DGCX EOS trader platform also wins
‘Best Technology Innovation’ award
Dubai, December 17, 2013: Dubai
Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) emerged as a big winner at the Futures
& Options World International Awards held this week, picking up two major
industry awards. DGCX was named the “Exchange of the Year 2013” in the Middle East and Africa and its EOS
trader platform was recognized as the “Best Technology Innovation by an
Exchange” in Asia, Australasia, Middle East and Africa.
This is the second time in two
months that DGCX has been recognised by FOW for its growth and innovation. DGCX
was also named “Emerging Exchange of the Year” at the FOW Asia awards, held in
Singapore in September 2013.

Officer, DGCX, said, “We are delighted to receive these prestigious global
accolades from FOW, which reflect not only the remarkable growth DGCX has
witnessed, but also the unique products, superior technology and strategic
initiatives we introduced to support the trading needs of the region. 2013 has
been one of the most fruitful years for the Exchange with us diversifying our
product mix by listing Sensex Futures and launching an advanced technology infrastructure to
meet the sophisticated trading requirements of our members.”
DGCX’s product portfolio covers a
diverse range of indices, energy, precious metals, base metals and currencies.
These include the world’s first Indian Rupee as well as the first Copper and
Sensex futures contracts in the Middle East. The Exchange is also expected to
launch its plastics futures contract early next year – which will be the first
ever plastics contract to be listed in the MENA region.
DGCX’s Year-To-Date volumes grew
51% from last year, trading over 12.9 million contracts so far in 2013.

دبي، 17 ديسمبر 2013: خلال حفل توزيع الجوائز
الذي أقامته مجلة "FOW" العالمية هذا الأسبوع،
حصدت بورصة دبي للذهب والسلع جائزة "أفضل بورصة" في منطقة الشرق الأوسط
وإفريقيا لعام 2013، كما فازت منصة التداول التابعة لها "EOS"
بجائزة "أفضل ابتكار تكنولوجي على صعيد البورصات" في منطقة آسيا
وأستراليا والشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا.
ويصادف هذا التكريم
المرة الثانية الذي تقوم فيه مجلة "FOW" خلال شهرين بتكريم بورصة دبي تقديراً
لنموها وابتكاراتها، حيث قدمت لها سابقاً جائزة "أفضل بورصة
ناشئة" في قارة آسيا لعام 2013 خلال حفل جوائزها الذي عقدته في سبتمبر الماضي
في سنغافورة.
وفي هذه المناسبة، قال غاري أندرسون، الرئيس التنفيذي لبورصة دبي
للذهب والسلع: "نحن فخورون بالفوز بهاتين الجائزتين العالميتين المرموقتين من
قبل FOW، ما يعكس
النمو الملحوظ الذي حققته البورصة وماقدمناه من منتجات متميزة وتكنولوجيا متطورة
ومبادرات استراتيجية لدعم متطلبات التداول في المنطقة. لقد كان 2013 واحداً من أكثر الأعوام الحافلة بالإنجازات بالنسبة
لنا، حيث قامت بورصة دبي للذهب والسلع بتنويع محفظة منتجاتها بإدراج عقود مؤشر سينسكس
وعقود الروبية الهندية المصغرة وإطلاق بنية تحتية تكنولوجية متطورة
لتلبية متطلبات التداول لأعضائها".
وتغطي محفظة منتجات بورصة
دبي للذهب والسلع مجموعة متنوعة من المؤشرات، ومنتجات الطاقة، والمعادن الثمينة، والمعادن
الأساسية والعملات. ويشمل ذلك أول عقود للروبية الهندية في العالم، وكذلك أول عقود
للنحاس وعقود سينسكس الآجلة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط. وتعتزم البورصة أيضاً في مطلع العام
المقبل إطلاق عقود البلاستيك الآجلة التي ستكون أول عقود لمنتجات البلاستيك يتم إدراجها في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.
وفي إشارة إلى أدائها،
شهدت بورصة دبي للذهب والسلع منذ بداية العام 2013 نمواً في أحجام العقود
المتداولة بمعدل 51٪ مقارنة مع الفترة ذاتها من العام الماضي، وذلك بتداول تجاوز
12.9 مليون عقد حتى الآن.
