أبوظبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة – 7 مايو 2026: اختتمت أمس الخميس فعاليات الدورة الخامسة من منصة “اصنع في الإمارات”، الحدث الصناعي الأبرز على مستوى دولة الإمارات، والتي استضافتها وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة بالتعاون مع وزارة الثقافة، ومكتب أبوظبي للاستثمار، ومجموعة «أدنوك»، وشركة العماد القابضة، ونظمتها مجموعة «أدنيك»، خلال الفترة من 4 إلى 7 مايو الجاري في مركز أدنيك أبوظبي، تحت شعار “الصناعات المتقدمة.. بنُظهر أقوى”.

وجمعت الدورة الخامسة نخبة من المسؤولين الحكوميين، وقيادات القطاع الخاص والصناعي، والمستثمرين، والمبتكرين، ورواد الأعمال، وصناع القرار من مختلف القطاعات، بمشاركة أكثر من 146 ألف زائر، بنسبة نمو تجاوزت 19% مقارنة بالدورة السابقة، إلى جانب 1245 جهة عارضة من 12 قطاعًا صناعيًا، وعلى مساحة بلغت 88 ألف متر مربع، لتسجل النسخة الأكبر منذ إطلاق المنصة.

وشهدت الدورة توقيع أكثر من 200 صفقة ومذكرة تفاهم شملت المشتريات، والاستثمارات، والمحتوى الوطني، وبرامج التمكين، والحلول التمويلية، والمشاريع التكنولوجية، بما يعكس أهمية المنصة ودورها في تعزيز تنافسية القطاع الصناعي الوطني، وربط الصناعة بالتكنولوجيا المتقدمة، وتوطين الصناعات الحيوية، وزيادة الصادرات الصناعية، وتعزيز مكانة دولة الإمارات على الخريطة الصناعية العالمية.

عزيمة لا تلين

وفي كلمته الافتتاحية، أكد معالي الدكتور سلطان بن أحمد الجابر، وزير الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة، أن منصة “اصنع في الإمارات” تأتي بعد تجربة مرت بها المنطقة وأثّرت تداعياتها على العالم، مشيرًا إلى أن دولة الإمارات واجهتها بعزيمة لا تلين، ووحدة راسخة، وهدف واضح لا يتغير. وقال معاليه: "إن التاريخ يسجل الأحداث والتحديات، ويسجل أيضاً كيف استجابت لها الدول، وماذا صنعت بعدها".

180 مليار درهم فرص مشتريات

وأعلن معاليه خلال الدورة الخامسة رفع قيمة فرص المشتريات الصناعية التراكمية من 168 مليار درهم إلى 180 مليار درهم خلال السنوات العشر المقبلة، بهدف توطين أكثر من 5000 منتج في قطاعات استراتيجية تعزز الأمن الاقتصادي والغذائي والصحي، وترفع استدامة الأعمال.

من الإمارات تبدأ الفرص

واختتم معالي الدكتور سلطان الجابر كلمته برسالة مباشرة إلى العالم قائلاً: "من الإمارات تبدأ الفرص. ومن الإمارات تنطلق الصناعات إلى العالم. ابنوا معنا. واستثمروا معنا. واصنعوا في الإمارات".

استثمارات بقيمة 48 مليار درهم

أعلنت شركة "تعزيز" بالشراكة مع شركة ألفا ظبي القابضة عن استثمار رأسمالي بقيمة 36.7 مليار درهم في كيماويات صناعية جديدة بمدينة الرويس الصناعية، فيما أعلنت «أدنوك» عن 7 مشاريع صناعية رئيسية ضمن برنامج المحتوى الوطني بإجمالي استثمارات تتجاوز 480 مليون درهم. كما أعلن مكتب أبوظبي للاستثمار عن 1.5 مليار درهم مقابل اتفاقيات مؤكدة للمصانع، وأعلنت «مبادلة» عن مشاريع استثمارية في قطاعات التكنولوجيا والغذاء والصحة بقيمة تجاوزت 4 مليارات درهم. ووقعت هيئة مناطق رأس الخيمة الاقتصادية «راكز» اتفاقيتين بقيمة 1.4 مليار درهم، كما وقعت شركة الاتحاد للماء والكهرباء اتفاقية تتجاوز قيمتها مليار درهم، فيما أعلنت «كيزاد» عن استثمارات بقيمة 2.1 مليار درهم، بالإضافة إلى استثمارات أخرى بقيمة 625 مليون درهم.

