Cairo, Egypt, 14 September 2014
JT
international (JTI), announced the launch of its leading cigarette brand
“Winston” in the Egyptian market this week. Winston cigarettes will be
available in three versions: Red Winston “Classic”, Blue Winston and Silver
Winston. The launch of Winston in the local market follows the company signing a
production agreement with Eastern Company.
With
solid presence in more than 100 countries, Winston is the second largest
cigarette brand in the world. The global cigarette brand tops the sales in many
global markets including Russia and Turkey, and is the fastest growing
cigarette brand in the Saudi and Gulf markets. JTI will begin distributing
Winston in Cairo and Giza this week, with a dedicated plan to distribute it
throughout Egypt by the end of September. The company announced that the retail
price of Winston cigarettes is EGP 14 per pack, which stresses JTI’s commitment
to the cigarette pricing list issued by the Egyptian Tax Authority.
