In the framework of the working visit to Cairo, the Minister of Industry and Trade of The Russian Federation Denis Manturov has assessed the state and prospects of cooperation in the pharmaceutical field, in particular, the possibility of establishing joint ventures in Egypt.
Pharmaceuticals is one of the promising directions of bilateral cooperation, in which Russia intends to reach a whole new level of interaction.
"Taking into account the strategic position of Egypt in the region we are considering the possibility of setting up joint ventures, and subsequently the development of new drugs based on using researches and potential of Egyptian pharmaceutical companies in the Egyptian market. There are about 120 such companies", – said the Head of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov.
According to Denis Manturov, Egypt interacts with a large number of countries with which it has preferential forms of cooperation, and “we believe that entering the Egyptian market, we are able to provide supplies to other countries with a total population of 1.5 billion people."
