفة وموثوقة، وهو ما يتجاوز هدف البرنامج المحدد مسبقاً والبالغ 50 مليون. وتسهم مشاريع "شنايدر إلكتريك" لنشر الكهرباء في الريف، بما في ذلك الشبكات الصغيرة العاملة بالطاقة الشمسية في أفريقيا، في تغيير حياة الناس من خلال تحسين نوعية العيش في المجتمعات المحلية ودعم الاقتصادات الوطنية.
ومع حلول نهاية العام 2024، استطاعت شنايدر إلكتريك تدريب أكثر من 824,000 شخص في مجال إدارة الطاقة، مقتربةً بذلك من هدفها المتمثل في الوصول إلى تدريب مليون شخص بحلول نهاية العام 2025. ومن خلال برنامجها لتعليم الشباب وريادة الأعمال، تزوّد "شنايدر إلكتريك" الشباب بالمهارات الأساسية في مجال كفاءة الطاقة، وتمكّنهم بالمعرفة للعمل المهني في الصناعات المستدامة.
كما أدرجت شنايدر إلكتريك للعام الرابع عشر على التوالي في مؤشر داو جونز العالمي، وحجزت مكانًا لها في قائمة الدرجة الأولى (A) ضمن برنامج التنمية النظيفة، وحصلت على تصنيف متفوّق (AAA) من قبل مؤشر "مورجان ستانلي كابيتال انترناشونال" بخصوص الحوكمة البيئية والاجتماعية. كما منحت "إيكوفاديس" الميدالية البلاتينية لشنايدر إلكتريك لقاء ممارساتها المستدامة.
