BP Egypt today announced first gas from the
DEKA project offshore Egypt with the start of production from the Denise
South-6 well at an initial rate of 50 million cubic feet per day (mmscf/d). The
DEKA project is centred on the Denise and Karawan gas fields in Temsah
Concession in the East Nile Delta and will supply the country’s domestic
market.

The DEKA project is a group of gas
discoveries being developed through 5 subsea wells including the Plio-1 C well in
the Temsah concession, the installation of subsea production systems together
with sealines and gas processing at the onshore El Gamil Gas Plant onshore. It uses
existing infrastructure from the Seth field (BP 50% interest), the Temsah pliocene
export pipeline and El Gamil gas terminal infrastructure. DEKA is expected to
deliver 230 mmscf/d of gas at peak from early 2015 from the five wells
including Plio-1 C.
The Denise South 6 well is approximately 65
kilometres north of Port Said, in 100 metres of water.
BP and ENI each
hold a 50% interest in the Temsah concession. DEKA is operated by the Petrobel joint
venture.

production from existing discoveries.
The West Nile Delta (WND) Major Project is a
strategic project for BP and its partner RWE and is also extremely critical to
Egypt as it would avail more than one billion cubic feet per day (25% of Egypt
current production).
BP is a 33% shareholder of an NGL plant
extracting LPG and Propane, United Gas Derivatives Company (UGDC) in
partnership with ENI/IEOC and GASCO (the Egyptian midstream gas distribution
company).
BP is also present in the downstream sector
through Natural Gas Vehicles Company (NGVC, BP 40%) which was established in
September 1995 as the first company in Africa and the Middle East to
commercialize natural gas as an alternative fuel for vehicles.

في مصر
أعلنت
شركة بي بي مصر اليوم عن بدء إنتاج الغاز من مشروع "ديكا" بمصر من بئر "جنوب
دينيس 6"، بمعدل 50 مليون قدم مكعب في اليوم. ويتركز مشروع "ديكا"
في حقلى غاز دينيس وكروان في منطقة إتفاقية التمساح في شرق دلتا النيل، وسيقوم
بالتوريد إلى السوق المحلي المصري.
وصرح
هشام مكاوي، الرئيس الإقليمي لشركة بي بي شمال أفريقيا قائلاً: "أن مشروع "ديكا"
هو مثال آخر لإلتزام شركة بي بي تجاه مصر والشراكة المصرية طويلة الأمد. ونتطلع
إلى مواصلة القيام بدور رئيسي في تنمية قطاع الطاقة المصري، وتعظيم استخدام
مواردنا القائمة للمساعدة في الوفاء باحتياجات الطاقة المتنامية لسنوات عديدة
قادمة".
مشروع
"ديكا" يمثل مجموعة من اكتشافات الغاز الجاري تنميتها من خلال 5 آبار تحت
سطح البحر، ويشمل بئر "بيلو 1 سي" [ في منطقة إتفاقية التمساح ] وتركيب
أنظمة إنتاج تحت سطح البحر مع خطوط بحرية ومعالجة الغاز في مصنع غاز الجميل البري.
تـستخدم
البنية التحتية الحالية من حقل "سيث" (المملوكة لبي بي بنسبة 50٪) وخطوط
مواسير تصدير غاز التمساح والبنية التحتية لمجمع غاز الجميل. ومن المتوقع أن يقوم
مشروع "ديكا" بتسليم 230 مليون قدم مكعب من الغاز عند أقصى طاقة إنتاج بدءا
من الشهور الأولى لعام 2015 من الآبار الخمسة بما فيها "بيلو 1 سي". ويقع
بئر "جنوب دينيس 6" على مسافة 65 كيلومتر تقريباً من شمال بورسعيد، على
عمق 100 متر تحت سطح البحر. وتمتلك كل من شركة بي بي وشركة إيني حصة قدرها 50٪ من
اتفاقية منطقة التمساح. وتقوم بتشغيل مشروع "ديكا" الشركة المشتركة بتروبل.

إنتاج الغاز المصري. وتعمل شركة بي بي مصر على الوفاء بالاحتياجات المتنامية للسوق
المحلي المصري بالاستكشاف النشط في دلتا النيل والاستثمار لإضافة الإنتاج من
الاكتشافات القائمة.
يعد
المشروع الكبير شرق دلتا النيل مشروعاً استراتيجياً بالنسبة لشركة بي بي وشريكتها
"آر دبليو اي ديا" وهو على درجة عالية من الأهمية بالنسبة لمصر لأنه سيضيف
أكثر من مليار قدم مكعب من الغاز في اليوم (25٪ من الإنتاج المصري الحالي) .
تمتلك
شركة بي بي 33٪ من أسهم مصنع إسالة الغاز الطبيعي لاستخلاص الغاز البترولي المسال
وغاز البروبان، الشركة المتحدة لمشتقات الغاز، بالشراكة مع شركة إيني/أيوك وشركة
جاسكو (الشركة المصرية لتوزيع الغاز).
كما
أن شركة بي بي موجودة في قطاع التسويق من خلال شركة الغاز الطبيعي للسيارات (والمملوكة
لشركة بي بي بنسبة 40٪) والتي تأسست في سبتمبر عام 1995 كأول شركة في أفريقيا
والشرق الأوسط لتسويق الغاز الطبيعي كوقود بديل للسيارات .
