Joint efforts to
enhance quality of learning & build more globally competitive generation

Hamdan Bin Mohammed
e-University (HBMeU) announced today (Tuesday, December 10, 2013) that it has
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Fujairah College to define a
comprehensive framework aimed at enhancing mutual cooperation and coordination.
The framework will help the institutions achieve the common goal of providing premium
quality education needed to build a new generation of highly competitive and competent
individuals capable of engaging effectively in a globalized economy.
The signing
ceremony was attended by Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMeU, and H.E.
Saeed Mohammed Al-Raqbani, Special Advisor to H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al
Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah and Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Chairman of
the Board of Trustees of Fujairah College. A group of senior officials and
managers from the two institutions attended as well.
The two parties
agreed to establish channels of cooperation in areas related to scientific
research, academic activities and the creation of libraries. Their agreement
will also facilitate the sharing of technical know-how for exchanging print and
online educational resources and academic and learning expertise to develop
high-quality programmes for driving comprehensive development in the UAE. Moreover,
given HBMeU’s extensive expertise and its position as an educational institution
of choice in the UAE and the Arab World, it will also be able to offer best
practices and the latest state-of-the-art technologies in distance education
and e-learning to Fujairah College.
H.E. Al-Raqbani
said: “We are delighted to have signed the MoU with HBMeU, the first e-learning
institute in the Arab World. The new partnership is of particular importance as
it sets the stage for achieving excellence in the delivery of high-quality
education necessary to address the cultural developmental needs of the UAE. We
are confident that working with a prestigious institution such as the HBMeU
will spur research and academic programmes in line with the latest innovations
in knowledge-based technologies.”
Dr. Al Awar pointed
out that the newly signed MoU with Fujairah College is part of HBMeU’s
commitment to establish solid and strategic partnerships with leading local,
regional and international academic institutions aimed at enhancing education
in the UAE and around the region. He further added that the strategic
partnership will help create effective channels for the exchange of academic,
technical and learning expertise, and will encourage investment in scientific
research and modern-day knowledge sharing amongst learners in line with the
UAE’s transformation into a knowledge economy.
“We are looking to collaborate
with Fujairah College in various areas of common interest, including research
studies, training, rehabilitation, and knowledge transfer, among others. On our
part, we will spare no efforts to establish fruitful partnerships to realize
our vision of providing inclusive and high-standard education. This is an
important step in building a socially and academically qualified generation
capable of engaging in the highly competitive job market, as stipulated by the
directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown
Prince of Dubai and President of HBMeU,” Dr. Al Awar concluded.
According to the
new agreement, the two sides will work closely to facilitate the exchange of
expertise and experiences related to academic accreditation by the UAE Ministry
of Higher Education and Scientific Research, enhance academic programme quality,
and pursue other relevant matters of common interest. Furthermore, under the
terms of the agreement, the two sides will also promote each other’s seminars,
initiatives, conferences, interactive workshops and awareness programmes.