ممكنات بقيمة 19 مليار درهم

وأعلنت جهات حكومية ومؤسسات مالية عن ممكنات وحلول تمويلية بقيمة 19 مليار درهم، من بينها وزارة الاقتصاد والسياحة، وشركة الإمارات للطاقة النووية، ومكتب أبوظبي للصادرات، وبنك المشرق، ودبي الإسلامي، وصندوق الإمارات للنمو، ومصرف الإمارات للتنمية. وتهدف هذه الممكنات إلى توفير حلول تمويلية تنافسية، وتحفيز الاستثمارات الصناعية، ودعم توسع الشركات الصناعية، وتعزيز تبني التكنولوجيا المتقدمة ورفع تنافسية الصادرات الوطنية.

مشاريع بـ200 مليار درهم لـ"أدنوك"

أعلنت «أدنوك» استهداف ترسية مشروعات بقيمة 200 مليار درهم خلال السنوات الثلاث المقبلة، لتسريع نمو أعمالها وتنفيذ خططها الاستراتيجية، وذلك ضمن ملتقى “اصنع مع أدنوك”، الذي جمع كبار مقاولي الهندسة والمشتريات والإنشاءات مع المصنعين المحليين المعتمدين، بهدف تعزيز أولوية المنتجات المصنعة في الإمارات ضمن جميع مراحل تنفيذ المشاريع.

اتفاقيات بـ104.6 مليارات درهم لـ"تعزيز"

وأبرمت "تعزيز" اتفاقيات طويلة الأمد بقيمة 104.6 مليارات درهم لبيع وتوريد مواد كيماوية أولية تشمل الميثانول، والبولي فينيل كلوريد، وثنائي كلوريد الإيثيلين، ومونومر كلوريد الفينيل، والصودا الكاوية، والملح، والغاز الطبيعي. وتتراوح مدة الاتفاقيات بين 5 و25 عامًا، بما يضمن تأمين الطلب العالمي وتوفير المواد الأولية المحلية الموثوقة، ودعم نمو صناعة الكيماويات في الدولة.

الصندوق الوطني للمرونة الصناعية

كما أطلقت وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة ومصرف الإمارات للتنمية الصندوق الوطني للمرونة الصناعية بقيمة مليار درهم، بهدف دعم القطاعات الصناعية الحيوية، وتعزيز سلاسل الإمداد، وتأمين استمرارية الأعمال وسلاسل التوريد.

تعزيز حضور المنتجات الوطنية

وأطلقت وزارة الصناعة والتكنولوجيا المتقدمة ووزارة الاقتصاد والسياحة سياسة جديدة لتعزيز حضور المنتجات الوطنية في منافذ البيع ومنصات التجارة الإلكترونية، بما يسهم في رفع وعي المستهلكين، وتحفيز المصانع الوطنية، وتحقيق إحلال واردات غذائية تُقدّر بنحو ملياري درهم سنويًا.

برنامج المحتوى الوطني

وشهد برنامج المحتوى الوطني انضمام جهات وطنية جديدة من بينها «دو»، فيما جددت «الاتحاد للطيران» التزامها بدعم البرنامج. كما شارك 22 شريكًا استراتيجيًا في "يوم المحتوى الوطني"، وعقدوا أكثر من 260 اجتماع أعمال ثنائي مع المستثمرين والشركات، بهدف تعزيز الشراكات وخلق فرص صناعية واستثمارية جديدة.

جوائز تكريمية

وكرّمت جوائز "اصنع في الإمارات 2026" القادة والمبتكرين في ست فئات تشمل التكنولوجيا المتقدمة، والصناعة الوطنية، والجودة والمطابقة، والرائد الملهم، وقادة صناعة المستقبل، والحرف التقليدية الإماراتية.

Gerbou

 

Gerbou, meaning ‘welcome to my humble abode’ in Arabic, offers a fresh take on Emirati cuisine, inviting diners to explore the rich local culture and hospitality through its fusion dishes.

Abu Dhabi, UAE: 8 May, 2026 – The UAE Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science (UAEREP) participated in the Weather Modification Association (WMA) Annual Meeting 2026, which took place from 27 April to 1 May 2026 in Reno, Nevada, United States. The event brought together leading scientists, researchers, and practitioners to exchange knowledge and advance research and operational practices related to weather modification.

UAEREP took part in the meeting through the active engagement of its four awardees, who delivered high‑quality scientific presentations across key technical sessions. UAEREP supported the event as a sponsor, enhancing the programme’s visibility throughout the meeting and strengthening its presence among prominent scientific forums dedicated to advancing weather modification research.

