Cairo, Egypt, March 31st 2016 – A signing ceremony was held for one of the largest syndicated loan agreements between the private-sector banks and international investors in the last couple of years in Egypt. A consortium of banks including Arab Bank, Bank Audi, Alex Bank, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Emirates NBD, Mashreq and National Bank of Kuwait as IMLAs and Book-runners successfully inked an EGP 2.5 billion syndicated loan with Majid Al Futtaim. The agreement covers financing the construction and development of the company’s latest project in Egypt: City Centre Almaza. As per the agreement, Arab Bank acts as the facility agent while Bank Audi acts as the security agent. While Alex Bank and National Bank of Abu Dhabi acting as account banks.

With EGP 4 billion worth of investments, City Centre Almaza is expected to create 22,000 direct and 14,000 indirect job opportunities. The mall is located in Cairo’s high-end suburb of Heliopolis on the north eastern quadrant of the junction between the Cairo-Suez Road and Nasr Road in Heliopolis, and is projected to open by 2019.
2.5 مليار جنيه مصرى تمويل مشترك لماجد الفطيم بإدارة البنك العربي كوكيل للتمويل
القاهرة في 31 مارس 2016 - في أكبر صفقة تمويل خلال الفترة الأخيرة للقطاع الخاص والإستثمار المباشر، قام تحالف مجموعة من البنوك يضم كلا من البنك العربي وبنوك عودة، والإسكندرية، وأبو ظبى الوطنى، والإمارات دبى الوطنى، والمشرق، والكويت الوطنى بترتيب وضمان تغطية التمويل اللازم لمشروع إنشاء سيتي سنتر ألماظة الذي تمتلكه وتديره ماجد الفطيم من خلال قرض مشترك بقيمة أجمالية تبلغ 2.5 مليار جنيه. وسيقوم البنك العربي بدور وكيل التمويل و بنك عودة بدور وكيل الضمان فيما حصل بنك الأسكندرية و بنك أبوظبى الوطنى على دور بنوك الحسابات. وقد تم التوقيع على عقد التمويل، ومن المتوقع أن يتم السحب من التمويل فور إستيفاء الشروط المسبقة للسحب.
وتعكس هذا الصفقة بشكل كبير مدى مساهمة القطاع المصرفي، وخاصة البنوك العربية العاملة فى السوق المحلي، فى دعم المشروعات الاقتصادية الضخمة التى من شأنها المشاركة في دفع عجلة الاقتصاد وخلق فرص عمل جديدة. وتعكس الصفقة أيضاً حرص ماجد الفطيم العقارية على المشاركة في التنمية المستدامة للاقتصاد المصري من خلال مشاريعها الاستثمارية الضخمة والتي تهدف إلى تقديم كل ما هو فريد وغير مسبوق في قطاعي التجزئة والترفيه المحليين.
من الجدير بالذكر أن التكاليف الاستثمارية لمشروع سيتي سنتر ألماظة تبلغ 4 مليارت جنيه ومن المتوقع أن توفر 22 ألف فرصة عمل مباشرة و14 ألف فرصة عمل غير مباشرة. و يقع المشروع شمال شرق طريقي القاهرة – السويس وطريق النصر بمصر الجديدة ومن المتوقع افتتاحه في 2019.
