Suez Canal Authority calls for Egyptian public to offer its gratitude as launch date nears.
Cairo, Egypt – July20th , 2015:Today, the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) launched an online platform where people can send their thanks to the workers of the New Suez Canal.
As the launch date of the New Canal draws closer, and the Egyptians continue to strive towards completing the project in an unprecedented timeframe, the SCA has encouraged the public to show their gratitude by sending a text or audio message of support.
The messages will be shared on the New Suez Canal campaign website and be viewed by people the world over.
“The people working on the canal have demonstrated such resilience over the past 12 months by showing the world what can be achieved when a nation comes together and works towards a common goal,” said Admiral Mohab Mameesh, Chairman and Managing Director of the Suez Canal Authority.
. “For this reason, as well as many others, they truly deserve to be thanked for their efforts.”

“The New Suez Canal is more than just a new waterway and an astonishing feat of engineering. It is a catalyst for the Egyptian people which will unleash a renewed sense of pride and a more prosperous future,”Added Mameesh.
He added: “The project is more than 97% complete, and climbing as we speak, with more than 260milliontons of sand excavated, so our attention is now turning to the celebration of this achievement with the Egyptian people, as well as sharing news of Egypt’s ‘gift to the world’ far and wide.”
The ‘Say Thanks’ campaign aims to boost the morale of those still working relentlessly in order to meet the launch date on the 6th of August.

إطلاق حملة "رسالة شكر"لتكريم جهود العاملين بقناة السويس الجديدة
تدعو هيئة قناة السويس الجمهور المصري للتعبير عن امتنانه مع اقتراب موعد افتتاح القناة.
القاهرة ـ20يوليو،٢٠١٥: أطلقت هيئة قناة السويس اليوم منبراً على الإنترنت يتيح للجمهور إرسال رسائل شكر للعاملين بقناة السويس الجديدة.
ومع اقتراب موعد افتتاح القناة الجديدة واستمرار جهود المصريين لاستكمال المشروع في إطار زمني غير مسبوق، قامت هيئة قناة السويس بتشجيع الجمهور للتعبير عن امتنانهم من خلال إرسال رسائل نصية أو مسجلة تعبر عن دعمهم.
وسوف يتم مشاركة هذه الرسائل على موقع حملة قناة السويس الجديدة ليشاهدها الناس في جميع أنحاء العالم.
ولقد أشارالفريق مهاب مميش، رئيس هيئة قناة السويس والعضو المنتدب، "لقد أظهر العاملون في القناة على مدى الإثنى عشر شهراً الماضية صموداً وتحدياً للمستحيلمن خلال إبهار العالم بما يمكن أن تحققه أمة عندما تتكاتف وتعمل نحوتحقيق هدف واحد".وأضاف "لهذا السبب، فضلاً عن العديد من الأسباب الأخرى، هم حقاً يستحقون الشكر على جهودهم."

وعلق قائلاً، " أكثر من 97٪ من المشروع قد اكتمل وتتصاعد الأرقام حيثتم حفر واستخراج أكثر من 260 مليون طن من الرمال، لذا آن لنا الآن أن نوجه اهتمامنا للاحتفال بهذا الإنجاز مع جموع الشعب المصري بالإضافة إلى مشاركه أخبار هذه الهدية التي تهديها مصر إلى العالم أجمع."
وتهدف حملة "رسالة شكر" إلى تعزيز الروح المعنوية للذين ما زالوا يعملون بلا كلل من أجل الانتهاء في الموعد المحدد للافتتاح في السادس من أغسطس.
