Fabtech and France’s Groupe M sign agreement to develop equipment and services for UAE’s nuclear energy sector from Dubai Industrial City

 

 

Fabtech, based at Dubai Industrial City, will leverage synergies with Groupe M to offer locally manufactured products and services for the nuclear and sustainable energies sectors

Dubai, UAE, 18 March 2025: Fabtech Engineering, a steel fabrication specialist based at Dubai Industrial City, has entered a strategic agreement with French industrial leader Groupe M to accelerate innovation and sustainable development in the UAE’s nuclear and sustainable energies sectors.

The agreement was signed during a ceremony attended by Nicolas Niemtchinow, Ambassador of the French Republic to the UAE; Anouar Mekkas, Nuclear and Renewable Energy Adviser at the French Ambassy in Saudi Arabia and the UAE; and, on behalf of Dubai Industrial City, Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President of Industrial at TECOM Group PJSC. Fabtech Engineering’s Chairman, Dr. Harry Moraes, and Vice President Business Development, Fabien Jeoffroy, signed the agreement with Groupe M’s Chairman, Julien Monteiro, and Deputy CEO Pierre-Laurent Buch. Also in attendance were representatives from the French Nuclear Strategic Committee, Business France, Trouvay Cauvin, and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in UAE.

Fabtech is active in the heavy manufacturing segment in the GCC and global markets, and will expand its nuclear sector offering through the partnership with Groupe M by offering its ‘Made in UAE’ products to both local and international customers. The companies will develop comprehensive engineering, manufacturing, and on-site products and solutions to support the nuclear and sustainable energies sector, contributing to the long-term goals of UAE Energy Strategy 2050.

The agreement builds on strong economic ties between the UAE and France, with bilateral trade exchange between the countries growing 16.8% to reach AED 29.4 billion in 2022. During the 16^th session of the UAE-France Strategic Dialogue held in May 2024, senior officials from both countries reflected on successful partnerships and industrial cooperation in areas including renewables and nuclear energy, and explored ways to further expand their cooperation in areas such as new builds and small nuclear reactors.

الإمارات العربية المتحدة، أبوظبي – 18 مارس 2025: تستعد حلبة مرسى ياس لاستقبال معسكر "متسابقو المستقبل" من جديد، وهو برنامج حيوي يقام خلال إجازة الربيع ويجمع بين إثارة رياضة السيارات والتعلم القائم على العلوم والرياضيات والتكنولوجيا والهندسة. يُقام المعسكر في الفترة من 24 إلى 28 مارس ومن 31 مارس إلى 4 أبريل، وهو مخصص للأطفال الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 7 و14 عامًا ليمنحهم فرصة فريدة لاستكشاف عالم السباقات والهندسة في واحدة من أكثر حلبات السباق شهرة في العالم.

 

يُقام المخيم في مركز أدنوك لتجربة "ياس في المدارس"، حيث يمكن للمشاركين الصغار الاستمتاع بتجربة تغمرهم في عالم تعليم  العلوم المستوحى من الفورمولا 1.  وبفضل تاريخ يمتد لأكثر من 15 عامًا في برامج STEM  "العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات"، وأكثر من مليون ساعة تعليمية ومشاركة ما يزيد على 58,000 طالب من أكثر من 1,100 مدرسة، سيستمتع المشاركون بأنشطة عملية فريدة تعزز الفضول والإبداع والثقة بالنفس.

 

تشمل الأنشطة برنامج "فورمولا إثارة" الذي يعد مقدمة عملية لمفاهيم STEM حيث يصمم المشاركون سيارات مصغرة مستوحاة من الفورمولا 1 ومن ثم صنعها والتسابق بها. كما يتضمن المعسكر برنامج "الفورمولا 1 في المدارس"  الذي يعتبر أكبر مسابقة STEM في العالم، حيث يتحدى الطلاب لتصميم وتصنيع سيارة فورمولا 1 مصغرة باستخدام تقنية CAD/CAM والتسابق بها،  بالإضافة إلى برنامج 4x4 في المدارس - هو تجربة تقنية متقدمة تتيح للمشاركين الصغار تصميم وبرمجة سيارات مصغرة رباعية الدفع يتم التحكم فيها عن بُعد لاجتياز مسار مليء بالتحديات.

 

 

يوفر البرنامج مرونة في التسجيل، ويمكن للعائلات اختيار الاشتراك في أي من الأسبوعين أو كليهما. يتميز كل أسبوع بجلسات مختلفة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات مما يضمن تجربة جديدة وثرية للمشاركين في كلا الأسبوعين.

Wego reveals the most popular Ramadan destinations for Kuwait travelers this year

Wego’s Ramadan data reveals a blend of steadfast loyalty and surging interest in different destinations, alongside notable airfare fluctuations shaping travel decisions.

 

Top Ramadan Destinations for Kuwaiti travelers

 

Egypt, India, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan retain their positions as the most-searched international destinations, reflecting cultural ties and family-centric travel. Bangladesh, Jordan, the Philippines, Nepal, Türkiye, and the United Arab Emirates, round out the top 10 with Nepal emerging as this year’s standout growth market.

 

Flight searches to Nepal for travels during Ramadan have seen more than a fivefold increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, searches to Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, and Jordan have more than doubled this year.

 

Even the destination with the most modest growth of the lineup, Türkiye, saw YoY 54.51% increase in searches on Wego.

 

Airfare trends

 

Wego data showed that airfares for top Ramadan destinations from Kuwait have risen by an average of 17.51% YoY, attributed to high seasonal demand.

 

Ramadan airfare spikes for the United Arab Emirates (+64.63%) Nepal (+43.65%), and Pakistan (+36.70%) have been observed to be among the highest compared to last year.
