ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Janus Henderson today announced the successful second close of its Shariah-compliant direct lending vehicle Janus Henderson MENA Private Credit Fund IV, securing $191 million in investor commitments towards its $300 million target. The close marks a significant milestone for the firm’s expansion of tailored financing solutions.

The second close was supported by institutional investors and family offices in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, reflecting the growing role of private credit as regional companies seek flexible sources of financing beyond traditional bank lending and capital markets.

Private credit is becoming an increasingly established part of the GCC financing landscape. The region's expanding economies, heightened investment activity and increasingly sophisticated corporate sector are creating demand for flexible financing solutions, particularly for mid-market companies and transactions requiring tailored structures.

Fund IV is the fourth private credit vehicle managed by the investment team, which pioneered dedicated MENA private credit in 2008. Following the integration of the platform into Janus Henderson in 2024, the team combines its deep regional relationships and local market expertise with the institutional resources and global reach of Janus Henderson Investors.

The strategy provides primarily Shariah-compliant capital solutions to profitable mid-market companies across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and selected MENA markets. The team focuses on directly originated transactions that seek to provide strong downside protection, with resilient cash flows, experienced management teams and clear paths to repayment or refinancing. Investments typically support growth, acquisitions, refinancings and shareholder transitions across defensive and resilient sectors.

"The Middle East is a strategically important region for Janus Henderson and an area where we continue to see significant opportunities to support clients with innovative investment solutions. The continued growth of our MENA private credit platform, including the successful second close of Fund IV, reflects our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of investors across the Gulf," said Ali Dibadj, Chief Executive Officer of Janus Henderson.

“The strong second close reflects the growing recognition among regional investors of the role private credit can play in diversified portfolios, while also highlighting the expanding opportunity to provide flexible capital to MENA businesses,” said Sikander Ahmed, Head of MENA Private Credit and Senior Executive Officer of Janus Henderson Investors Middle East.

Fund IV is expected to make 10 to 12 investments of $15 million to $50 million over its life. The strategy builds on the team's long-running MENA private credit platform and responds to demand from Shariah-compliant institutional investors in the region and globally.

Across its track record, including investments made under its predecessor firm, the Janus Henderson Emerging Markets Private Investments team has completed 40 investments and 36 exits across 10 countries, and launched eight funds, four of which have been fully exited.

IACIT to showcase RMT 0200 weather radar and MIND platform at Meteorological Technology World Expo 2026

Brazilian-developed technologies combine weather monitoring and integrated data analysis to support critical operations.

IACIT will showcase its RMT 0200 weather radar and MIND platform at Meteorological Technology World Expo 2026, taking place from October 6 to 8 at RAI Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The event brings together more than 150 exhibitors and professionals from around the world working in meteorology, hydrometeorology, metocean technology, and environmental monitoring.

The two solutions highlight the Brazilian company’s capabilities in weather observation, data integration, and decision support for critical applications.

Developed and manufactured in Brazil, the RMT 0200 is an S-band weather radar featuring dual polarization and fully solid-state transmission. With a monitoring range of up to 400 kilometers, it supports the detection and monitoring of weather phenomena, including severe weather events.

Five RMT 0200 radars currently operate within the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) network, providing meteorological monitoring across the Amazon Flight Information Region (FIR-AZ). Seven additional systems are planned for installation to expand and modernize the FAB’s weather monitoring coverage in different regions of Brazil.

An additional unit supports the work of Brazil’s National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (CEMADEN). The radar provides meteorological data to help the center monitor severe weather and issue warnings for areas vulnerable to floods, landslides, and other related hazards.

Integrated data for operational decision-making

Complementing the radar’s observation capabilities, MIND — Meteorological Integrated Nowcasting for Decision-making — brings together data from weather radars, surface stations, satellites, and numerical weather prediction models.

Using advanced processing and artificial intelligence capabilities, the platform monitors changing atmospheric conditions, identifies potential risks, and generates alerts. Its integrated, real-time view helps operators interpret large volumes of meteorological data and use them to guide planning and operational responses.

MIND can support air traffic control centers, civil defense operations, and other activities that depend on timely weather information.

“Presenting the RMT 0200 and MIND at Meteorological Technology World Expo is an opportunity to demonstrate Brazil’s ability to develop and manufacture advanced technologies for critical meteorological applications. Our engineering team developed these solutions to meet real operational needs, and they are now used in environments that demand precision, availability, and reliability. We want to share with the international market the expertise and technological capabilities that IACIT has built in Brazil over the past four decades,” says Luiz Teixeira, CEO of IACIT.

The exhibition will also provide opportunities for IACIT to engage with meteorological services, research institutions, companies, and potential international partners. This year’s event takes place alongside TECO-2026, the World Meteorological Organization’s Technical Conference on Instruments and Methods of Observation.