و"كلية الفجيرة" لتشجيع البحث العلمي ونقل المعرفة

وقعت "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الإلكترونية" (HBMeU) اليوم (الثلاثاء 10 كانون الأوّل/ديسمبر 2013) مذكرة تفاهم مع "كلية الفجيرة" في خطوة
تهدف إلى تحديد إطار عمل شامل لتعزيز
التعاون والتنسيق لضمان تحقيق الأهداف والتطلعات المشتركة في توفير تعليم عالي
الجودة لإعداد جيل جديد على درجة عالية من التنافسية للتعامل بفعالية
مع المعطيات المعاصرة والاقتصاد العالمي. ووقّع اتفاقية التعاون الدكتور منصور
العور، رئيس "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الإلكترونية"، ومعالي سعيد محمد
الرقباني، المستشار الخاص لصاحب السمو الشيخ حمد بن محمد الشرقي، عضو المجلس
الأعلى حاكم الفجيرة ورئيس مجلس أمناء كلية الفجيرة، بحضور عدد من كبار المسؤولين
والمديرين من الجانبين.
واتفق
الطرفان على تفعيل قنوات التعاون لإرساء إطار عمل مشترك في مجال الأنشطة البحثية والعلمية
والأكاديمية والمكتبات، فضلاً عن توفير الدعم التقني والإلكتروني وتبادل المصادر
التعليمية الإلكترونية والمطبوعة والخبرات الأكاديمية والتدريسية والفنية لتطوير
برامج عالية الجودة تصب في خدمة مسيرة التنمية الشاملة التي تنتهجها دولة
الإمارات. وتلتزم "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الإلكترونية" بتزويد "كلية
الفجيرة" بأفضل الممارسات وأحدث التقنيات المتقدّمة في مجال التعلّم عن بعد
والتعليم الإلكتروني استناداً إلى خبرتها الواسعة ومكانتها الريادية باعتبارها الخيار
الأكاديمي الأول في الإمارات والعالم العربي.
من جانبه، قال معالي سعيد

بمكانة ريادية باعتبارها أوّل مؤسسة أكاديمية متخصصة بالتعليم الإلكتروني في

الاستراتيجية الجديدة في كونها نواة للانطلاق نحو مستوى جديد من التميز في توفير
تعليم عالي الجودة وقادر على تلبية الاحتياجات الناشئة بالتزامن مع مسيرة النهضة
الحضارية الشاملة التي تقودها دولة الإمارات. ونحن على ثقة تامة بأنّ التعاون مع
مؤسسة مرموقة مثل "جامعة حمدان بن محمد الإلكترونية" سيثمر نتائج
إيجابية للغاية على مستوى تشجيع النشاطات البحثية وتطوير البرامج الأكاديمية وفق
أفضل أساليب التعليم المبتكرة وأحدث التقنيات المتقدمة والمتبعة ضمن مختلف حقول المعرفة."

الدكتور منصور العور أنّ
مذكرة التفاهم مع "كلية الفجيرة" تندرج في إطار حرص "جامعة حمدان
بن محمد الإلكترونية" على تأسيس شراكات استراتيجية
متينة مع أبرز المؤسسات الأكاديمية الرائدة على المستوى المحلي والإقليمي والدولي في
سبيل تعزيز العمل المشترك للارتقاء بجودة التعليم في الإمارات والعالم العربي. وأضاف
العور بأنّ الشراكة الاستراتيجية الجديدة تمثل أساساً متيناً لخلق قنوات فاعلة
لتبادل الخبرات الأكاديمية والفنية والتعليمية وتعزيز الاستثمار في البحث العلمي ونشر
المعرفة الحديثة بين أوساط الدارسين لضمان تأهيلهم بالشكل الأمثل
بما يواكب مسيرة التحوّل نحو اقتصاد المعرفة.
وختم العور: "يسعدنا مد جسور التواصل مع "كلية الفجيرة" في
مختلف المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك لا سيّما الدراسات البحثية والتدريب والتأهيل

المزيد من الفرص الواعدة التي من شأنها تجسيد رؤيتنا المتمحورة حول توفير التعليم أمام

إجتماعياً وأكاديمياً للإندماج في أسواق العمل ذات التنافسية العالية
تماشياً مع توجيهات سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي الرئيس
الأعلى للجامعة."
وبموجب
الشراكة الاستراتيجية الجديدة، سيقوم الجانبان بتسهيل نقل المعرفة وتبادل الخبرات
والتجارب المتعلقة بالاعتماد الأكاديمي من قبل وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي
في الإمارات وجودة البرامج الأكاديمية وغيرها من القضايا الأخرى ذات الاهتمام
المشترك. كما تنطوي الاتفاقية أيضاً على المشاركة في الترويج لمحفظة الندوات
والمبادرات والمؤتمرات وورش العمل التفاعلية والدورات التدريبية والبرامج التوعوية
المقامة لدى كلٍ منهما.