His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Al Mandous, President of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and Director General of the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), said: “The WMA Annual Meeting is a valuable platform for facilitating knowledge exchange, strengthening cooperation among researchers, and promoting the responsible application of weather modification science and related operational practices. Such forums are essential for advancing credible scientific research, encouraging informed dialogue across disciplines, and supporting the development of sustainable and well‑governed weather modification practices. UAEREP’s engagement in the event reflects its continued commitment to contributing to global scientific discourse and supporting collaborative efforts that strengthen water security.”

For her part, Alya Al Mazrouei, Director of the UAE Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science and Director of the Research and Weather Enhancement Department at the National Center of Meteorology, said: “UAEREP’s participation in the 2026 WMA Annual Meeting demonstrates the depth and breadth of research supported by the programme. The contributions of our awardees reflect the diverse scientific methods advanced under UAEREP, including laboratory studies, numerical modeling, satellite‑based analysis, radar technologies, and artificial intelligence. Together, these efforts highlight UAEREP’s role in advancing application‑driven research that strengthens rain enhancement science and supports sustainable water management at the global level.”

As part of the meeting agenda, Dr. Michael Dixon, a Sixth Cycle UAEREP awardee and Principal Scientist at Echo Science Works in the United States, together with Professor Roelof Burger, Co‑Principal Investigator, from North-West University led a full‑day TITAN/LROSE workshop, which focused on advanced radar‑based tools and their operational applications in weather modification research. Dr. Dixon also delivered an additional presentation during the session on emerging technologies and artificial intelligence in weather modification. He is leading a UAEREP‑supported project titled “Advancing Cloud Seeding Science with Dual-Polarization Radar Signatures and AI”.

Professor Daniel Rosenfeld, a Fifth Cycle UAEREP awardee and a leading expert in weather modification at the Institute of Earth Sciences, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, delivered a presentation during the session on leveraging satellite observations to improve operations. His presentation drew on findings from his UAEREP‑supported project, “Identification of Clouds’ Microphysical Seedability in an Actionable Manner”.

Dr. Linda Zou, a First and Sixth Cycle UAEREP awardee and Professor at Victoria University in Australia, presented research on novel cloud seeding materials and the efficient use of water vapor for precipitation enhancement. Her work is supported through her UAEREP project focused on the “AI‑assisted Development and Optimization of Glaciogenic Cloud Seeding Materials”.

Professor Will Cantrell, a Fifth Cycle UAEREP awardee and Associate Provost for Graduate Education and Dean of the Graduate School at Michigan Technological University, presented laboratory research findings during the session on hygroscopic seeding laboratory studies and modeling. His presentation highlighted laboratory-based insights into hygroscopic seeding with powders, contributing to a deeper understanding of cloud susceptibility to seeding.

Through its active participation in international scientific forums such as the WMA Annual Meeting, UAEREP continues to strengthen global research partnerships and support scientific innovation that contributes to advancing rain enhancement research and achieving long‑term water resilience.

Dubai, UAE, 8 May 2026- The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) hosted a series of dynamic sessions as part of KnowTalks, its flagship knowledge initiative designed to create interactive platforms for exchanging insights and expertise on topics influencing individuals in the digital age.

Drawing strong online participation, the sessions centered on two key themes: enhancing psychological capabilities for navigating change and uncertainty with strength and resilience, and cyber safety as a vital line of defense against modern-day risks. These sessions brought together academic experts and field practitioners, fostering informed dialogue and knowledge exchange.

The first session, titled ‘Meeting Change with Resilient Minds,’ featured Dr. Saliha Afridi, Clinical Psychologist and Founder and Chairwoman of The LightHouse Arabia. Using an integrated methodological approach, she examined the growing sense of uncertainty experienced by individuals across various aspects of daily life, including work, health, and social relationships. The second session, titled ‘Be Cyber Smart: Stay One Step Ahead,’ was delivered by Afraa Al Mansoori, Senior Systems Engineer at Digital Dubai Authority. She highlighted the importance of cyber safety and the need to increase awareness of risks associated with everyday technology use. The session also reviewed common cyber threats faced by internet users, including phishing attempts, fraudulent websites, malware, identity theft, and financial fraud.

This session further outlined a set of practical guidelines to enhance cyber safety, including enabling two-factor authentication for important accounts, adopting safe browsing practices such as verifying website addresses, regularly updating systems and applications, and avoiding the sharing of sensitive personal information. These measures are designed to empower individuals to use the internet safely and responsibly.