Visitors can meet the IACIT team at Stand C15.

Workshop X Launches 2027 Outlook on the Future of Saudi Arabia’s Events and Knowledge Economy

The new outlook identifies five trends expected to influence how Saudi forums and business events create knowledge, engage audiences and deliver long-term impact in 2027

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, October 4 2026: Workshop X, a Saudi knowledge partner specializing in forums, conferences and knowledge platforms, has launched its 2027 Events and Knowledge Economy Outlook, identifying five trends expected to shape the next phase of Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving events landscape.

Developed from more than five years of experience designing and delivering knowledge programs across Saudi Arabia’s national platforms, including Biban 23, the World Investment Conference 28 and the Ministry of Culture’s Riyadh International Book Fair 21, the outlook examines how expectations surrounding business events are changing as Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as a destination for entrepreneurship, investment, innovation and international knowledge exchange.

The outlook argues that the industry is moving beyond conventional measures such as attendance, scale and speaker numbers. In 2027, successful forums will be judged by the content they generate, the professional communities they strengthen, and the outcomes that continue long after the event concludes.

“Saudi Arabia has demonstrated its ability to bring together influential leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and decision-makers through ambitious forums and conferences,” said Noor Marzoky, Founder and CEO of Workshop X. “The next opportunity is to build on this momentum by creating platforms that extend beyond a specific date or venue and continue delivering knowledge, connections and value throughout the year.”

Five trends shaping Saudi Arabia’s events and knowledge economy in 2027

1. Events will evolve into year-round knowledge platforms

Major events are shifting from isolated annual occasions into continuous knowledge platforms. Conversations begin before attendees enter the venue and continue afterward through reports, interviews, digital content, community engagement and follow-up initiatives.

This shift lets organisers maintain relationships with their audiences, reinforce key messages, and build greater long-term value from the ideas and expertise shared through their platforms.

2. Impact will become more important than attendance

Audience numbers remain relevant, but they no longer offer a complete measure of success. Organisers and stakeholders are placing more weight on the quality of participation, the knowledge exchanged, the connections established, and the actions an event generates.

This pushes teams to define their intended outcomes at the earliest stages of planning, then design programs that support those objectives.

“A full venue can demonstrate interest, but it does not necessarily show whether an event created meaningful impact,” Marzoky added. “The industry will increasingly need to ask what changed because a forum took place: What knowledge was shared? Which relationships were formed? What conversations continued? Those are the questions that will help define success.”

3. Content strategy will guide event development from the start

In 2027, content strategy sits at the centre of event planning rather than an afterthought. Instead of confirming a venue, speakers and agenda before deciding what the event should communicate, organisers start with a clear purpose, an audience need and a central narrative.

This content-led approach keeps speakers, sessions, communications and audience experiences contributing to one coherent conversation, and makes it easier to extend an event’s insights across media, digital channels and future programming.

4. Audience experience will become more personalised and participatory

As event calendars grow more crowded, audiences are more selective about where they invest their time. Workshop X sees rising demand for relevant, interactive experiences that let attendees engage according to their own professional interests and objectives.

Smaller discussions, tailored content journeys, facilitated networking and interactive formats increasingly complement traditional keynotes and panel sessions. Technology and artificial intelligence can support this shift by helping organisers understand audience interests and deliver more relevant experiences, but only when they serve a clear purpose rather than novelty for its own sake.

5. Saudi talent will take on more strategic and specialized roles

The continued growth of the industry is creating demand for Saudi expertise across content development, experience design, project strategy, stakeholder management, production, technology and impact measurement.

As local professionals gain experience delivering increasingly complex platforms, Workshop X expects them to play a larger role in shaping event narratives, directing multidisciplinary teams, and building experiences that meet international standards while reflecting a strong understanding of Saudi audiences and priorities.

“The growth of the sector is also creating an important professional legacy,” Marzoky said. “Saudi talent is gaining experience across disciplines that require creativity, strategic thinking and leadership. Investing in those capabilities will be essential to building an industry that is both ambitious and sustainable.”

From successful events to lasting platforms

According to the outlook, the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s events industry will be defined not only by the number or scale of events delivered but also by their ability to contribute to wider business and knowledge ecosystems.

For organisations planning forums and conferences in 2027, Workshop X recommends beginning with a clearly defined purpose, identifying the audience outcome the platform should create and developing a strategy for maintaining engagement after the event concludes.

By combining purposeful content, relevant audience experiences, measurable outcomes and strong local capabilities, Saudi Arabia’s forums can continue evolving into influential platforms that connect ideas, people and opportunities.
