Dubai, UAE – 20 May, 2025: His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, participated in a panel discussion titled "Redefining Industry, Trade, and Investment" as part of the opening ceremony at the 'Make It In The Emirates' event, where he reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to advancing its industrial sector and boosting local production through strategic initiatives and global partnerships.

The 'Make It In The Emirates' event has emerged as a vital platform for manufacturers, investors, and industry leaders, focusing on the UAE's industrial and manufacturing opportunities. The event emphasizes the nation’s economic diversification, technological innovation, and sustainability, helping to drive export-led growth.

The strong growth of the UAE’s goods export economy was highlighted in a recent report from the World Trade Organization, entitled ‘Global Trade Outlook and Statistics’. That WTO report showed the UAE now ranks 11^th globally in goods exports, with a value of US$603 billion in 2024. The nation rose six places in these rankings between 2021 and 2024, highlighting the effective nature of the UAE’s industrial policy.

During the panel, HE Al Zeyoudi emphasized the crucial role of trade and investment in fostering sustainable industrial growth and enhancing global competitiveness. He highlighted that the UAE’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) program serves as a significant catalyst, expanding access to markets around the world and integrating the nation into global supply chains. "The CEPA program is not only creating access to diverse markets but it is also facilitating knowledge transfer and skills development across various sectors," said HE Al Zeyoudi. "As we innovate and diversify, we are building a robust industrial foundation that will sustain our economic growth."

The UAE’s industrial strategy, underscored by initiatives like Project 300 billion and Make it in the Emirates, aims to shift the country’s export base towards high-value, knowledge-based sectors, including advanced manufacturing, Industry 4.0, clean technologies, and logistics. وقد تم تسليط الضوء على النمو القوي للصادرات الإماراتية من السلع في تقرير حديث صدر عن منظمة التجارة العالمية بعنوان "آفاق وإحصاءات التجارة العالمية". وبحسب التقرير، تحتل دولة الإمارات اليوم المرتبة الحادية عشرة عالمياً في صادرات السلع، بقيمة بلغت 603 مليارات دولار في عام 2024. ويشير التقرير إلى تقدم الدولة ست مراتب في التصنيف بين عامي 2021 و2024 ما يعكس فاعلية السياسات الصناعية التي تنتهجها الدولة.

The management of the schools expressed their gratitude, noting the positive impact on the health and learning environment of their students. This project not only benefits the school community but also serves as an inspiration for other businesses and communities to adopt responsible practices. We anticipate that a total of 1,223 individuals (comprising 1,098 students and 125 staff members) are drinking water from this RO system, potentially resulting in annual plastic waste savings of 4.4 tons per annum.

Following its entry into the market with two mid-luxury projects, AMWAJ is now entering a new phase, developing luxury communities of higher value — starting with its flagship project in May 2025, which marks the launch of the developer’s third project. This initiative reflects AMWAJ’s commitment to building with purpose, integrating environmental stewardship into the heart of its future-facing developments.

Launched in collaboration with Green Gardenia Landscaping and One Hive Group — the UAE-based sustainability organisation behind Hatta Honey Hive — the YALLA BEENA! initiative with the slogan “small wings, big purpose” seeks to counteract the decline of pollinator populations, a growing concern amid rapid urbanisation and climate shifts.

Green Gardenia adopted and gave a home to three native Apis mellifera hives, each housing approximately 60,000 hardworking bees. These vibrant colonies play a vital role in supporting the local Hatta ecosystem by pollinating native flora, enhancing biodiversity, and helping nature thrive. Each bee can visit around 5 thousand flowers per day, covering between 75% and 80% of our fruit and vegetables, ensuring our food security.
