Dubai, UAE (26th May 2025): Building from the launch of Maison Dalí in Dubai, Chef Partner and Culinary Director Tristin Farmer is set to take his modern brasserie overseas for a limited-time pop-up in Copenhagen. From 12 June to 12 July, the restaurant will take over the Japanese Pagoda at Tivoli Gardens — a space reserved for Michelin-starred establishments from around the world — bringing with it a surreal culinary journey that blends Mediterranean soul with Japanese precision.
An acclaimed name in the fine dining world, Scottish-born Chef Tristin Farmer has played an instrumental role in shaping globally celebrated kitchens. With a career rooted in the Michelin-starred establishments of Petrus, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Maze, Tristin later moved to Singapore where he spearheaded the Nordic-Japanese concept ZEN — earning two Michelin stars soon after opening and a third Michelin star in 2021.
Now based in Dubai, Tristin brings his vision to life at Maison Dalí, located at The Opus by OMNIYAT. Inspired by the surrealist world of Salvador Dalí, the restaurant presents refined yet playful cuisine — blending Mediterranean flavours with Japanese techniques in a setting where imagination meets precision.
At the Tivoli Gardens pop-up, diners can expect the same level of detail and creativity that defines the Maison Dalí experience. A set menu — available for lunch at DKK 1,100 per person and dinner at DKK 1,900 per person — showcases standout dishes such as Mahogany Clam with cucumber, shiso and wasabi, King Crab with fermented pineapple and ikura, and Smoked Langoustine with juniper and kinome. Also featured are bold and surprising combinations like Fried Quail with caviar and kosho, Mangalitsa Pork with galangal vierge and char siu, and a whimsical take on dessert with a S’more made from cocoa nib koji, sesame and walnut.

The finale of the second edition of the UAE School Games successfully concluded at the Dubai Exhibition Center (DEC) in Expo City Dubai. The tournament was organized by the Ministry of Sports and the UAE National Olympic Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and various other sports federations and local educational authorities.
The closing ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports; H.E. Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; H.E. Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports; H.E. Mohammed Hamza Al Qassim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education; H.E. Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Assistant Undersecretary for Sports Development and Competitiveness at the Ministry of Sports; H.E. Aisha Miran, Director General of Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), H.E. Dr. Huda Al Matroushi, President of the UAE Modern Pentathlon Federation; H.E. Noura Al Jasmi, President of the UAE Badminton Federation.; along with several presidents of national sports federations and officials from the nation’s sports and education sectors and related fields. During the ceremony, H.E. Al Falasi honored the 1,365 male and female students who emerged as victors in various competitions from among 2,686 finalists.

The finals showcased intense competition among students aged 9 to 17, representing 875 schools from various emirates across the UAE. Participants competed in 12 sports disciplines, including athletics, swimming, fencing, badminton, judo, taekwondo, archery, football, jiu-jitsu, shooting, chess, and table tennis.
The competition concluded with a celebratory awards ceremony, honoring the top three performers in each sport. A total of 1,365 students received gold, silver, and bronze medals in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
The UAE School Games welcomes participation from both public and private schools across the country. It is held in three stages. The first stage occurs within schools, where students engage in training and compete in various sports. The second stage takes place at the emirate level, where schools compete locally within their respective emirates. The final stage is when top-performing students from each emirate come together to compete for medals, ultimately determining the championship winners.
Medal winners from the School Games Championship in selected sports are then invited to take part in athlete assessment and development programs organized by the Emirates Committee for Elite and High-Level Sports. These evaluations aim to assess the athlete's speed, strength, endurance, potential, and physical characteristics such as height and weight. Based on the results, athletes receive customized training and educational programs to support their development. The Committee, in collaboration with the relevant national sports federations, continually monitors each athlete's progress with the goal of preparing them to represent the UAE in international and Olympic competitions.
The primary goal of the School Games is to discover and nurture sporting talent within UAE schools, creating skilled athletes through training and development programs led by the Ministry of Sports. This initiative aims to empower young athletes to strengthen national teams and play a key role in advancing the National Sports Strategy 2031 objectives.

The 2024 report highlights that ICIEC has achieved USD 13 billion in business insured in the year 2024, bringing the cumulative Business Insured since inception to USD 121 billion, of which USD 96 billion is in export credit and USD 25 billion in investment. The Corporation facilitated USD 57 billion in intra-OIC trade and investment transactions and advanced its Third General Capital Increase to significantly enhance underwriting capacity and reinforce long-term financial stability. To drive operational excellence, ICIEC refined its pricing framework and enhanced economic capital models, ensuring more sustainable, risk-adjusted growth. Strategic partnerships were deepened with development partners and the private sector to unlock critical capital flows in food security and infrastructure projects. Dubai Land Department has officially launched the pilot phase of investment in tokenized real estate, marking the activation of the digital platform mint.prypco.com. The platform enables users to generate returns and own a share in a prime real estate project in Dubai. Currently available exclusively to UAE ID holders, the platform is set to expand globally in the near future, with additional platforms to be integrated in later phases, further reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation in tokenized real estate.
Innovative Investment Opportunities for Individuals
The project offers individuals innovative investment opportunities through the purchase of tokenized shares in ready-to-own properties in Dubai, starting from just AED 2,000. All transactions are carried out exclusively in UAE Dirhams, with no use of cryptocurrencies during the pilot phase. Through the platform, investors can access comprehensive property details, ranging from pricing, risk factors, and technical specifications to the minimum investment required, ensuring full transparency and informed decision-making.
This initiative stems from a strategic partnership agreement between Dubai Land Department, Prypco, and Ctrl Alt Solutions, aimed at developing an innovative regulatory and operational framework for real estate tokenization. The partnership focuses on strengthening legislation, promoting knowledge, attracting specialised asset tokenization companies, and supporting innovation while safeguarding investor rights. As the market continues to evolve, tokenized assets are projected to represent up to 7% of Dubai’s real estate market by 2033, equating to a value of AED 60 billion (USD 16 billion). The real estate tokenization project is jointly managed by Dubai Land Department, as the regulator of physical real estate assets, and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), as the regulatory body for digital assets. In the current phase, the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates plays a pivotal role in overseeing the opening of corporate accounts linked to real estate tokenization through the Client Money Account (CMA) system. This dedicated banking structure is designed to safeguard investor funds. Under this system, investors’ funds are deposited into the CMA and are not transferred to the tokenization company until the purchase process is fully completed, enhancing security and ensuring maximum transparency.
Facilitating individual investors' access to the market
This project comes as part of the DLD’s efforts to achieve the objectives of the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, which aims to reinforce Dubai’s global leadership in this vital sector by strengthening partnerships with the private sector and attracting innovative international companies. It is also aligned with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, which seeks to drive transformational projects that position Dubai as the world’s best city to live and work in, through a fully integrated digital economy that enhances the emirate’s position as a global hub for smart real estate investment.
The project’s initial phase is exclusively limited to ready-to-own properties, and tokenization is permitted only through companies licensed by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. Dubai Land Department is responsible for reviewing and validating the fairness of property pricing before any listing is approved on the platform. The pilot phase includes two authorized companies, Prypco and Ctrl Alt with plans to open the market to additional qualified firms in the future, supporting the growth of this emerging sector.
Rental and Capital Returns
Investors will benefit from both rental income and capital appreciation resulting from the property’s appreciation, while holding a legally documented ownership share issued by Dubai Land Department—ensuring a transparent and secure investment experience without the complexities of traditional property management.
This project is part of the Real Estate Evolution Space Initiative (REES) previously launched by Dubai Land Department, which aims to position Dubai on the global map for PropTech and artificial intelligence.
